Hey Shen. I’ve been watching since I was in middle school with your Civ 5 Brazil Campaign in 2013. I’m now getting ready to finish up my Bachelors in Accounting in the coming semester. I tried getting into Twitch but the vods were too time consuming and I guess I’m just growing up. I know you’ve long since abandoned the channel, but I wanted to let you know that your let’s plays of RimWorld, Civ 5, XCOM, and EU4 have been the background to many parts of my life. Thanks for everything, but it’s time for me to unsubscribe and move on. Take care.
I'm still subscribed too. I used to piss myself laughing at Shen being silly years ago when I first started playing EU4. Never got into twitch, there was something off-putting about the idea of sitting down and watching a whole stream of 6 hours.
@villain For life The point of the comment is that they can't really get into twitch though. I know I can't. The only time I've bothered with a livestream is Unus Annus's final livestream, and that was a historic event of sorts. I'll watch the occasional vod, but I find them much less entertaining than videos while also being far more time consuming.
I like youtube streaming because you can rewind up to 2 hours. So it helps if you're late to a stream. And you can go back a few seconds if you missed something. And you can watch on 1.5x speed until you catch up to live. So many features that twitch doesnt have.
Twitch is just infinitely better for streaming because of the chat and much better UI/interface imo. UA-cam would only be useful for the VODs, Twitch isn't great for watching VODs since they generally are deleted after a while.
@@BoxerBoyPilky01 UA-cam is getting better and better at the whole streaming business and a lot of people have made it here. It will become a serious competitor and most likely outperform Twitch for some Areas. For example in the Total War Community UA-cam has already overtaken Twitch in views.
I'm actually mad he did this, I was a loyal subscriber since his California super states mod game play, which got me into paradox games as a whole, this dude hasn't even uploaded in a year smh.

From what I had read. Shen is not happy with UA-cam. It has nothing to do with Twitch. UA-cam basically shot themselves in the foot over some policies against content creators and such. So he won't return unless the policies change.
What are your thoughts about "Mixer" considering all of the bad press twitch is getting? What are your other streaming options? I really appreciate your gentle explanations of games i enjoy.
I know Twitch is probably more fun for you and that it *definitely* makes you more money, but I do wish you would have hired someone to edit the vods down for you to upload here like some other streamers do. Even if you never do that, I'm glad you still have an audience and are doing stuff. I watched your video irregularly but always enjoyed them when I did. I still think about the popemobile papal states game sometimes and get a giggle out of it

If you have a common sence, you shouldn't play EU4 Korea with that sunny flag. Plz think when you choosing cool symbol for your profile image. If you still take care your youtube, you should change your profile image to another one.
