I had (double) abdominal hernia repair surgery and was told I was cleared to go back to heavy lifting and physical activities after 6 weeks....here I am nearly a year post-surgery and I've just NOW gotten back to lifting while still not feeling quite at 100%; maybe 90%. My point is no matter how educated you are, and how many years you've studied the body - you don't know how long it takes to be 100% until you've gone through it for yourself. They're handling this situation terribly, both for the team and Kawhi. The Spurs have lost Kawhi, now they don't have their 26 year old two-way franchise player anymore to build a team around, they also won't be able to trade him for a very good price with the question marks about his injury. And for Kawhi, the man was considered as a top 3-4 player in the league; and now he has disappeared. Nobody even knows whether it's from an injury or not.

Spurs handled this situation so wrong. They had players publicly criticize Kawhi injury like they know what's going on with his body. Even the coach took shots at his Kawhi regarding the injury while speaking to the media.
I dont blame Kawhi for wanting to leave. This is not slavery that man should be able to have a work environment that he loves like we all want.
However, I hope he goes to the Celtics. I used to really like the Spurs before this occurred.

Contusions can really hurt. The doctors will say that it'll get stronger and the pain will eventually go away if you try to play through it, but the pain is so intense that it doesn't feel like it will.
