I had (double) abdominal hernia repair surgery and was told I was cleared to go back to heavy lifting and physical activities after 6 weeks....here I am nearly a year post-surgery and I've just NOW gotten back to lifting while still not feeling quite at 100%; maybe 90%. My point is no matter how educated you are, and how many years you've studied the body - you don't know how long it takes to be 100% until you've gone through it for yourself. Spurs handled this situation so wrong. They had players publicly criticize Kawhi injury like they know what's going on with his body. Even the coach took shots at his Kawhi regarding the injury while speaking to the media.
