Waheeda ji was a beautiful famous actress with excellent skills of acting.. She was also a very good dancer. Guru Dutt is a talented successful actor and director. However, god hid the flames of the life of Guru Dutt Waheeda and Gita Dutt in the first meeting that took place in Hyderabad that day. And your accent is truly incomparable.. God bless you

Brilliant video...simply superb...so different and new about the rendezvous between Guru Dutt and the gorgeous Waheeda...and how beautifully narrated...Simply superb Rahoul...thanks for sharing
I have watched CID nd indeed, more than the lead actress, it was Waheeda ji's performance which I liked d most. Wat a nice story.. this z wat we call Serendipity 💫 ♥️♥️
Rahoul, thanks for the very well researched story on 2 of my all time favorite film personalities. Waheedaji is from Hyderabad though she grew up in Chennai owing to her father being a civil servant. Minor beef with your Telugu pronunciation ….it’s Missamma(one composite word) and rojulu maaraayi(ma mein bhi deergha maatra). Guru Dutt was unsure of Waheedaji’s Hindi speaking skills and made her converse to ensure that she ‘does’ know…also wanted to change her name to ‘Rosie’ but Waheedaji stood her ground! Then we know ‘waqt ne kiya, kya haseen sitam’
Mr Voltairec, Great share of the information which you have added on this episode on Waheedaji ..I am a huge fan of her.. First movie which I saw of her was :- Navketan Films GUIDE.. the rest of her earlier movies I watched in matinee shows at 11:00am which we're shows in few theater's.. That time it was one Screen Theater.. Thanks to Sir Rahoul.. For bringing these kind of episodes..
Wow !!! Now this is destiny !! Had the distributor not invited Guru Dutt to Hyderabad to see the super hit movie, which we now know that he did not like it at all. Had Guru Dutt not accepted his distributor's invitatiion, had the driver not met with an accident, then Guru Dutt would have never stayed in Hyderabad for 3 days and he would never had met Waheeda Rehman who had become so popular with a single dance in the Telugu movie - Rojnumarai. The most interesting part is that neither Waheeda Rehman nor Guru Dutt were familiar to Hyderabad, yet Hyderabad bacame the lucky place for both of them. You have very rightly said " The days surely changed for Waheeda Rehmaan ". Her small role in CID and her superhit song left a very strong impression and she got herself established in Bollywood. The relationship between Guru Dutt Waheeda Rehmaan can be called the best definition of Platonic Relationship. Thank you Rahoul for this wonderful podcast ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Incredible story. Thanks a lot Rahoulji. There are so many rumours about their first meeting.Once I read in a magazine that they met the same way what shown in the film 'Kagaz ke phool'.Two unknown person took shelter under a tree in a rainy day.But it was wrong. You have enlighted us about the real incident. Both are great and rare gems of bollywood.
Your comment on film is very powerful. Your style is extraordinary, I feel that Gurudatt and waheeda is before me everything is happening before me. Thank 🌹
Just to add, the song you are referring to as waheeda Rahman's dance song in Tamil film, has been remade as Dekne main bhola hai, dilka salona, bambai se aaya hai babu
