    Does the trolling motor get in the way with forward facing sonar where you currently have it mounted?

    what about the wire in very high winds? sometimes 30-40 mph or running at 35-45 mph? seems not a good idea for the wire.

    What size ram mount is that. I have installed some with the 1.5” and they’re terrible. You can’t keep them stationary at all. Squeezes the ram ball in. I like how the cable is ran through this one though and the cleanliness for sure.

      The Ram Mount used for the Poleducer is the D Size w/2.25" ball mount.

    I don't think it does ,, but I am not the sharpest needle in the box lol does it matter which side of the boat its mounted on ,, is there a reason you would pick one side of the boat over the other side?

      The Poleducer can be mounted portside or starboard side. Users preference. Some put it on the opposite side of which hand they hold the fishing rod in.

    My transducer is made to go on the trolling motor but like a lot of people I don't want it there. It has screw bands. Will this fit on the PoleDucer assembly? Thanks.

      Is this an SI-DI transom transducer you have mounted to the trolling motor externally and want to move it to the Poleducer?

  • @ChuckRiley123

    How deep into the water should the transducer submerged using the polducer?

    How about instructions on length of materials and how wires are run. Really good idea and design. Painted black it also looks good. Just need some more detail.

      The PoleDucer is made up of a Marine Grade Fiberglass like your trolling motor shaft. We built this item on longevity. The shaft length is 60" and it is on a D Size 2.25" Ball Ram Mount. The Ram Mount allows for the break-a-way ability if you fish timber. The shaft won't bend nor will your $1500 transducer get broken off. We designed the 60" shaft inside diameter large enough the allow the LiveScope transducer cable to go up the center of the shaft from the bottom and out the top for cable management and the ability to raise and lower the shaft throughout the day. The fiberglass is a clear white base then dipped in a black base paint. We have sold over 700 last year and sales continue to be strong going into 2020.

      We developed the 60" shaft out of fiberglass utilizing a marine-grade resin for strength and longevity. Lifetime warranty on the shaft. The inside diameter allows for the transducer cable to be run inside the shaft eliminating the need to have the transducer cable secured somehow (zipped tied) outside the shaft. This was part of the simple, clean appearance we were looking for. The fiberglass shaft along with the D-Size 2.25" RamMount allow for the "break-away" ability thus not causing damage to the shaft or transducer if striking an underwater object. The PoleDucer allows the angler total control of the transducer to be pointed at the intended target and not have their images skewed by the trolling motor turning left/right etc...That being said the PoleDucer is also a great option for any transducer and can be rotated in a 360-degree fashion to see all around your boat.
      For those that have an electric-steer trolling motor like the xi3, xi5, Ulterra, Terrova or PowerDrive V2 The PoleDucer is simply another option to mount the transducer to instead of purchasing the cable guard system required from other companies to mount a transducer to those type trolling motors.
      Mounting: The PoleDucer can be mounted to the Fortrex or Ultrex trolling motor side plate or to the gunnel of your boat.
      The RamMount is 3.25 lb. (which is dead weight when attached to the boat) and the PoleDucer is 5.25 lb.
      The Pole Ducer allows for the end-user to keep in touch with there target 100%.
      * Marine Grade Fiberglass shaft (no bending of the shaft if you bump a tree)
      * Ram Mount Break-A-Way ability (keeps from breaking your transducer)
      * All Transducer Cables slide up the center of the shaft (no need to manage the transducer cable)
      * You can tilt the pole/transducer (for an unprecedented view like no other system)

    Does the pole have resistance so you can control it in the water from moving?

    • @DavidatShutupandFish
      @DavidatShutupandFish  2 роки тому

      Yes, you can add resistance to the shaft by simply tightening down on the bolts for the sleeve clamp.

    How would you put this on a pontoon

    • @WereAllThatBored
      @WereAllThatBored 4 роки тому

      Buy a pontoon trolling motor mount, 1 inch tubing, and a trolling motor shaft collar to adjust the depth. Add a handle and youre done.

      @WereAllThatBored 3 роки тому

      PJ Jackson to add to my post above. You can see where there is a nut that allows you to lock the shaft in place or leave it loose enough to rotate the sensor
