Basically this is a cut down version of the GTP but can access your local data. Of course a lot more useful compared to the old Siri.
Now I’m pissed, I thought it was iPhone 15 but it’s only the pro versions :(
i don't see any pain in getting the normal iphones , i will never buy the normal phones , the pro looks better anyway , they have websites to buy used phones they're not all 2 million dollars

A workaround would have been to allow M-series devices to offload local processing for otherwise unsupported devices. Many of us a Mac at home or carry an iPad with us during the day; leverage the connection between them all.
I’ve had an iPhone 13 PM from launch, so almost 3 years now, and was planning on keeping for another 3 years at least. The hardware is amazing and still runs like the day I got it (was looking at changing the battery though). And iPhones change very little year on year anyway, so 6 years on this phone would usually be possible. But after WWDC, I found myself looking at 15 PM prices and I’ll probably just get the 16 PM. Maybe this is Apple’s way of reinvigorating iPhone sales, it’s certainly worked on me.
You should wait a bit longer, since they said the system can decide where to run the AI, so most of their features running on device, but they also have server based features too. So not sure but maybe if the device itself not capable to run the AI it sending to the server, which is probably take a bit more time, but just to try out the features should be enough. So just wait until the release how exactly their mixed AI works, i mean if they already have server based AI too, than maybe even the small requests can be made with the server if your device is not capable.
Like it or not, but Apple actually managed to fool you in fear mongering for missing out on these "new features". I have a 15 pro but if I were you I'd keep on using that 13 pro max cause 13 series and above gave Apple another M1 fiasco where the devices are future proofed for a long time.

I have the 13PM too and I actually am considering getting the 16PM one because it’s bigger, two because finally a big change in AI( yes Samsung had it oh well) but also it’s because my battery from the 13 is starting to become less efficient as the years go bye obviously but it dies too quick for my liking, so a bigger phone is obviously better, also I want Dynamic Island which is better than the notch we have. My reasons for upgrading after an amazing 3 years with my phone

Another great video Tech Chap! ...The iPhone 13's processor the A15 Bionic chip that is getting ios18 but not Apple Intelligence has the equivalent processing power of the M1 which is getting the "Apple Intelligence" feature...It even has the same Neural Engine as the M1 all iPhones sold since including the iPad mini 6 Apple needs to get this out of beta and in people's hands that's paid for this processing power.

Interesting video. I work for a major player in the AI world and I can tell you from my experience, that an awful lot of AI is nothing new, in fact, more smoke and mirrors. Frankly, in this instance I strongly doubt iPhone users will be crying out for much, if any of this. Of course it's all personal choice and if it works for you then great.
I'm not excited that I have to trade in my 14 Pro, still an excellent device, to get AI if I want it. This smacks of Google and only the Pixel 8 Pro's getting the best AI.
I agree I don’t care what others say i have both 15 pro and 14 pro but in my opinion 14 pro>>15 pro
I don't get why Apple has this bizarre reputation for being "all about privacy", when it's literally doing what the competition also does. In fact, the competition goes FURTHER in detailing what it does with your data, something you can't find simply with Apple.
Can't wait to see the real world usage of all this "on device" AI, because that processing power is gonna eat up battery.
Will Apple's retail store staff provide free tutorials or workshops on how to use the so called Apple Intelligence?
Why fact that m1 has 8gb ram (same as a17 pro) is always forgotten?
For years iphone was ok with smaller ram as had no real need, now there is big reason but most iphones 4-6 gb ram ;(
i downloaded iOS 18 on my 2020 iphone se but siri still looks the same.
siri will not change on your phone because it's notan iphone 15 pro or pro max and even for those , it will not be available until fall
The fact that it will only be available in iPhone 15 pro onwards is criminal.

Samsung only made the AI features available to S23 a while after S24 was released. I’d say Apple declaring that it will be available on iPhone 15 Pro on launch makes this a win.

I have an iPhone 15 pro (yay!). HOWEVER, as I’m in the UK, I’m still screwed as all those Apple Intelligence features require you to change your language to US English 😡

Hardly any difference between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 as far as the processor.
Apple is letting down their customers.
I thought there was a big difference in processing power. I saw an article showing that the processing power needed for aI was much greater in the A17 Chips than previous gens. I could be wrong though, I’m not an expert. I wouldn’t put it past Apple to do that shady stuff.

I’ll believe ‘Apple intelligence’ when I see it. After years of Siri ineptitude it’s on Apple to prove that it can do what it claims, not the other way around.

Crazy that Apple’s AI is locked behind a Pro/Pro Max wall. Iphone 14 Pro and Pro Max and even iphone 15 base and Plus are not even capable of it. Another marketing tactic to make us upgrade our phones. As far as I know, Samsung supports all S series models as old as the S22 series. Unbelievable Apple!

I'm switching back to Android and Windows because with iPhone 15 Apple won't support a device that's less than a year old. That's literally a scam.
Elon Musk is not directly involved with Apple's artificial intelligence efforts. While Musk has been influential in the AI field through his work with OpenAI and other ventures, there is no indication that he is part of Apple's AI project 🤔

App tracking transparency amd sign in with apple ate also the highest pribacy feature that Facebook and many advertisers hated
Nope, but you will realise when you must pay for the image generation for Samsung because it's happening on a server, and remain free for Apple because it's happening on the device.. even if both called to AI generated image, the difference is the same like to play a music from streaming or play it localy from your device...
Apple is a very different phone, it has a different OS and its own ecosystem, Apple doesn't make products based on competition, they make products based on their own tech... Samsung is amazing but people should stop comparing Android with IOS....
