Steve looking amazing at 73. God bless him.
Dude looks 10 years younger AT LEAST
hes 73? he looks great for 73.. wish him a long healthy happy life
Relaxing in his villas shouldn't be too hard
But not as mentally sharp as Biden
i know! that's first thing i thought-- like wtaf?! He stayed same age past twenty yrs and i aged into mid fifties almost! frack!
1:20 YES -- The Woz, the OG co-founder, the genuine Engineer, "I was impressed with the demos, I always am, but I still believe strongly you should try it and find out." Despite his wealth and Apple as basically his child, he's still telling the public to not fall for the hype, that real technology matters. I mean, he's positive and excited about his own company, but amazingly he's still reminding the public to look beyond the hype. Of all the original Silicon Valley tech titans from that 1970s era, The Woz is the best and most decent.
Yeah, agreed, WOZ literally said, F* around and Find Out, in the most politely sanitary way possible…
🤔
4:27 Absolutely, and just Woz taking all that hype and putting it into relation with an almost 30 years old product, the Newton PDA.
I remember watching a coworker using his Newton back in 1996 on a daily basis, very impressive back then.
Compare and contrast to current LLMs radicalizing us politically and socially, recommending glue for Pizza and a stone every day to keep the doctor away.
Amen! Woz is the actual engineer that made Apple's original products. The creator that was pushed stage left by the marketing salesman who had the charm & ego to grab the spotlight. I love that he is still the creative & enthusiastic, but savvy, computer user who knows that demos almost always look great, but the real world is when you try to use it in your daily human life.
Woz has always been the true friend of the computer user community, and he was always about user empowerment, not a closed proprietary system designed to trap the user on a tech plantation. Unfortunately, the proprietary route won out and Woz was stiff armed to the sidelines. But those of us who were around when the Apple II came out know that Woz insisting on all those expansion slots truly empowered us to dive into personal computing and customize/innovate as needed.
Thanks Woz! Much love & respect to you brother. And thanks for continuing to tell it like it is. We can always rely on you for an honest review with wise advice...
@@alanmcrae8594 Well, we know how the alternative route worked, because of Microsoft and PC manufacturers like Dell. Apple is the company it is today because of that Marketing Salesman with the Charm & Ego to grab the spotlight…
Think Different.
🤔
@@dipi71 I recently listened to Steve Jobs biography and I think I remember him regretting a bit to never have worked on this
"are you impressed?" "sorry what?" "oh" "no!" .... wow Woz has been media trained well! :D
They were looking for a sound bite from a true nerd. He’s actually thinking through what he says, he isn’t trying to affect the stock price
I think he’s a bum who hasn’t done anything consequential in 30 years and has made a career of talking down other engineers’ work
I appreciate actual intelligence.
🧠
Computerized artificial intelligence is going to help to draw for us a really thick line between what a computer can do and what humans are actually good for.
Like you know we live and die, we are mortal and we've got our own perspective based on that. No computer kind of incorporates that risk into its Hey Siri responses.
Poetically I think AI is going to encourage us to be more human.
Good one dad
I call AI (or in German KI) Textl-Mächtl… or software bot hanky-panky. Computers have never, ever displayed intelligence in any way, shape, or form. They just regurgitate what has been dumped into them. Yes, garbage in / garbage out has made major improvements, but the only thing intelligent is the human using it.
Im going to use that lol Woz is the best
Last of the real Apple guys.
BS, and just exactly what constitutes as you put a “a real apple guy “ ? I guess everybody at Apple now is fake? You sound stupid. Refrain from commenting.
So are you impressed? No. Lol
Love that part! :) Great Old Woz!
Yep I love how he says you should "try it and find out" , ie buy the products 😅
@@brandonreed09 Sounds like a salesman, but actually saying the opposite, try it before offering judgement… prudently reserved, clear sign of "actual intelligence".
@@gr8dvd that would only be true if their was a money back guarantee or free trial period. Woz isn't stating either of those. It's definitely a sales tactic, don't believe the reviews just buy it and decide for yourself. It may sound innocent but it's a very common sales strategy especially for products with negative reviews.
He is right 😂 Integrating openAI api into Siri is not very impressive. Building the Apple 1 on paper was impressive.
The man, the myth, the legend! Steve Woz!
The Woz*
@@Ricardofox12 yeah, as in literally THe one and only, who was the gearhead who created the first personal computer. WOW! ffs!
That AI joke 😂
lowkey funny
The man is a gem.
good human being, good communicator, great technologist
Actually… a guy with a good head on his shoulders not caught up in all the hype. ;-)
"So, it's safe to say, you were impressed?" "No" 😂😂😂😂😂
🤣
😂😂😂
He said he was impressed as always… but the proof is in the pudding of actual use. ;-)
iPad finally has a calculator.
Apple magic.
I’m still amazed we can have icons at the bottom and empty space up top. Only took Apple 2 decades.
but a really nice one
Six months ago I found the perfect calculator for iPad, Uno Calc. I love it.
The Math Notes is actually my favorite part of the keynote, ngl.
@@ganlet20 We’ve had that since iPhone OS 1. If you’re not jailbreaking your iPhone, you’re using it wrong.
Actual intelligence 🤣 Wozniak cracks up all the time…
You can tell that man is SUPER critical about the company. That's why he would be the PERFECT CEO to take over after Tim. Steve Jobs would literally call his own products garbage and demand his engineers to make something great. And guess what? Both Steves have the same mentallity: try the product yourself and then give your opinion about it. Tim couldn't hold a candle on Woz: he is honest, passionate, and a complete nerd!
couldn't agree more!
The problem is that Woz never wanted to be in a managerial role.
He always just wanted to be an engineer (and a teacher).
He’s still technically an employee of Apple (he gets a small salary) so it’s a little strange they don’t at least consult with him on some things.
I want AI to work and pay my bills so I’m free.
Try using logic. It will make your life 10x better.
@@onatics logic = effort, trying to avoid effort
Same here. I want AI to do that too, so I can write poetry or something. But as of now, all it has done is try to take my job, and also do the art 😑.
@@OnlyOneKich That doesnt make sense. AI cant do your bills for you if you need to pay for AI to begin with.
You'll NEVER be free 🤣🤣🤣🤣 + if that happens you've just been replaced and redundant
So happy to see The Woz! 😃
The great Woz! Honest about his own company’s products!
And that’s why, kids, you also don’t pre-buy video games, and actually anything at all. Thanks for your intellectual honesty, Woz.
Multimodal AI with VR is the super human power within reach.
There should be a measure of humility in the way that these companies handle the roll out of their "AI" products.
The tech world would be a better place with this Steve's vision
Siri has been a massive disappointment to me. So much unrealized potential.
Nobody uses Siri, so Apple has not put much effort into it over the years. Can’t say I blame them. I have never used Siri in my life and I have always had apple products.
@@alwhitney68 It makes a great egg timer🤣
One thing I would truly appreciate would be a smarter Siri.
Yep Siri TRASHHHHH
Around half of WWDC this year was entirely dedicated to Siri
That’s exactly what Apple just announced. Siri is going to be powered by Apple Intelligence.
Now that Siri will use chatgpt we are good
@@Myhouse-zf4wt only for 15 pro tho 😒
Great to hear his views!
This man is a coding genius!
Read his code can make one cry!!
Woz... THE man that actually created it all. I love that guy!
“Siri sometimes has trouble with it”! 😂😂😂 3:39
I love that he mentions the newton!
He mentioned the NEWTON! 👌🥹🥹❤❤
AI - Actual Intelligence, thank u Steve!😁👍
Not the "Wizard of OZ".....the true Wizard is Woz
I'm most excited about changing my icon colors. What a time to be alive.
lol
Woz is an incredible human.
Excellent comments! Especially the one about ‘actual intelligence’ !!!!! Cracked me up !!!!
Woz is a legend. Co-founder of Apple, the largest company in the World. Plus he’s a nice guy.
I now see why it took Apple sooo long to make a calculator app for the iPad.
Protect the Woz at all costs.
He should be the CEO
The 70s were amazing! 😁
I feel amazed to know that this Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs created the most valuable company, starting from a garage with no automatic machines all by themselves.
Woz is my dream dinner guest
99% of iPhone users on a Bus: "hey Siri, look up porn".
Not
Nice to see The Woz still thinking intelligently.
Need transparency on what data sources have been used.
Referring to the Newton: "What was that, 20 years ago or so?" LOL, same Woz, same.
Flip phones exist right?
Got to love The Woz!
He kinda reminds me of Mark Hamilton, His demeanour!
Like a very genuine guy!
AI that can write a functional brick breaker app. Nobody beats the Woz'!
I can tell they’ve already been using Ai. Before an update, the suggested words were on par with what I was typing, it predicted what I wanted 95% of the time, but after, it’s like my phone became an idiot. It keeps suggesting things that makes absolutely no sense.
the calendar monthview has grey dots....
It's hard to believe that AI has progressed so fast that most of the pioneers of the AI revolution are still alive and active in the community. The Woz was there at the very beginning.
I was happy with that $200 3G phone
It's not mentioned anywhere on their website whether it's opt-in or opt-out. I really hope for every user's sake it's opt-in, but knowing big tech these days, it's probably on by default and very hard to actually turn off. This one's slightly better than Microsoft's version, but still pretty terrible from a security and privacy perspective.
The Great and Powerful Woz. 🤩
Does anyone know if Steve is still directly associated with Apple? Like does he have access to the Apple offices or collars with the engineers?
He's still on the Apple Employee Roster. Woz mostly likely doesn't have clearances to development facilities at Apple Park/Offices. Woz is simply a PR person for Apple like an influencer.
@@iDevicesUnleashed He's pretty bad at his job
@@iDevicesUnleashed How much stock does he own might be a good question.
@@weirdshibainu it’s not his job really, he doesn’t work at Apple, it’s more of an honorary position on the roster
It doesn't sound like it lol
Simplifying the interface would be a great benefit. Rather than a patchwork of different apps and screens, just the voice interface to state what you want and perhaps clarify some. As long as it doesn't deteriorate into a voice equivalent, where you have to navigate verbally through a maze just like today, just aural instead of visual.
Woz tells it like it is. Keeps it onehundooo
A moment of silence for the people who bought the iPhone 15…. So we can hear Apple 💩 on you
No no, I think I'll be just fine without AI
It will take much more than Apple announced they have added, or "come up with". All they did was announce they are using ChatGPT and an image generator, just like Google, Microsoft and Meta announced months ago. So much for Apple innovation.
I loved the Newton. Had every model. People didn't like it, but it was just too ahead of its time.
Apple should bring back woz to lead the ai agent project.
Sooner or later they'll create an AI clone to bring back Jobs to travel into space age
Great GUY ,Always. Impressed me as creative and. Honest also non greedy compared to some other APPLE employees. 😊😊
Excellent!
This will put a lot of people in therapy as they see themselves through the eyes of AI. 😂
AI are also trained like good therapist and psychiatrist etc
"AI. The cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems".
/Not Homer Simpson
@@PSy84 sad thing is some ppl are so shallow , insipid and unimaginative that they might not notice much difference tween AI and a therapist.
AI is amazing these days but only if Ads are not funneling answers
Great explanation - it will make me an APPLE 🍎 owner to assist in my teaching work. On the other hand, most of the talking heads, although rich, had no idea what they heard and little understanding of the hardware (Apple silicon with neural networks) and the software to use the power in the silicon.
I'm so glad woz is doing ok. Coolest guy in tech and the true innovator behind apple
I love how every year people drag Steve Woz out of his house for his thoughts on Apple changes 😂😂
Apple finally hopped on the train.. Bout time. AI gives everyone the ability to achieve greatness. On my profiIe I explain it all..
I mean, to be fair, Apple has been on that train since the early 2010s at least, since they added dedicated acceleration for it all the way back 7 years ago to all of their devices. It just took them until now to really overtly promote that they were using it.
@@babybirdhome I didnt know that!
Actual intelligence- aggregated by word models for AI does reflect the intelligence of a wide variety of idiocy, as well. Hallucinations
I call it “Textl-Mächtl”… a play on the German slang “techtl-mechtl” which means hanky-panky. In a way… powerful (Mächtig/Mächtl) hanky-panky with text.
Now if someone could package Woz’s actual intelligence like they did with the iwm and swim chips, I’d buy that.😁
I think Apple has laid the foundation with their hardware for AI to work better. Just as Microsoft is now looking at new PC hardware for their AI. Apple is walking cautiously into the AI space, because they always have a more user experience focus, rather than just being first.
Actual intelligence 😀
I started using IPhone just one year ago due to work. Siri was/is the biggest disappointment for me. I can barely use if for anything reliably other than setting an alarm.
Maybe he should take over Apple and make them like it was before
woz > AI
💕the the Woz👍
I’d like to have Steve tweak my backgrounds in zoom. It never looks as smooth as his does here. 😏
❤️ Steve Wozniak 🧠
Things have sure moved on from the Apple I.It's interesting to hear from someone who was there from the start
Apple’s take on Textl-Mächtl could be interesting.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Apple still has a bit of Woz in it.
I've always thought that Mr. Jobs would have ended up selling calculators for Monroe if he hadn't ran into Mr. Wozniak.
It’s probably the opposite.
As Shelden says the great and powerful Woz
appreciate all the helpful tips and insights you provide. I really hope that with your help I can achieve success and solve my financial problems.
Steve should check his BMI score
Woz for CEO of Apple!
That white dress and dame Edna glasses would bring in the viewers. I recall a blue dress, but this was so cute. Those high school glasses too.
The interaction at 1:00 is telling. I bet the journalist rarely interacts with foreigners or rarely has been abroad.
She said “so you’re impressed, safe to say”, but it was difficult to understand her. Steve asks her to repeat, but she repeats the exact same words, just louder, but still as fast.
But he is not a foreign
It was a connection issue…
I love how he remains the goat
bro gets it
After your video's I become a better trader! Thank you for lessons
Math Notes! ❤
Seeing so much positivity here is wonderful. God bless you all!
There’s some weird numerological coincidence at 2:50 in this video, Apple stock is down by Pi, to 2 decimal paces, but if you include the % numerals, that is Pi to 5 decimal places 🤯😊
"A" can be applied to many an order of intelligence :-)
I think he is the only apple co-founder who also uses android
Just name your kid Steve and he's guaranteed to create the biggest company in the world.
I am not an isheep, but it's really unfortunate that a humble, genius and honest guy like this doesn't run the fruit company anymore. Fruit company now consists of mo.rons who decided to send all the data to OpenAI, and then worry about how to hijack the acronym AI into Apple Intelligence. It's truly tragic how many millions of Isheeps exist.
It's also amazing that Microsoft got slammed on how it chose to train it's AI, when it was just being open about it. But here if you just call it Private Cloud or whatever, and that it's done by Apple, suddenly it's a big deal XD
Woz never ran apple, he co-founded the company and designed a couple of boards, that's really about it. The Apple II ran a version of Microsoft Basic for heaven's sakes. You are a moron.
Woz has been my hero, for 40 years.
