      Wow!
      I got my 4 year old Truman dog from the pound.
      His previous person had died. Whoever was his charge after must've put him outdoors, as he had 23 tics in his neck area.
      Truman had timed out after 30 days. The shelter staff said he had a bad attitude and was lame. He was on last day, due to be euthanized that afternoon.
      That was 7 years ago on the 7th. Of May (day after tomorrow).
      He would not eat. He did not play. I had to carry him on walks. Took a bit for him to walk about. About 6 months for him to play.
      I love him soooooo much ❤.
      7 years later and he still gets cranky. Hates to cuddle. Does not give kisses. However, some nights I wake up to find him sleeping above my head.
      We both were treated as disposable in our lives. My father left me as an infant, mom resented my presence. I understand how Truman might have felt. Perhaps a common bond.
      Bobby looks amazingly like my Truman. My best friend.
      We are both in our senior years. I fear I will die before him. I fear he will die before me.
      I love you Truman. I'm pretty sure he loves me too ❤.
      Life is better with a dog, crankiness and all. He makes me smile 24 hours a day. 365 days a year.
      ❤❤❤

      It seems both of you won the lottery of a good life after meeting one another. No one else is more suited for each other's companionship and simple daily presence. Most people expect so much in return (without even realizing it) for providing basic needs for their canines. As in obedience, friendliness, agreeable disposition, etc. To truly accept a living thing wholeheartedly without even the slightest wish for it to be or behave somehow differently than it naturally is love exemplified. Such a rare, uncommon occurrence. A step closer to zen.

    That is one of the saddest and heartwarming videos and stories I’ve ever heard about that Dog was so loyal to his owner. He stayed there for 14 years. I’m glad the people of the graveyard eventually just adopted him and got him a shelter and fed him every day until he passed. Animals have feelings too, and when they lose their person it is very hard for them.

    Our family Shih Tzu witnessed my mom die suddenly (as did I), and while she allowed me to perform CPR, she climbed onto my mom's chest and tried to attack the EMTs. She followed them as they removed my mother's body until she could go no further due to fencing. She followed this route and sat at the gate looking towards where the ambulance left for years until she had to be put down a few months ago. I love you, Joy. RIP

    • @kbrock9146
      @kbrock9146 7 місяців тому

      @@mm-b8012 thank you so much for taking the time to write this moving and meaningful reply on here. While our mom's death was very sudden, I saw Joy's health decline and the pain she was in. And for her breed, she was EXTREMELY young to have had to experience this. Their average life span easily exceeds 12+ years, and she wasn't even halfway there when I had to say goodbye earlier this year. The only "positive" that I can think of in this situation is that in the time between Joy's diagnosis and her passing, it gave me time to reach out to my mom's spirit so she could come back for Joy to make sure she wasn't alone when she crossed over. I did my best to be there physically for her, and Joy let me know that she had someone waiting for her to take her home on the other side.
      And I know a lot of people reading this may think it sounds absolutely INSANE, but to everyone that had ever met Joy, they would be the first to tell you that her soul was not that of an animal, but something different. It's actually how she got her name, because when I took my mom to pick up the new pup (who also shared the same month and day of birth as my mom), we had named her something else initially. But several weeks later after both of us seeing the magic this little four or five month old puppy could do.... My mom turned to me one day and said, "What do you think of changing her name?" I agreed and said that what we had named her just didn't fit. And my mom said, "Y'know..... After seeing how happy she makes people, and how she just seems to always know when anyone needs a little TLC.... I'm thinking 'JOY'." And it was like thunder struck, and we both felt so stupid for not naming her that before, because at that moment, it was as if we had discovered what she had been named all along, as opposed to actually naming her.
      I have had dogs in my personal life for over four decades. And professionally, I was a Veterinarian, and I'm currently a dog groomer...... I have seen intelligent dogs, dogs that have had amazing relationships with their owners, dogs that have had working jobs and were phenomenal at them, service dogs that not only provided life saving care but also seemed to have preternatural senses when it came to the human in their charge.... But not once in my entire life or career, not ONCE, have I ever come upon a soul as rich and complex as the one that graced this earth for a few, short years, as Joy. Even my roommate, who knew relatively little about dogs, and Joy herself even less, even he would tell me that just by looking at her eyes, you could tell that she wasn't "just a dog".
      This has been an extremely long comment, that no one other than myself may have ever read... But it is no where near long enough to pay proper tribute to the loving soul that I once had the honor to know, Joy. #RIP

      I'm so sorry for your loss 😢. Back in the 90s, my best friend died 2 days after his 21st birthday. The day of the funeral, we all met at his parents' house, and his dad asked me to go with him. We went jnto a room where the coffin was and under it was his dog, his dad said to me " is there any chance you can get him out from under there as he won't let anyone near him and I know he trusts you. For the past few days he's just laid under there crying," and he was, he was laid under the coffin crying, and when anyone tried to go near the coffin he started growling. So I started talking to him While sitting on the floor while slowly approaching the coffin. For some reason, he let me in, so there we were, me and the dog reassuring each other and sharing our grief, both of us crying. I was just sitting on the floor, and he had his head in my lap. After about ten minutes the undertakers came in and approached the coffin and the dog was not having it he started to warn them with a growl and the closer they got the more angry he got , I told them to back off, one guy told me he was not going to wait around for a dig to let him in, I told him fine but don't blame me if he attacks, oh he soon changed his mind as he charged towards us only to be chased back with snapping teeth, when he backed off he came back and laid beside me again, he looked at them and warned them off if they dared come near, lol. Well, I told them after a minute to just bear with me for a bit. I picked the dogs head up, looked at him, and said, " ok, son , listen, it's time for him to go now, ok ? Now I know your sad, I'm sad too but he can't stay any longer so we have to be very brave and do this together, now I'm going to hold your collar, and I promise to stay with you, and yes, you can growel at those nasty men taking your best friend away, but you can't bite their butt's, and so you don't bite their butt's I'm going to hold your collar. Now come on with me it's time to be a brave boy. " Oh, it broke my heart the look he gave me, and he started to cry whimpering again, but we slowly left the sanctuary of our spot under the coffin. I walked him over to the siide ofvthe room making sure I had him tight, as there was no way in hell I was letting him bite them, his dad watching us laughed when I told him he wasn't allowed to bite their butt's but he could tell them off, the undertaker asked if I was serious and I told , oh yes im very serious, given the chance he will protect him and bite you, he bite me once when we were messing about and he decided I was a threat to his master, so you need to go carefully as he will have you if I let go, so you must go slow. Well, they came towards us. I was still holding him tight and talking to him while he shouted at them. As they walked towards the coffin to carry it out, he broke me as he howld, I'd never heard him howl before and it was such a heartbreaking sound and we were both crying while following him out to the car. After they put him in the car he was pulling me trying to get away and he slipped out his collar, I tried to call him but my friends dad told me to let him go and he ran like hell after that car shouting for them to come back, it was one of the most heartbreaking things I'd ever seen. Everyone just stood crying while watching him run after thr car. When the car was gone, he came back and sat next to me. I put his collar back on, and we all left to go to the church, which was nearby, leaving him locked in the barn as he refused to go in the house. After the funeral service when we came out, there he was waiting for us sat next to the car. He went to the coffin once it was in the car, and he jumped up, putting his paws on it, my friends dad said I knew he would be here and that's why he wouldn't go in the house. One undertaker was getting annoyed, but the other told him to let the dog say goodbye. The other one said he's had days to say it, why now, the other one got angry and told him to get in the car and shut it before he told the dog to bite him lol. The dog after a few minutes just jumped down and walked home with his head and tail down, and when he got home, we could hear him howling. It was totally heartbreaking to witness. Afterward, when we got back to the house, the dog wouldn't leave my side. My friends dad thanked me for helping him out with the dog as he had run out of ideas as he'd tried everything to get him out from under the coffin as the dog only trusted a few people and i was one of them, and since the others failed I was the last hope lol, apparently he hadn't left that spot all week and had refused to eat much only having a tiny amount , they actually thought the dog would follow his master. Thankfully he did start eating with my help, although I had to visit most nights just to feed him, but I got my friends sister to help until she could take over and feed him alone which took about a week. And with that he had a new master to love in his old masters sister. Some people think digs don't get upset when someone dies, but they are very wrong as they can get very upset to the point they actually follow their owner and die soon after, I've seen it many times over the years 😢 I had three dogs mum and two pups, when mum died the girls her daughters had two totally different reactions. We took the girls with us when we took mum to be put to sleep, one the stupid crazy one didn't seen to understand what was going on and when we put mum on the floor so the girls could say their goodbyes, the crazy one was just messing about hntil her sister stuck her paw over her neck and made her lie down, It was so funny to see, one dog been pinned down by the other, the other sister was heartbroken, she was nudging mum and licking her, then she laid down with her head on her mum, still while controlling her crazy sister. The cray one wasn't bothered at all, but her sister was grieving for weeks l, if we dodnt have her sister I think she would have followed. Because of this I hope she goes first out of the two as I think the death of her sister would finish her. They both had their 14th birthday last week so I know we dint have many years left with them, plus their mum died of lymphoma cancer which the vet said they girls also have a 50/50 % chance they will also get it as its a cancer that can be genetic and can be inherited 😕 but we will have to wait and see, their mum was 15 when she died so only time will tel. But until then they will drive me crazy and cause trouble lol

      @Veronica That's great! I wonder how much it varies breed to breed. I've heard before that in some cases, certain dog breeds aren't terribly healthy compared to others due to certain body characteristics (for example, pugs and bulldog have breathing problems, right?). My wife knows this stuff much better than I do...

At least with “The 3 Lives of Thomasina”, the cat lives. But not before dying and tearing your heart out. Millenials all think Disney is so magical. I’m GenX and most of the Disney movies I saw, didn’t have happy endings.

    • @ZBREAD.
      @ZBREAD. 8 місяців тому

      Who said this video was about cats? The only reason cats aren't like this is because they aren't fully domesticated, they have a large amount of instinct inside of them and it would probably take a century or so for them to become this loyal-
      For you to better understand cats, they're like introverts. They have feelings but don't know how to show it. A cat must have 100% trust in you to finally open up like a dog would.

    • @emmanuel_capricorn4033

      @@ZBREAD. Exactly. You just prove my point on how dogs are better. I was arguing with someone who said cats are still better. But he deleted his comment so I commented it again. And this is also for the people who think cats are equals to dogs. I had cats too but dogs are just superior companions no question asked.

    • @ZBREAD.
      @ZBREAD. 8 місяців тому

      @@emmanuel_capricorn4033 personally cats are better, they clean up after themselves, they aren't loud, they just sit with you, they don't need toys, they don't need much care, and they just are emotional support. My cats got me through depression, RIP Masso and Blacky.

      The slight amount of wear from repeated touching effectively sands away the oxidation and any protective coatings. When people see a statue with a shiny spot they are more likely to also touch it. Unfortunately many bronze figures get permanently damaged this way, and you can see on this one that the nose details are much shallower and smoothed over than other areas. You'll see many human figures that are Strategically Worn.
