I really like learning languages, possibly from being born and raised in Germany in a Czechoslovakian family and then moving to the UK, so there's a lot of languages in there, but I'm currently learning French in school, and Japanese out of school.
Though my Chinese friend gives me quite a lot of Chinese on the side.
And for some reason my brain has decided it's chill with another language.
It's like this:

I remember as a young child we had a Chinese family living on our road, their house looked like something out of a Chinese storybook, the vines growing on the house, a small cherry blossom tree, water fountains the whole works it just looked so magical everytime I passed by. Everytime I did, I greeted the elderly Grandad with a Ni Hao, and he always said it back. So this greeting brings back memories of my childhood.❤️

I used to think Chinese was so hard. I tried learning from other sources but they weren't useful. But now after seeing your videos, i think now with a little practice, i can master it. Learning how to speak is Not so difficult based on my observation.I studied Mandarin in Shanghai for almost 2years or more speaking is not so difficult but writing you have to memorize each character’s not like English (A,B,C…..) after studying Mandarin I went to Switzerland and Studied High German up to Level B2 and until now I have difficulties with the correct grammar. Especially if local people spoke Dialect .🙈🙈🙈 (Sorry if my English is not so good😊😊😊)

Learning mandarin is Challenging but fun and actually more easy for me compared to other languages I’m learning. I took 3 years of Spanish and never could retain much. I’ve been learning mandarin for only a couple weeks without a teacher and I already can hold a basic conversation also next time I visit China I’ll be able to get around easy🥰🤗 Your lessons is one of the ways I’m learning so thank you.

I think it's a bit difficult at first, but then you catch on. The important thing to know is the tone or pitch at which you speak it, as it can mean something totally different even with the same phrase. That's one thing I have learned in the past. Thank you for sharing this lesson 😁🙏

Cool. Now I can greet some of my customers when they come in my office. I figure if they left their country and have tried to learn my native tongue, I could at least make them feel welcome and use theirs, even if it's just a few words.
My mother loves to travel but refuses to learn even basic phrases of the language of where she visits. Says they cater to old white people so she doesn't bother.
Me I try to at least learn a few basics. Like I'm lost or im sorry I only speak English . Or most important. Where is the bathroom. Lol
Even just please and thank makes waiters and waitresses and other service persons very happy.
I tend get very decent service or a lot of good chuckles at my crappy pronunciations lol. But most are tickled I tried to converse with them in their launguages.
