The thing that people confuse is they like to talk about how he has all of this talent around him. None of these guys were particularly high draft picks. Hell, Mahomes had other QBs drafted ahead of him. There were what, 17 WR drafted before Tyreek Hill. It's not like they are stacked with Top 5 picks. What no one talks about is the work ethic. Tyreek Hill, Kelce, Watkins work really hard at their craft. There have been guys with this speed in the league before. Watkins didn't put up these numbers before Mahomes. Tyreek looked like De'Anthony Thomas but unlike DAT he learned how to run routes and be a complete WR instead of just a burner. Kelce worked himself into being the best TE in the league. You have to look at how badly these guys collectively want to be great as a group and individually. Watkins talked about how he lost weight, and was pulling out all stops this season. You cannot make someone want it that bad. When they do, they win Super Bowls.
Not shitting on Mahomes, he's probably top 3 quarterback in the league at this point, but I would still put him behind Russel Wilson. Don't forget Russel Wilson doesn't have much in the run game, he has a poor offensive line, sub-par receiving talent and a defense with just Jadeveon Clowney around it. And he still almost beat the 49ers twice. Pretty much by himself. That's a tall order for a quarterback to go and beat a defense like that with no run game and a shit offensive line. No, I'm not a Seahawks fan. The main reason though is because we have more sample size out of Wilson to determine he's able to play at that level through multiple seasons. We need to see more from Mahomes, imo, before we put him as QB #1.

Sammy Watkins was a VERY good wide receiver before Mahomes. His issue was staying healthy. Kekce is elite. Tyreek is good but Mahomes makes him great. It's hard to say they don't have a lot of talent around him. The thing is though when Hill went down, we seen Hardman and Robinson turn into stars. That's what turned me into a believer of this guy. When Mahomes can work with anything the coach puts around him and still dominate, you're something special.

And his love of God he is truly a class act and hope he become to greatest of all time!!!! Love to see him play in 10 Super Bowls even if beating my Cowboys I’d be happy for him!! Simply amazing. Something that impresses me is that he's a respectful guy. Always saying sir and ma'am. It may seem old fashioned but his father would have known what being a respectful person would do for him if he ever made it this far. I didn't get too excited when he started paying. I didn't want to be disappointed. But every game he does something that is amazing. The jump pass, the run on Houston, the left handed throw. All amazing plays that could only come from a guy who is super competitive. He reminds me of another guy who was super competitive and the best at his sport.

I heard a story recently that highlights what’s special about KC quarterback. A few weeks back, PatrickMahomes and his girlfriend brittanylynne were having dinner at a pizza place near their home in KC. Obviously everyone recognized them, but nobody interrupted them at all, allowing them to enjoy a peaceful meal. They paid their bill and started to head out the door, and still nobody is jumping up to ask for a selfie or an autograph or anything. Pat stops at the door, turns back, and everyone looks up. He says to the entire restaurant, “Thanks for letting us enjoy our dinner. This is why I LOVE Kansas City. Looking at these highlights you would think he's been playing a lot longer than only 3 seasons which one of those seasons he only played in a few games behind Alex Smith, then his second season wins MVP and Superbowl MVP in his 3rd. We’ve been waiting our whole lives here in Kansas City to get a franchise quarterback drafted. Ever since Todd Blackledge the organization gave up on drafting a franchise QB. I have to admit, if waiting this long to get Pat who could possibly be the best QB to ever play the game it was worth the wait.
He doesn't have very good straight line speed, but his 20 yard shuttle and 3-cone drill at the Combine were slightly faster than Russell Wilson. In other words, he has elite quickness in short bursts for a QB.
I can almost guarantee he DIDN’T pray for a win. I would say it was more thanking GOD for the OPPORTUNITY to play in the SB and to ASK that no one is seriously hurt.

As much as I enjoyed watching Lamar Jackson (and he deserved MVP) play this past season, observing Mahomes in his second season as a starter is such a joy. He has natural talent, a desire to learn more, playfulness and locker room spirit. I'm a Bears fan, and we knew KC would blow us out; but that counting off to ten after that run in touchdown was funny. He deserved Alex Smith as a mentor and Andy Reid as a Head Coach. Patrick Mahomes is truly special.

The Texans lost, crossed the river into Missouri and became the Chiefs. My name is Dallas, and my father told my six year old self that the teams were playing to see which one would be named for me. It was the most excited I ever got watching a football game. Over the years, I lost my enthusiasm for America's team and game, until I began to watch this phenomenal young man defy both physics and gravity. Now, I wish that the Texans had won all those years ago, so that he played on the team that shares my name. He has already done for Football what Michael Jordan did for basketball. I love the game again, and city or not, the Chiefs are quickly becoming my favorite team to watch. I've watched football for over 50 years now, and you can take this to the bank. A few QBs have been able to make "all the throws" but Mahomes can make all the throws plus some throws that never existed before. He's different.

I heard a story recently that highlights what’s special about KC quarterback.
A few weeks back, PatrickMahomes and his girlfriend brittanylynne were having dinner at a pizza place near their home in KC.
Obviously everyone recognized them, but nobody interrupted them at all, allowing them to enjoy a peaceful meal. They paid their bill and started to head out the door, and still nobody is jumping up to ask for a selfie or an autograph or anything.

He has great football speed, possibly among the top 3 greatest I have ever seen for a QB.
He doesn't have very good straight line speed, but his 20 yard shuttle and 3-cone drill at the Combine were slightly faster than Russell Wilson. In other words, he has elite quickness in short bursts for a QB.
What amazes me is this guy has not lost us a game by more than a touchdown since he’s started for us.

I’m 32 and have been watching the NFL closely for 22 years and I can say he’s the most talented QB I’ve ever seen.
As much as I enjoyed watching Lamar Jackson (and he deserved MVP) play this past season, observing Mahomes in his second season as a starter is such a joy. He has natural talent, a desire to learn more, playfulness and locker room spirit.
I'm a Bears fan, and we knew KC would blow us out; but that counting off to ten after that run in touchdown was funny.

Now, I wish that the Texans had won all those years ago, so that he played on the team that shares my name. He has already done for Football what Michael Jordan did for basketball. I love the game again, and city or not, the Chiefs are quickly becoming my favorite team to watch. I've watched football for over 50 years now, and you can take this to the bank.
