You asked for it, and we listened! With so many people getting in the hobby today we are very excited about the popularity of our mighty mini Tiny Tutor. This little aircraft has been incredibly popular and we are grateful for your support! With so many ready for the next step in the journey in flight, we have received many requests for a version that gives them the ability for aerobatics through a sport wing with a ailerons. Today, Josh takes on that challenge to create a fast build sport wing they can go from mild to wild in the air. Along with aerobatics, the FT team puts the little playing through its paces and decides to do a durability test by flying at through the manufacturing building that creates all of the great flitetest kits. Come along on this journey and see if we can do the impossible with a little foam plane, anyone can build! The FT tiny turbo tutoring is now available along with the classic FT Tiny tutor. If you’re on the fence on whether to get into this Great Hobbies, we hope that this answers your questions about how great DIY model aviation can be!

Video signal looked rough. I think that made it way harder
Fortunately, my signal is a bit better. We had to put a separate DVR inside the building to capture the fly through but it made any external footage near impossible to capture.

Please play with Kline-Fogleman stepped airfoils. They would be SUPER easy to make with foam sheets.
Yes, We have been discussing this. The airfoils of the Tutor, Scout and a few others have a slight under-camber. I've designed a built a few park jets with KF4 wings. Locating the step is the key!
I got a crazy difficult challenge for you. Build 1 to 1 scale RC replica of a cirrus vision jet from foam. Use techniques like you did with the hovercraft like the interior. Love your content. keep the great work. --- Kishan

with it configured with the ailerons, and with the battery in, is it still less than 250 grams?
Mine weighed 260 g. You’ll need to peel the inside of the paper off of the wing, and the fuselage, and be very strategic with glue to keep it under 250. The three channel can be built under 250.

Hay would you consider adding flaps
I have a Tiny Tutor and I'll be getting this wing and using a 5 channel receiver so I can set up aileron-flaps with just the ailerons. I know the flaps should be in-board of the ailerons but I've done this before and it works. The 5 channel RadioMaster PWM ExpressLRS receivers are tiny and not expensive.
Can't you just mix elevons on the tail so you'd have ailerons without adding ailerons?
I was thinking back when you guys put holes in the plane. and than about the movie "The Aviator" where he's like make it super smooth no rivets. Soooooo what would happen if you covered a plane with sand paper? ok make it happen lol
covering a plane with sandpaper would make no difference to aerodynamics because the velocity of the air at the wing's surface during flight is zero. Eliminating bits like the skewers and rubber bands would smooth the aerodynamics. Good questions.

Can you run a 3s battery on this?
You can run it on a small 3cell. So it will definitely be over 250 g and the flight characteristics are greatly compromised. It’s faster, but not as balanced in flight. The two sell gives you great performance, and still plenty of power for its size.

Can anyone tell me if this use the power pod mini ? Ive lost the template i made for the tiny tutor motor 😢
The tiny Tutor uses a slightly larger mini power pod that is utilized on the FT mini old fogey, and the FT fun pack. It’s a bit more versatile in the original mini firewall.
