Wants to keep playing, dislocated knee cap? Tried to go back out same game. When it's over, he might go down as not just the greatest football of all time but greatest atlethe of all time.
Mahomes will go down as an all time great that's for sure, but y'all gotta understand that he isn't the first to accomplish what he has accomplished this early in his career.
@Valkorion2000 the records show something different. Most wins through 75 games, most passing yards through 75 games, most passing tds through 75 games, highest passing through 75 games, most passing yards first 11 games That is literally just a few. So he has done something nobody else has done
One of the biggest play missed which I think is top 5 is the last pass he ever threw to Hill in the 2022 AFC championship game against the Bengals. It bounced off Hill's chest and into the defenders hands, and Mahomes hasn't risked those throws since. In the second 9ers Superbowl, he ran for a first instead of passing because of that play. He learned he can do everything perfect, and it still be the wrong decision. He needs to be better than perfect. It's such an impactful play on the Mahomes legend.
I was fortunate to watch him when he was at Texas Tech. Since I live in Lubbock. Everybody here knew he was special. And now he is showing the world. I hope he does it for a long time.
Thanks for putting these moments in context. I enjoyed seeing them again with all the commentary around them included. I think the Grim Reaper moment (13 Seconds) has to be included as an iconic moment, but it's so hard to cut it down to just 10 plays.
As a Chiefs fan who was skeptical of anything after a lifetime of disappointment, that first clip of the TD to Conley was when I got on the edge of my seat and thought he might be the real deal.
I’ve been following the Chiefs 30 plus years. Blessed to have this young man. The first one, against the 49ers, how off balance he is? The ZIP and placement on the ball. After he avoided ridiculous pressure. You see it all on this play.
The first drive after the Colts blocked the punt in his first playoff game deserves a spot on this list. For the 25 years before Mahomes, every Chiefs team loses that game because of that one moment. The Chiefs never had the QB who could take back the momentum after a big play like that. But Mahomes comes out and completes the first pass of the next drive for 31 yards, and caps it off by running it in himself. That was the moment when I knew our playoff curses were a thing of the past.
This is truly a blessing to watch Patrick Mahomes play football 🏈 ❤ He’s gonna go down as one of the greatest to ever do it! Multiple MVPs Multiple Sb MVPs Multiple Sb wins all by the age of 28 🤯 The next 12 to 15 years are gonna be a fairytale 🎉
I use Mitch Holthus’ description of the one “Super Bowl 57 when he ran down the field in pain with the ball in his left hand and a sword in his right.“
It had to be hard to pick just 10. Mahomes has already accomplished more in six years than most other athletes do in their entire careers. BTW, I was at game #3, but we were delayed getting into town so the Chiefs had already scored multiple TDs by the time we got to our seats.
That's the whole thing. Top 10 Brady reel involves scheme and combination of Gronk or Randy Moss. Its so predictable kind of like when Shaq had Kobe you just knew it was gonna be a bucket with that entourage. Rest of his playoff wins were due to game management and all-world defense [literally won the Seawhawks SB with a defensive play]
Nope. I think Tom is currently the GOAT due to his consistent greatness in big moments, accomplishments, longevity, etc. But he doesn’t have a highlight reel that is even close to Pat’s lol Pat is coming for him too
@GWS1010 I mean he has the most championship rings that's ONE thing. They are both incredibly clutch and amazingly cool and calm in the most-heated moments guiding their teams to MULTIPLE championships. Now when you break down what they did to the position of Quarterback to raise the playing envelope and change the game...there's really only one player that did/does that every season and it's Patrick Mahomes especially compared to Tom Brady. So in a sense...the greatest of all time would be PMII but he will always have that super bowl head to head and playoff record vs Brady thrown at him. Again--pound for pound Mahomes is generally regarded as the greatest talent the field as ever seen. And he's still got 10 more years to go.
Nice mix of highlight plays and career milestones. Some great moments were missing, but with Mahomes there are just too many to fit into limited space….
4th and 9 throw against the ravens to tyreek hill. His no look pass against the ravens. His shovel pass to McKinnon against the broncos. 13 second game, and there are so many more hell you could probably do another top 10 of different plays by him
I'd like to comment the crowd in the very 1st clip. Mahomes was not anywhere close to being a bandwagon fandom at that time. Yet, the entire crowd is all RED. You know why? Because Chiefs Kingdom has been RIDE OR DIE since the 90's. I will also admit that on this particular play that I watched the future franchise throw this play, I said out loud "holy SH!T!! We got our guy!" and the rest is history. Any other QB in Chiefs history would NOT make that play. I knew watching that play, we got our guy. So happy I was right.
I figured the Super Bowl games were all going to be there. But the moments that I remember are the 50 TD 5000 yard season, that moment he did it, and then the game earlier against Denver. Why because it was a road game, Mahomes was struggling but he and the Chiefs kept coming. That’s when I knew he was a beast.
I'm glad you included the pass from SB LVI, which I think is the greatest throw I've ever seen a QB make. Too bad even Williams couldn't believe he could throw that accurate ... parallel to the ground ...
Omg, great video! It really defines the key moments in Magic Mahomes career (except for the 13 sec play). Congrats for the genius that made this video. And by the way, I love the 49ers! 😅
I've NEVER felt so "low" watching any my 3 favorite KC area sports teams(Chiefs, Royals & Jayhawks.) Than when Patrick's ankle got bent vs Jacksonville Jags in Playoffs. 7-7 score.
That play against the 49ers his first year was the one where I knew. After the previous year's playoff collapse, another in a long, painful string, I told my family I was done after 40 years of being a diehard fan. I said, "Chiefs are like a bad girlfriend who keeps cheating on you, then luring you back." It was to much. I refused to watch the first two games of the '18 season. My family started yelling for me in the 3rd game. Insisted I see something. I relectantly walked in to see a replay of this very play. All I could think was "My gosh, that's one of the greatest plays I've ever seen." I stayed and watched and have not stopped since. My two game strike against the Chiefs was over. All the pain, the tragic death of Joe Delaney, the drafting of Blackledge rather than Marino, the agony of the close-but-never-enough Schottenheimer era, the playoff FG meltdown of the kicker whose name must never be mentioned, the 1-9 playoff run, went away because of possibly the greatest QB who ever lived.
Ok, but can we see a compilation of shocked and disappointed coach’s faces in response to his mad skills? And where is the 13 seconds??? That should definitely make top 10. Perhaps #1. 🩵
7 Seasons as a starter. 15 wins - 3 losses in the playoffs. A passer rating of 105.8 with 5,135 yards, 41 touchdowns and 8 interceptions in 18 games in the playoffs in his career. That's unbelievable. An MVP season in itself against the the NFL's very, very best.
He makes a lot of plays that nobody else can make, and you've documented many of them here and they are legitimately special. However, what makes him even more special is pairing it with his mental processing and his consistency at making the routine plays. All the plays that you don't see here, his efficiency at diagnosing a defense and making the correct throw to the right spot over and over and over again, in the toughest spots, against the toughest competition, all the way to the championship.
his 1st season as a starter is arguably the greatest season of all time. 5k yards and 50-12 TD-INT ratio. 12-4 record, AFC West champions and was a Dee Ford penalty from a super bowl appearance. that was all accomplished w that Chiefs D being the 8th worst defensive unit in NFL history
Absouletely to do that is nothing short of amazing! All Dee Ford had to do was line up right and Mahomes could have 5 rings going for 6. That’s how close the Chiefs are to going 6 for 6 in Super Bowls.
Really well done - kept the context in, which was a nice change from most highlights. Of course everyone is going to find something they think was missed. (Mine would be 4th and 9 v. Ravens to Hill .)
For me it was the shoot out at that MNF game with the Rams and Jared Goff. I couldn’t believe that game. It was exhausting. That is when I knew he was special.

The man is already a legend and he does so much for KC sports he knows he is a god to all of us, he made us believe.
That first clip they showed against the 49ers was the first time I realized just how special Mahomes was. Not only evading the sack but having the situational awareness not to just scramble for the first down. But to keep his eyes downfield find the open receiver and throw on the run scoring a touchdown. I'm not gonna lie watching him throw that ball live instead of running for the first down I thought he'd made a mistake until I saw Conley in the end zone with the football.
I love the announcer’s exclamation from the first one, in September of 2018, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?” 😅 The football world was about to start realizing what Mahomes is all about.
As they said in the commentary, play #3 was his 50th TD of his 1st starting season. I was so damn happy when he dropped that bomb. Epic is an understatement. Name a better team to get it on than the Raiders?
Week 17 2017 vs Denver was the first stepping stone for Mahomes. More impactful to his career than the first 4-5 clips of this video to be honest because it signaled/reinforced to Reid and the KC front office that he was ready and it was time to move on from Alex Smith.
The Texans game in the playoffs when the Chiefs came back from a 21 point deficit will always be my favorite Mahomes moment. Him and the Chiefs made the Texans look stupid and it was pretty hilarious.
It’s easy for us to see these plays happening from the high viewpoint but how Mahomes can pick these guys out of a crowded chaos at field level is beyond me.
I think that run against Tennessee broke Mike Vrabel. I guess he got fired, a couple years later. I think he was very good for TEN and I hope he gets another HC gig.
I'm stunned the cross-body throw on 4th and 9 against the Ravens (everyone knows which one I'm talking about) wasn't on here! In addition to the physical impossibility of that throw and the game-saving nature of it, that throw and that improbable win are why the team won the division and was the top seed that year *instead* of as the *fifth* seed (yes, if they lose that game, based on the final standings, they finish behind the *also* 12-4 Chargers and are the 5th-seed in the playoffs)!
7:30 If Mahomes could have made this play, it would easily be Mahomes greatest play ever plus I felt like it would have provided the sparkplug that Chiefs team need to pull of a comeback. That play literally is a make or break play for the Chiefs.
@@jasonpeters9865The Chiefs intercepting the ball probably would have been prevented if Lamar did this as opposed to throwing to a man with triple coverage.

that first play was when i said “oh shit… he’s up next.” i know he threw 10 touchdowns in 2 weeks (6 the week before in pittsburgh), but i thought those were just two shitty defenses, and i thought it was gonna be a little linsanity run. then i see that throw to conley… yeah that’s when i was all in. that’s when i knew he was gonna be the new goat.

PRAISE JESUS!!Best is yet to come in Jesus name!✝️🙌🙌 Amen
It’s like when the ball is snapped he knows where every player is located on the field for him🌟
I remember being fired up when we drafted Told Blackledge, so many after close but NOW we have THE MAN ❗️❗️❗️
It’s easy for us to see these plays happening from the high viewpoint but how Mahomes can pick these guys out of a crowded chaos at field level is beyond me.
I’ll never forget that TD. That was I’ve arrived and I’m here to show out moment.
I think that run against Tennessee broke Mike Vrabel. I guess he got fired, a couple years later. I think he was very good for TEN and I hope he gets another HC gig.
Mahomes is breaking lots of teams and people lol! The grim reaper strikes again! Just ask the Bills and 49ers haha!
That game winning pass Mahomes threw in the most recent super bowl nearly gave me a damn heart attack I swear.
love the confusion on Salahs face at the beginning just been what mahomes has done since he started playing
This kid is amazing 👏🏼
The best to ever do it, period.
He is from out of this world!!!!
Patrick Mahomes: a baseball player playing QB! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
🐐 if he chooses to retire today
I'm stunned the cross-body throw on 4th and 9 against the Ravens (everyone knows which one I'm talking about) wasn't on here! In addition to the physical impossibility of that throw and the game-saving nature of it, that throw and that improbable win are why the team won the division and was the top seed that year *instead* of as the *fifth* seed (yes, if they lose that game, based on the final standings, they finish behind the *also* 12-4 Chargers and are the 5th-seed in the playoffs)!
It’s amazing how we all don’t talk about the Tampa SB and I’m ok with that!
My favorite is when they cut to the opposing coaches and you can just tell they’re thinking, “What am I supposed to do against that?”
I remember watching that run against the titans and thinking, damn what can’t this guy do??? I always forget he can run too
Mr. Magic!!
He’s a tough bird🌟👍🏻
7:30 If Mahomes could have made this play, it would easily be Mahomes greatest play ever plus I felt like it would have provided the sparkplug that Chiefs team need to pull of a comeback. That play literally is a make or break play for the Chiefs.
Mahomes prepares harder, studies smarter and plays harder - does it every day, every game.
Wanna know what makes Mahomes so special?
The FACT he is not afraid to just TAKE OFF running on ANY broken pass play.
^^^God help us if QB Lamar ever figures this out himself in Playoffs.
@@jasonpeters9865The Chiefs intercepting the ball probably would have been prevented if Lamar did this as opposed to throwing to a man with triple coverage.
Going face to face with Max Crosby and telling him "I'll be here all day"
The CHIIIEEEFFFS are lucky to have him, and saying that just because I live in KC.😆
Mr. Grumpy at the end, LOL
Big Red: " Im taking you out."
Mahomes: "Wha? No...fuck no!"
My favorite moment from 2022
pretty good list. hard to pick just 10.
Seeing Sneed 😢😢😢 loved him so much but I know can’t keep em all. I’m sure it’ll be like Kareem Hunt and Tyrese Hill, after time without him it won’t feel so bad.
The jump pass against the titans is the play
Us CHIEFS fans are so blessed to have a player like Patrick Mahomes
As a Raiders fan I was disappointed that Jacob's left for greenbay. Great player but I feel he is more about himself then the team. It's OK next man up, Let's go Zeus! RN4L!
Miss you chad henne!
that first play was when i said “oh shit… he’s up next.” i know he threw 10 touchdowns in 2 weeks (6 the week before in pittsburgh), but i thought those were just two shitty defenses, and i thought it was gonna be a little linsanity run. then i see that throw to conley… yeah that’s when i was all in. that’s when i knew he was gonna be the new goat.
I just wanna know, why does the ref go in backwards with DeMarcus?
Goat
Remember: Hennething is possible
Where did demarcus go to
GOAT
This highlights make Brady and Manning look so stiff. Mahomes is still chasing, but man... he's one of one.
Bro winning a superbowl with 1 leg is crazy
