- Patrick Mahomes has already shown to be one of the most talented NFL players of all time. In this video, players, coaches, and analysts from all around sports give their take on the rising superstar quarterback in interviews. Mahomes in just 2 seasons as starter, has locked down an MVP, Super Bowl, and a Super Bowl MVP. No look throws, left handed throws, and 60 yard heaves are all apart of Patrick's game. Soon, everybody won't be inspired by Tom Brady, they will be inspired to be Patrick Mahomes.

It’s super hard to compare Tom Brady to anyone but I feel like Brady is like Tim Duncan in not having the athleticism that would otherwise be deemed as necessary to be a top tier NFL player but is so fundamentally sound with their competitive and leadership skills adding everything up to being so consistently good and unstoppable but I think it’s safe to say that Mahomes has the most perfect overall package of skills and abilities for the QB position as he had the arm, the technique, athleticism, IQ, etc. but what sets him apart is his feel for the game being beyond levels above other QBs which is where I get stuck as Brady has such an unstoppable ability to never be out of the game as long as there is time on the clock as we just saw against the Rams but Patrick Mahomes has some godly ability to always seems to do the right thing at the right time but the plays he is able to achieve are those that most other great QBs wouldn’t even attempt because of the likelihood of it benefiting the team is so low and high risk they wouldn’t even think about making the play while Mahomes does it as if the incredibly abnormal play he just made is absolutely normal to him and never secuondy guessed his ability to make the play. I wish we got the Bucs Chiefs rematch with Mahomes having his O line which he didn’t have last super bowl which clearly affected his ability to play as he normally does as well as having the toe injury.

I remember growing up during a time where the most sought after thing for a QB was a strong arm but Brady changed it into being fundamentally sound and consistency to the point that is damn near impossible to be as consistent as Brady but Mahomes is en route to smashing that trend to now making the QB position wanting Mahomes type shit which is a rocket for an arm, dual threat ability, Tom Brady level consistency, and the ability to make a play out of Jack shit at any means necessary while still maintaining the consistency while making high risk type throws look like their easy. Andy Reid is definitely better than Mike McCarthy when it comes to scheme and it's crazy his Offense was advancing in 2017 and it came a long way since then due to him taking mastering College schemes in his playbook.

You also need a great QB tho.

I really think it's a lazy take to say that it's because of the weapons. I recall Robinson looking great for a few games (no one knew who he was), Byron Pringle looked like a stud at times (again, who?!), And let's not forget that Sammy Watkins was looking like a first round journeyman before Mahomes got a hold of him. Tyreek was out for several games, and Damien Williams is looking like a household name. How about we use some context rather than just assuming that he only looks good because of those around him. It works both ways, and the focal point is a future all time QB that isn't even 25 years old yet. Just enjoy it the same way we have enjoyed the greats of the previous generations.
When Mahomes played against Denver his rookie season. The Chiefs sat the 1st team offense. No Travis Kelce, Demetrius Harris had 3 receptions for 73 yards.
No Tyreek Hill, Albert Wilson had 10 receptions for 147 yards. Anthony Sherman played RB that game 14 carries for 40 yards, in his 9 year career, Sherman has 25 carries TOTAL, 14 were in that one game. The second team offensive line played, with the exception of Schwartz who had some kind of streak going. It's not the guys around him that raise Mahomes level of play, its the other way around.

I will admit that Patrick Mahomes had an easier route through the playoffs. Tennessee and Houston were 10&6 and 9&7. The difference is hes a third down quarterback that thrives under pressure while redefining the position. He not a pocket guy. Hes not a scrambler that doesn't read development on the field. The biggest criticism I would give Mahomes is he creates too much. He never gives up on a play. When perfectionists mess up they are completely out of zone.
