      I've honestly underrated Giddey a lot myself. He is just too weird of a player to where I cannot properly picture him in a set role that's going to result in him & the team be better. He plays very awkward so it's hard for me to properly assess him

    The Clippers best chance of winning was in 2020 and they blew it. With the younger teams maturing into better squads that can perform and the East being stacked with several teams (the most overwhelming being Giannis and the Bucks), the Clippers look like they’ll replicate the Lob City era in playoff success. Shoutout to them though for making it to the WCF for the first time in 2021.

    In the clippers defense if Kawhi never goes down they likely get to the finals a few years ago. Unfortunately injuries happen, but the clippers had a more than competent roster and Kawhi s health more than anything and still currently is what’s kept them out of the finals. Not roster talent or this trade.

    are you really suggesting that Shai shouldn't be traded for PG13? Common man... You really think that Shai could've carried Clippers in the 2021 playoffs against Utah like PG did?

    • @tooforwon241
      @tooforwon241  2 роки тому +2

      I never said this. I simply was saying that this trade is aging poorly for the Clippers. With the title window closing, that trade was a win now trade. If they fail to get one title out of that blockbuster deal, the Thunder will be the victors (having accrued massive capital that we've yet to see the potential of)

    • @Kodreanu23
      @Kodreanu23 2 роки тому

      @@tooforwon241 but if you say Thunder were the victors you are saying that Clippers shouldn't done the trade. But that's a "After the war everyone is the general" take.
      The reality is that Clippers were never a desirable destination and haven't ever reached WCF let alone finals or title. They wanted to make an abrupt move to change the picture, put eggs in one basket and they had opportunity with Kawhi who at the moment just finished third best scoring playoffs ever (behind Jordan 93 and Lebron 2018). So when, if not then?
      It didn't play out obviously, mostly because of Kawhi's health (if healthy I think they would take the title 2021).
      So, to have this revisionist take is weak, my bro.
      They've risked, it didn't play out the way they wanted (although they've reached conf. finals first time in history, so something was achieved), but those things happen. You need to push your chips sometimes.
