    Starlord's biggest feat was talking down Thanos with a good argument. When the Watcher added T'challa to the team I was assuming it was because he was suppose to change Ultrons mind or something.
    They seemed to be setting it up too because Ultron seemed lost after destroying his first universe. But he really didn't do anything special.

    Honestly feel like Doctor Strange could have probably took on Ultron by himself.
    Granted all of his big feats seemed to take effort from him so if they gave him an assist from Carol Danvers and I guess kept starlord around to pickpocket Ultron, there's no way they would have lost.

  • @DogmaBeoulve
    @DogmaBeoulve 2 роки тому +44

    Do you know what I find really interesting in all of this? You just got to the part where Natasha corrupts Ultron with an AI/virus (?) and I was just sitting here, thinking, that the Ultron we knew from our timeline in our movie was *really* into self-improvement. He kept going through iteration after iteration of himself, upgrading himself whenever he could, however he could, to make himself stronger and more resilient... so I find it incredibly hard to believe that another Ultron, especially one that got the Infinity Stones, wouldn't have been doing the same. And having the Infinity Stones, he could be doing this without having to actually slave away trying to find new material and new tech to do this - he could teleport everywhere to find what he needed or even just conjure things into existence - or change his own existence - with the Stones to make himself a nigh-impregnable nightmare machine-god.
    So why didn't he? ;D
    That's one of the longest-term, biggest problems with superheroes, especially the ones from comics - power scaling. People and things get such insane powers that things often become unmanageable without resorting to similarly absurd solutions... or screwing the pooch completely by not addressing the problem or leaving gaping plot holes regardless.

    Regarding the explanation that ALT Dr. Strange was able to cast "Plot Armor" is because he's older than our Dr. Strange, the problem with that explanation IMO is that it forgets Strange was the Time Stone, which gave Strange the ability to see into the future. It doesn't appear hard to imagine that Strange could've used the Time Stone to forsee a spell that could work against the Infinity Glove.
    (Keep in mind, the Stone showed Strange a future five years past his own death to see how Iron Man defeats Thanos. If you believe every choice we make creates a different universe, you'd think using the Stone to see 14,000,000 fights with Thanos would produce trillions more different universes, one that could've shown a new sorcerer supreme discovering a spell to defeat Thanos)

    • @WeMissDimebag

    The way Ultron was handled from the very beginning (i.e. in the movie) was terrible. Whoever they got to write this stuff simply didn't understand the consequences of having an profoundly intelligent AI.
    The most prominent consequence is the advent of the the technological singularity. Pitting even the most intelligent entities you could find against such technology is losing proposition with every moment that passes having any kind of success disappear exponentially. In other words by the time the avengers knew there was a problem it was already too late.
    This is the case way before such an entity gets the infinity stones. With that kind of power together with the ability to convert matter into intelligence, I couldn't even begin to imagine anything that could stand against it.
    Further though, the idea that such an entity would desire to destroy seems stupid in the extreme. What in practice I would expect such a depiction to reveal, is that Ultron simply created a "bad guy" caricature for those who might want to interfere with its plans to deal with. That the caricature would battle with those forces and allow them to succeed thus implying that Ultron was no longer an issue of any kind. The very best way of winning a battle is to con the opposing side into thinking they've won while you remain entirely hidden and unhindered.
    With the reality stone, Ultron could easily encase any form of opposition in a pocket reality with those within it being entirely unaware of their confinement. I dare say this same result could be achieved using any of the stones.
    Stupid doesn't even begin to describe how much of a lost opportunity Ultron as an opposing force could have been.
    Thanks for the review, at least it saved me from having the pain of watching them fail so badly.

      That’s kind of how I feel about endgame I don’t believe the heroes actually one my theory is that Thanos just trick them into believing they did as a sort of perpetual dying dream just like Ultron probably did for this series because it doesn’t make any sense to make an all powerful villain and then you just dumb him down in the most stupidest way possible so that the heroes could win usually you would make a hero that scales up to that villain and everybody else is either a distraction or extra back up.

    • @sigmata0
      @sigmata0 2 роки тому

      @@mattmetawolf8634 I agree. It was way too easy for Thanos to create such an environment in which the heroes think they have won when they could be simply cut off from reality or in an illusion (or both) or as you say in a perpetual dying dream.
      There are variations too, where perhaps Dr Strange wanted to take control of everything and put everyone else in such an alternative world. How could a human evaluate a multitude futures and decide only one could be successful? Doesn't this rather depend on what accounted as success? Taking out loose cannons like Tony Stark might seem like a positive outcome for someone like Strange. Perhaps it was the inverse and everyone else was trapped but Stark (and Strange) was saved.
      The possibilities are literally endless in this regard and the version we got was very much the dumbed down iteration. Just watch the flashy CGI and don't ask questions.
      What they didn't address was how we were supposed to know if any particular presentation was actually real in some conventional sense. It was the big "How can we be sure?" that hid in plain sight.
      I always thought the greatest character flaw in Ms Marvel was her casual determination of what was accurate information. It really should have been a deep personal crisis as to what the truth really was but in effect it was hand waved away as if it wasn't a problem at all.
      Any hero can be fooled into becoming the villain if they are convinced they are acting on accurate information when they are not.
      Ultimately all the movies fall short in this regard.

    This actually isn't that implausible comics-wise.
    In an iteration of the comics, one of the ways Hank Pyme (the creator of Ultron in the comics universe) damages and slows down Ultron enough to be defeated is through creating a virus on a Commodore 64. In the comics, the explanation is that because Ultron has advanced himself so far, he has probably advanced himself to a point where regressing backwards compatibility would be too hard for him to do since advancing exponentially is easier to do than regressing exponentially. So the coding language, processing and compiling of the data from a Commodore 64 would be the equivalent of a modern day human trying to get a 1 to 1 translation of cave paintings. The way the comics explains it has just enough words to make sound plausible even if it doesn't make 100% sense.
    This is actually a thing about the What If stories that I find weird and confusing. Almost every episode has some actual tie to the comics they are basing themselves on, which prove that the writers at least read the comics, but then continue to either remove or ignore other elements of that comics to tell their story. Best example; in the Zombie Marvel episode, T'Challa is captured by Vision in order to feed Wanda if she were to get too hungry. This is a direct reference to the comics in which Hank Pyme essentially smuggles, hides and then drugs T'Challa away for himself to eat later when Magneto pulls off the plan to lock all the Zombie Heroes on some alternate planet or something. Its done because Hank knows nobody is going to share any food with him so, he keep T'Challa to himself so he never gets too hungry. In the Marvel Zombie line of comics, the thing that makes the world scary/fun is that only the Heroes are actual zombies and they are the kind of zombies that have some sort of intelligence to them, so they do trick and mentally manipulate their 'prey' to get a better chance at eating them, only becoming more mindless the hungrier they get. Even the headless character is a reference because when T'Challa escapes and thinks he's run into some enemies; he throws Janet's Zombie head at them as a weapon cause she's still trying to bite him this whole time.

Sam Wilson sympathizes with them. That alone disqualifies him from being a superhero in my book. Doctor Strange became powerful enough to destroy his own universe and cast shields after he absorbed hundreds, if not thousands of extra-dimensional beings. At one point during the fight, he lost control and released one that looked like an octopus, that fortunately decide to fight Ultron. Besides that, the series as a whole wasn't that great.

    • @yamadiyoo9658
      @yamadiyoo9658 2 роки тому +1

      I honestly think the octopus being from both the Carter episode and Strange episode is Shuma-Gorath. However, if that is true then it makes no sense how Carter is still sane or not working for it, as Shuma is normally beatable because a droplet of his power is in the universe. Being in his universe is not a winning battle unless your a character like Strange or Death.

    Party Thor was the diversion for kill monger because he needed supervision. Peggy was so close to widow that she knew about her family when Steve didn't. That's what earned trust. Gamora was so killmonger didn't find out he was disposable. No one needs foresight to know killmonger was going to betray the team or that the virus was coming back or trusting hydra to save the day is a bad idea. And yes ultron and the watcher knew the crusher wouldn't work.

    You know what Ultron could’ve done used the space and reality stone to make an ability which makes people shrink to half their size every time someone halves the distance between them and as one’s height reduced by half and takes double the time to walk the distance so if one’s height is a quarter of their original,it would take 4 times longer to walk the distance, If a human could think of this Ultron definitely could

    You forgot, Peggy Carter didn't just do the same thing Steve would have. She did it better.
    Also, infinity stones can't work outside their own universe. This whole storyline was stupid. The infinity destroyer follows the rules but the stones don't? Ugh.
    I'm not sure why they got this hate for Gamora. She was absent from all the episodes other than one that involved her and somehow it was cut from the season? You can tell who they hate based on the voice actors. The original actors that don't reprise their roles are either contractually done or 'wronged' Disney somehow. Brie Larson, Chris Pratt, and Scarlet Johansson come to mind.
    I'm disappointed they couldn't get James Spader to play Ultron or maybe Paul Bettany.

    Numerous times over the course of watching this show with a friend of mine I would point out ridiculous things that didn’t make any sense and my friend would pretty much always simply say “it doesn’t matter. It’s what if.” The last time this happened was when thanos got cut in half in episode 8. From that point on I simply sat in silence and had no input or feeling on anything that happened. If nothing matters, why are we watching this? If nothing matters, what makes this not the equivalent of an anime filler arc? I mean seriously if we just chalk everything up to “it’s what if!” Then that means literally anything can happen moment to moment and there is no reason to be invested in any of it. It’s basically the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

    Dr. Strange Supreme not only is a lot older and knows more magic (which they didn't say but could be easily assumed) he is also much more powerful as main universe dr Strange due to him absorbing so many different multidimensional monsters and taking their power to increase his, so that at least had some reasonability, in my mind at least.

  • @guys72ss1
    @guys72ss1 2 роки тому

    You missed the biggest two plot holes . Strange Supreme has the power to reverse an absolute point in time, and could collapse a universe. So he could have just stopped the absolute point in all times universe and collapsed it and saved everyone else. Two the major mistake in episode 9 is that there was no arrow to use because Zola was already downloaded into an Ultron bot. In the previous episodes showed Clint using the arrow in the battle against ultron's minions. Clint shoots the eye out of one of the Ultron's bot army, and downloads Zola into the robot. So the Arrow would be useless against ultron at this point.

    - Black Widow being a Mary Sue (as of late but especially here), doing special stuff just as well as the other Avengers (Being a tech wiz like Tony himself, using a shield just like Steve and Peggy, shooting a bullseye like Hawkeye himself 😵)
    - nobody realizing that the Soul Stone was literally the last stone they should’ve thought to steal...it should’ve been the Reality Stone
    - Gamora defeats Thanos?? Fucking HOW
    - Watcher thinking that Captain Carter was actually gonna be useful
    - Watcher revealing himself to everyone, in every reality he went to recruit from
    - Watcher just kinda not doing anything until the last second
    - Watcher forever changing up Killmonger’s world by removing him
    ...speaking of that
    - WATCHER THINKING THAT KILLMONGER WAS A GOOD CHOICE
    But now, Things I loved
    - Doctor Strange Supreme
    - Star Lord T’Challa
    - ZOMBIE WANDA 👀
    - Doctor Strange Supreme
    - Infinity Ultron in general (minus not using the Reality Stone too much)
    - Doctor Strange Supreme
