Hi Everyone! If you want to see a complete Row by Row in real time demonstration of this square, please see our Live Workshop here: ua-cam.com/users/live4gW3f_6N0GE?feature=share
Other Important Tips:
1. This square is essentially a Solid Double Crochet Granny Square with loops added at each corner and atop the middle stitch of each side (every row).
2. Row 1: Side Count = 3, Row 2: Side Count = 7, Row 3: Side Count = 11, Row 4: Side Count = 15, Row 5: Side Count = 19, Row 6: Side Count = 23
3. There is an equal number of stitches on either side of the Middle Stitch in each side. The Middle Stitch always gets the Ch-10 Loop.
😊
It’s a no for me I’ll just do a different granny for march!
That's very helpful to know it is a solid dc granny. Thank you!
I'm working on my second one. Still takes forever to get to the 3rd round.
I got it and I went into the loop like you said. Thank you so much. I'm forever your fan. I tell everyone to look you up
Jayda Jayda Jayda!! You are doing the darned thing!! L❤VE IT!! ❤❤❤
😁 Thank you for watching!
It helped me to change the “Playback Speed” to .75 for this tutorial. It also helped to pause occasionally and to replay. It’s a beautiful square, and not difficult once you’ve done a couple of rows. Go slow, take breaks, and enjoy the process. Thank you, Jayda. Great job once again! 🧶🎉
Hi Debra, great advice! Not too many people realize you can slow down (and speed up!) videos here on UA-cam 💗
This is the first time I have ever been frustrated with a Jayda tutorial. I am on row two, and now she wants me to do the rest myself. Maybe I need some lunch! I will come back and tackle it with renewed brain power.
Exactly. She’s going way too fast this time. I’ve paused and rewatched so many times.
I’m working on the March square, taking my time. I’ve frogged round two twice. But it’s not going to win. I am .
I keep stopping and starting Jayda, I’ll master the March square I’m sure of it..
I figured out that by clipping the loops down with clear stitch markers I can see the square much better and I use green stitch markers for the corner loops.
I’ve finally made to
round four. I’m on my way now.
And yes. Set it down walk away in between rounds, or even corners if you have too.
But stitch markers helped me so much. Don’t get frustrated. You’ve got this
Good to know we're in this together.🥰
@@cherylschram862 yes holding down the loops with the clips works really well. It was definitely challenging which is great, but she just needs to slow down just a bit. She’s a great teacher, though. I’ve watched so many of her videos and made so many things.
Very beautiful, but I do agree, it’s confusing and will take some time to master...lol I see an Afghan in my future
By row 5 I had that one of those ‘I think she’s got it’ moment 😅 very challenging to start, but great when I got it. Thanks Jayda xx
AWESOME! I love it when the light turns on 😁 I get so excited when that happens! I love a good challenge too, the satisfaction of "getting it" feels amazing 💗
@@JaydaInStitches I am going to have another go, my square is bigger than my other two, so I'm going to try again using a smaller hook 😃
WOW! Fascinating! Thank you! You’re such an excellent teacher. The square is so pretty. Magic!
Thank you so much Virginia!
Oh my. This looks lovely Jayda! Unfortunately I don’t have the time to watch the video right now but I will for sure. As someone who learned granny squares years ago, I was beyond sick of them. And it’s still a struggle. That being said, their resurgence is awesome. I can’t wait to watch and will later. Right now family health is top priority. Hapoy Friday.❤️❤️
Take care Thea 💗
Thank you Jayda!💗
I don't know first hand but I've heard acid will make you hallucinate. Does this look like an octopus on acid to anyone but me?😂😂😂
* giggle * I think you're having a better weekend than I am already 🤣
Oh Jayda! You hit it out of the ballpark with this one!!!! Just beautiful! Thank you for your wonderful tutorials! Wishing you and your family much love and many blessings!
Hi Monica! Thank you so much 💗
Loved the challenge of this month’s square! Had to stay focused on which loop I was on to ensure I slip stitched in to the correct spot. Counting stitches per side also helped.
Hi Mary Jean! We're so happy to hear you enjoyed the challenge! It results in such a pretty square 😊
This one is a challenge...I've practiced 6x with scrap yarn..glad I did. I promised 10 blanket s this year so I am making 12..This month will take me past April. But....I am woman.......HEAR ME ROAR....POWER TO ALL WOMEN AND STAY STRONG AND BEAUTIFUL.. Jada u r awesome❤.ty
Tracy, YOU GOT THIS! Take the challenge, slay it and roar!!! There is nothing that can replace the feeling of achievement 💗💗💗
Wow had a hard time finding this today even though I am subscribed could not find any notifications
Hi Crocus! You were the first comment, so I think you found it first thing 😁 It published at exactly 11:00 AM Eastern 💗
can you make a teddy bear suitcase i saw it look good
That's really pretty.....looks like something I'm going to mess up a few times 🤦 looks easy but complicated at the same time.
Just take it 1 row at a time, and use those stitch markers 💗
I love this but at 75 yrs old, it looks very complicated.😮😂 Im going to try it. Thanks Jada, you're the best❤
You can do it
Hi Jean! You can do it! It's just double crochets and chains 💗 Take your time and be patient with yourself - I still have to do that too 😁
@@JaydaInStitches thanks for the reply and encouraging positive words. Ive done jacobs ladder on a mile a minute afghan and enjoy the braiding. I will definately try this
I'm 68 sweetheart. I’m doing it. You can too. Just hang in there. I found it helpful to start braiding right away. It Keeps the loops under control and it no longer looked like an octopus on acid.
@@donnasstitch-in-timecroche8903 hey girl. Thanks for the encouragement. Im certainly going to do this with a positive attitude and enthusiam as soon as i finish the cat stitch afghan im working on. Love you, stay well🥰😻😘😍
O.M.G! I finally did it. Several backtracks because of the loops but I kept at it and got it done. Looks good. ❤ The next ones will be easier, I think.
HI Dawn, that's fantastic!
Jayda this is amazing! I’m glad March is a long month to give me time to really work on this (I’m doing 8 squares each month). Can’t wait to get started!!
Hi Sandy! Just take it easy, by the time you get to the end of the 3rd row, it's MUCH easier to see and the pattern feels less confusing 💗
@@JaydaInStitches thanks Jayda. Good to know 😊
A bit of encouragement to pass on - as you add rows, and therefore more double crochets, the loops become easier to manage.
Yes! Thank you for that Teddi, it's true!!
Ok. I was going to stop trying but I tried something else. I just watched t video few times without crocheting at t same time and finally got it. My advice is this.. watch it few times until you get it and then try it. It worked for me and I hope it does it to you.
By t way thank you Jayda! Beautiful work!
Thank you Maria! And YES! I totally concur. It's like cooking: it's often a good idea to read through the entire recipe before you start cooking - the same can be said for a pattern or tutorial 😊
Oh my gosh you gave an idea there! 🤪 I should do that when following a recipe too. Thanks
Lindo trabalho,Obrigada por compartilhar
Hi! Thank you for watching 😊
I am really enjoying this calendar blanket! Thank you so much!
We're so glad you're enjoying it!
I didn't do this square right away because I thought I needed more patience before I settled and sat down to do it. But it was a fun square to do. Thank you for making this ladder pattern into a square. ❤
Hi! Thank you for watching, I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed it 😊
Am I right? Are there 5 dc before each corner and 6 dc after each corner on round 3??? I'm grateful Jayda is walking us through this. I don't think I could do it on my own.
Hi Donna! You can also check out our Live Workshop now (I pinned it in the comment up top) on row 3 there are 11 sts per side, if you're working right handed it will be 6, loop, 5. OR you can look at it like this: 5 dc, middle dc plus ch-10 loop, 5 dc next corner etc.
Here is the answer about the story in the Bible it’s found in the First book of the Bible Genesis 28:12. To sum it up Jacob had a dream and he sees a ladder with The Angels of God ascending and descending on it. It’s an amazing story. It is also a true story. I pray that you and your beautiful husband check it out. ❤❤
Hi Linda, thank you for the info!
This is a fantastic square and I had no trouble at all following it , pretty easy pattern , I'm going to make a whole blanket with these squares .. if I use a smaller hook to make the square a little smaller , shouldn't be a problem?
Hi Dawn, you can downsize hook & yarn with this pattern no problem 😁 Thank you for watching!
I have had the hardest time getting this square completed!!! I've taken it out more times than I would confess too. I am determined and I will complete this square!!! 😏
Hi Joan! If you think it might be helpful, we did a deep-dive CAL on this square here: ua-cam.com/users/live4gW3f_6N0GE?feature=share A lot of folks found it useful 😊
This month’s square is super lovely. I have a question though. It is considerably larger than the previous ones. Will you address this in the instructions for the final assembly of the blanket?
Hi we address this at the end of the video! It's the same number of rows and stitches. Tension can vary from person to person as can the way a pattern unfolds. My March square is exactly the same size as my January square and my February square is the same height as the other two and just a smidgen skinnier on account of the pattern.
This square has got me stumped. I have the pattern down. My stitch counts are right. My hook and yarn are the same sizes I've been using. When I make the square, however, it comes out warped and bunchy as if there are too many stitches. I don't know what to do.
Hi Jessica! If it ruffles or warps you might find it helps to pull out the 4 corners at the end of each row as I do. This helps ease up on the tension of your stitches. Creating the braids also essentially gives the square 8 spines and that can make the dc sts in between either feel loose or bunched up. This can make the square overall a little bigger than the other squares, but like I mentioned, all patterns work a little different, so sizing can vary. So long as the stitch count is accurate it will work 😊 You can block your square if the ruffling irks you in the short term but when you have it joined up with it's neighbour squares later on it will smooth out.

Love doing squares!! Can't wait to try this one. By the way, where did you get your stitch markers? I would loe to get them. Thanks.
HI Annmarie! They're sewing clips 😁 You can get them on Amazon, we have an affiliate link you can use here: Easy Stitch Marker Clips - amzn.to/2FESzcV
Would you be able to put Jacob's-ladder Rose in between the corners If you want to make it into a full size blanket that would make enter extra rows of Jacob ladders further out like a starburst It's just a thought I was just wondering could you please let me know thank you very much my sister loves this stitch but she wants it in a blanket and she doesn't want squares so that just came to the top of my brain
Hi Jackie, you can start adding Ladders at any time, but that will change the look of the initial square. Imagine several rows ahead, maybe Row 10 and half way between the corner and the middle Ladder you start a new one, and do the same on the other side of the middle ladder and do that on all 4 sides. Then, each row after that you'd be making a ladder directly on top of the previous rows'. You'd now be making 3 ladders per side in addition to the corner ladders. The ladders would NOT start in the centre, they would just suddenly start part way through the square. I think It would still look pretty cool 😁
HI,
I THINK THIS IS THE MOST COMPLICATED AND CONFUSING. HAD TO PULL APART FIVE TIMES BEFORE I FINALLY GOT IT. THE PROBLEM IS ITS TOO WAVY AND IT DON'T LAY FLAT. WHAT CAN I DO? HELP!!!!!!
Hi Gail! I'm so happy to hear you got it! Don't worry about it begin wavy, but if you pull out the corners as you work (at the end of each row as I was doing) it will help ease the stitches. The waviness will disappear once it's added into the blanket. But you can also block it lightly right now if you want too 💗
I felt kind of frustrated for the 1st few rows. The loops make it feel very fidley, but once i hit row 4, i started to get the hang of it. I do really like the snowflake look of it, it's very pretty.
Hi Sarah! This one was a challenge for sure, but I have to agree, the results are so pretty 💗
I love this! I had to concentrate and it was a challenge but the more I did, the better it looked! Really lovely granny square! Thank you!
Fantastic! Thank you for watching Anne 😊
❤❤❤
Hi Jayda hope you are well. Quick question is okay just to slip stitch into the loop in row 6. Thank you
Hi! Do not slip stitch into the chained loop, this will create an extra stitch. You want to put the loop over your hook, or put another way, put your hook THROUGH the chained loop, like it's not there, and then double crochet into the next st. You don't want to slip stitch into the chained loop and treat it like a stitch because then you'd have to skip a stitch before or after that while crocheting in order to maintain the correct stitch count. That would throw off the look of the square. Once row 6 is finished, you can go around and pull out all the loops to make them sit properly on your square 😊
Jayda, This is a lovely square! Watching the video, however, I’m feeling a little intimidated! I hope I can do it! I’ll give it the old college try. By the way, you look beautiful today! I love your sweater. Did you crochet the collar of the sweater?
HI Janet, you can do it! Just take it slow 💗 Yes! That's my collar, and I love that thing I wear it all the time. We have a tutorial on it here: ua-cam.com/video/57h1xf13Pns/v-deo.html
I also like the pretty collar you are wearing with your sweater in this vide.
Thank you! We have a tutorial for that too here: ua-cam.com/video/57h1xf13Pns/v-deo.html
Well I don't know whether I can do this or not it is very very complicated for this old brain
Hi Mary! Just think of it like a Solid Double Crochet Granny Square, with some little loops added in (in the same place, every row). If you're new to the Jacob's Ladder stitch, we included our scarf tutorial link in the description box. You might want to give the first few rows of that a try to get use to the loops 😊
This is really a beautiful pattern - I've never seen the Jacob's Ladder Granny Square before. Lovely and makes sense. Thanks for the thorough video! Now, where's my yarn?!
Thank you so much for watching Gayle!
nice pattern this granny bit confusing i have watch video couple times love the colors
Hi Eleanor! It's a bit of a challenge, for sure, but the results are so pretty!
Wow it may take me to next March to get this one. For the side do i slip stich into the chain of the chain 10 or into the double crochet.
Hi! When you finish the chain 10 loop, you slip stitch back into the top of the dc stitch that you left from. You might find this deep dive live stream we did on this square helpful: ua-cam.com/users/live4gW3f_6N0GE?feature=share
Hi Jayda! I am a young crocheter who is going to be setting up a little booth at a crafters sale this spring, and I was wondering if I can sell things that I make with your UA-cam tutorial patterns? I would credit you for the patterns, of course! Please let me know! :)
Hi! You are welcome to sell items you make using our patterns and tutorials, we just ask that you include our Name and links to our UA-cam Channel, website and Etsy shop for the design credit. Have fun!
@@JaydaInStitches Thank you so much! 💕
Did anybody else find it confusing that the Stitch count on one side of the loop is not the same as on the other side of the loop that was confusing to me
Hi Mary! Yes, the loops sits on top of the middle stitch of the side, but we have to make that stitch before we put the loop on top. If you make it again, you might find it helpful to also mark the middle stitch of each side with a stitch marker and think of that stitch as something "other". That's the stitch that gets the loop. Then you'll see there are an equal number of stitches on either side of it. I hope that helps 😊
Hi can you make a video of the collar you're wearing.
Hi! We did one back in 2017 here: ua-cam.com/video/57h1xf13Pns/v-deo.html Thank you for watching 😊
This is lovely but I believe it has got me confused not sure I can do it
Hi Mary! Just think of it like a solid double crochet granny square. You're just adding in these loops and they're always added in at the same spot (middle of each side and the corners). If you want to practice Jacob's Ladder, we've linked our scarf tutorial down below. You might find that really helpful 💗
There are some that would like to see the pattern talked completely through.
Hi! The pattern is pretty much established by the end of row 3 and it's on repeat for the rest of the square. Its essentially a solid double crochet granny square (this one here: ua-cam.com/video/dJ7bGt6-9jg/v-deo.html ) with loops added in at the corners and halfway through each side. You might also find it helpful to mark the stitch in the middle of each side that gets the loop built on it. You can add the stitch marker to the fronts of these 4 stitches, that way you know where to add the loop. If you get lost, just pause and count the stitches 💗 If you have a specific question, please feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer 😊
Thanks for addressing joining methods but still feel “ lost “ about join as you go on this project when sides on each square are different. Will have to put a lot of thought and research on how to accomplish this! Does purchasing a pattern help with this?
Hi Louann! If you want to use a JAYG method, the easiest way by far will be to complete the squares as is according to the pattern. Then, add a finishing row of the granny shell stitch to each square, using the JAYG method along with it. You would want to use (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 1) in each corner space, and *skip 2 sts, (3 dc, ch 1) in the next st* across each side. If you're making for grannies 6 rows of the pattern like me, then your 7th row would be (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 1) in each corner and you'd have (3 dc, ch 1) 7 times along each side.
Thank you so much for kindly sharing such detailed instruction for this ! I greatly appreciate it, and will indeed tackle it now!
This looks awesome but very complicated. I’m still going to give it a try💜
Once you get into the rhythm of it, it's not too tricky at all! BUT, if you want to see it made stitch by stitch, we did a deep dive on this square here: ua-cam.com/users/live4gW3f_6N0GE?feature=share
Thanks so much Jayda💜
How big would you say the granny square would be
Hi! All the squares in this year's blanket (made using the same yarn/hook I use in the video) all work out to roughly 8". Different patterns will shape a little differently but with blocking and joining they will all be the same size.
First exciting granny for me!!!
Except for the four holes near the beginning circle, this looks close and lovely!
OMG this is way harder than it looks. I think my yarn is a tad too thin for this making my stitches flip and flop all over themselves.
Hi Katherine! Just think of it as a solid double crochet granny square. That's what it is at it's core, and we're adding a loop in each corner and on top of the middle stitch of each side. The loops, when braided, act as spines so they might add a little floppiness to the look of your square, but that will even out when it's attached 💗
@@JaydaInStitches I'm glad the floppiness was pointed out otherwise I might have frogged it thinking I did something wrong. I think I have 3 rows done and I'm getting the hang of it. Gonna go watch the live and get more tips :) Thanks for your reply :)
Helps to go through video once and then try to crochet the pattern
Hi Deb, I totally agree! I always read a recipe before I start cooking, I tend to treat crochet and knitting the same way 😊
I finally got it! I'm ready to move on. LOL
Woohoo! Granny Square #4 coming this Friday 😊
Wow awesome granny square i love it ❤
Thank you for watching 😊
Amo trabalhar com square❤
My question is: Does Jayda only respond yo questions if your a member? I have been doing a different tutorial and can't get a response and don't see contact info unless your a member. ☮️🌍🌲
Hi! We answer every question we can in the comments 😊 If you have a question and you didn't hear it answered in the tutorial or don't see it answered here in the comments, feel free to ask!
P.S. the only other tutorial I can find where you asked a question was the Lady's Fan Stitch and I answered you there (same day you asked, it looks like). You might not have gotten a notification of a response if you don't have that particular setting turned on. But even if you do, notifications often don't work 😂
I do apologize. Feeling a bit frustrated. 🌷
as someone who loves cables and stuff I love Jacob's ladder!
It's such a cool way to give fabric BIG texture!
I got the first row
Some don’t have the money to buy. They have trouble comprehending. That’s why they watch.
Are we going to add another row to the other squares
Hi Annette, no, we're not, but if you wanted to you can, it won't affect the border 😁
I've been crocheting since 2015.
This one was a little difficult! Not easy!
I finally figured it out, but I'm not going to stress over making 3 of them.
I just made solid granny squares.
I think it would have helped if Jayda didn't leave us on our own so soon.
Hi Vicki! The solid double crochet granny square is the basis for this square, it might help to think of it like that. The loops are added in the corners and on the middle stitch of each side. I'm glad you hear you got it!
Okay, I ADORE the jacobs ladder stitch. All of my nieces blankets are made with it. However! I really wish I'd known about this pattern sooner! Cause' I coulda used it on my nephews blankets. That way all the cousins could have had more similar blankies. Ah well, thank you for the pattern Teacher Jayda! I will definitely be using it in the future!
TIP: If you feel the braids are too loose. Twist them. When your pulling loop 2 through 1. Twist loop 2 first, and then pull through loop 1. I personally do this, cause it makes the braid feel sturdier to me.
Great tip! Thank you for sharing and watching 💗
This month's pattern is one that goes much slower than the previous ones, but there's always one or two every year that take more time.
I didn't need any stitch markers as this square gets really square after round two and it's clear since the second round where are the corners. I had a bit of problems with finding the tops of stitches during the few rounds of the first square (I'm making four squares for each pattern), but then it was so easy to crochet without even looking at the video.
Jayda, I really appreciate that you told us how many stitches are per side in every round. That was the most helpful hint to keep everything in order.
A bit of advice: start braiding loops after the second round. It really helped me to see everything much better.
Hi Jane! Thank you so much 😊 and yes! Braiding up the loops as you go will definitely help keep them all more under control!
This was a bit mind boggling but...3rd attempt and finished it just now. I couldn't cope with the loose loops dangling, so i braided as I went along, stitch marking the corners.
Thank you Jayda 😊
that works too! Awesome 😁
First of all i love and always enjoy so much the patterns❤
Though i got to say This pattern was just a little all over the place for mij taste 😂 Respect for jayda and mr and all other crochet friends they totally did made it ❤!!! ;;;;;;;;many hours later I got it!!!!! 🎉😅 keep trying and notebook ❣️
Hi Peggy! That's awesome!!
I made 4 squares using burgundy, dark blue, emerald green, turquoise and aqua. My first one took so much concentration. By the 4th one it was so easy. Such a beautiful pattern. Can't wait for April! Thanks.
Wonderful! Great colours 😁 Thank you for watching!
From reading the top comments, I was a little intimidated by this pattern, but after getting into it, it was pretty easy. Once I got past the first row or 2, the pattern is easy to pick up. The finished product is definitely worth it.
Hi Dani! I'm so happy to hear that 😊 Thank you for watching!
Hi Jayda! This is my first time with Jacob's Ladder. Very, very cool. It always looked scary,, lol. Now I know how it's done so maybe one day I'll make a blanket that I've seen others have made. Thank you for clear tutorial 😊. My four squares are done❤
Definitely! It's a cool pattern any way you use it 😊
A big thank you Jayda, I love Jacobs stitch it’s so texturally eye engaging delicious. ❤❤ happy crochet Friday ❤❤
I agree completely Kim!
The stitch markers that Jayda is using are called fabric clips.
I love 😍 the Jacob's Ladder granny square ⛶. It's beautiful and dimensional. If I was a blind person I could "see it"😊. I love dimensional fiber art work 😊.
I love it too! All that BIG texture 😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
What an amazing square! I found it to be easy. Once you do the first two rows, it is easy to see where everything goes and how the pattern falls. Nice job, Jayda! You did great with this one and teaching it! 😊❤
Thank you so much!
🎉 I did it! I made my Jacobs ladder, only because I have the best teacher. Thank you Jayda you not only teach very well. You also do it well. I wish I could show you how your hard work pays off for me. Thank you.
I'm so happy to hear you got it! This is such a pretty square to master 😊 Thank you so much for watching!
Also first time here to make a little complicated stitches because of many loops but the outcome is nice..thanks Jayda..its wonderful ..enjoy so much.
We're so happy to hear that! Thank you for watching 😊
Wow
Ooh...I love this! I did my first Jacob's ladder square in another crochet along last year. It was so much fun.
That is awesome!
thank you
Thank you for watching!
I have done many granny squares, but never one like this. I am looking forward to tackling this one. I always follow along at least one or twice before I actually start to see if I can do the stitch. So blessing to all that are going to want to try this stitch. Give it a chance you can do it. ❤
Wonderful! Thank you for watching! If you want or need a little extra help, we now have an in-depth CAL on this square here: ua-cam.com/users/live4gW3f_6N0GE?feature=share 😊
Wow! Very cool looking. I’m going to have to think about this one, might be over my head
Hi Brenda! Be sure to check our our live workshop (pinned in the comment above) we build one nice and slowly while answering questions.
Wow!! it's amazing! Thank you!! Are you feeling ok? You sound low energy and down. Are you getting over being sick?
Hi Maria! That's probably just the tail end of February you're hearing in my voice 😂 We get like 6 months of winter here and I am DONE with it!!
This is a TOUGH one!! I'm not giving up just yet!! I appreciate your tutorials. The explanations of the actual location of the stitches is nice to hear. Great teaching!
Hi Bevy! Keep at it, it's worth the payoff 😁 We have a stitch by stitch live version of this that you might find helpful too, here: ua-cam.com/users/live4gW3f_6N0GE?feature=share
I’ve finally made it on to
round four. I’m on my way now.
🎉😊
You got it Cheryl!! 💗
Onto the top of the double crochet slip stich i was not doing it right
Good morning 🌄 blessings 🌻 ☕, awesome 👍🏾 and beautiful 😍
Thank you Skettikka! 💗
Looks like fun. Can’t wait to play with the colors I have.
Thank you for watching Diana 😊
I had a terrible time with this square and just about gave up on it. However I really liked it because I like Jacobs Ladder pattern so I made myself try it one last time. I took it slow and easy and all of a sudden it clicked and I sailed right through it
Thank you so much, I love your squares
That's awesome Darlene! Don't you love how it feels when the lightbulb goes off? It's like * punches the air * YES!!!!😁
Are we going to have to add another row to the other squares
Wow!! This one is so beautiful ❤ Thank you Jayda!
Hi Nelly! Thank you for watching 😊
Thanks for answering my thoughts about making it bigger
Glad we covered that 😁
I wonder if I can make a Kleenex box with this design, with a slightly bigger hole on top?
Oh wow! That would be pretty.... I would say yes. You just have to start with the opening (like a large chained ring) and probably more shells per side?
Loving all the squares, thank-you.
HI Barbara! Thank you for watching 😊
Years ago I made a round pillow in Jacobs ladder stitch and now I can't remember how to do it do you have a pattern for it that you can share with me thank you
Hi! We don't have a pattern for that, but thank you for the suggestion!
What is the stitch count in the last row ?
Hi! Row 6 will have 23 stitches across each side or 92 in total.
@@JaydaInStitches thank you ! My first square isn’t laying flat ! But I’m trying again !
Jayda this is fabulous I'll definitely will try it 🥳💕
HI Jan! Thank you for watching 😊
What a fun look for a granny square! Thank you, Jayda :)
Hi! Thank you so much for watching 😊
Good morning! So excited!
Good Morning Amanda!
Jayda, what do you think about a true bright, soft red, royal blue, white, and other firework bright colors (hot pink, greens, gold, silver, blue, etc) I think that would be so beautiful, not only festive for July with fireworks, but it would be so happy. If that makes sense to anyone. I'd use it as a throw all year around except Christmas time because I have too much other stuff to put out.
If the colours make you happy, they're the right colours, I live by that! I'm using white, yellow and blue this year to match my bedroom 😊
@JaydaInStitches oh, that will be really pretty too, I like yellow my daughter's do not. I love pastels, so depending what I'm trying to conquer I've used a soft creamy like butter yellow to a little brighter but I'm not into it when it's more gold unless someone is making sunflowers.
Love it
Thank you for watching 😊
