Stony Stratford Classic Car Show New Years Day 2022

- New Years Day 2022, and Stony Stratford is the place to be for any petrol head. For the last few years Stony Stratford has hosted a Vintage and Veteran Car Show on New Years Day. This has grown with Classic Cars attending along with Motorcycles. Its a good one to attend and its my first time to this show. The town is taken over by cars, and at 12 it's rev it up time, where you hear the raw sound of engines. Everything is separated into its areas, so the original Vintage and Veteran Car Show is still held on the main square, with the classic cars on the main road and in the car park round the back. Then the motorcycles also get to enjoy the main square along with some military vehicles. It's a free show to attend, all they ask is a small donation to the local charities, which is more than fair enough. considering the weather conditions of whether it going to rain or not, there was a large turn out, and it was certainly a great event. Start the year as you mean to go on, and make it a classic one, this was for sure a great start to a great year to come.

Hi Steve . Well that was a turn up for the books ! What a fantastic eclectic mix of everything ! I wonder if that was a Cobra .....could have been ! As you said , for the time of year and the weather, that was brilliant ! I'm sure people were giving Covid the V sign and thought we're going and thats final !! Thanks Steve .
Unfortunately the Corba was a kit car, but yes it looks like we are all moving forward with life, and going back to how things should be. Finger cross things keep on going like this, I don't want to go though anything like it again in my lifetime 👍

Your welcome Graham. The square nosed convertibles were Berkeley’s I’ve been after one for a while, but like anything it’s finding somewhere to garage one. Interesting cats made as 3 wheelers and later 4 wheelers, also a range of engines with a 2 stroke 3 cylinder one too 👍🏻
@@SteveDentonClassics -15 C here this morning Steve, so no car shows for a while. I did hook up a trickle charger on the TR6 this morning though. Poor thing was begging me to take her out. At least i sat in her, and exercised her clutch and brake pedals, and rolled her forward a few feet to save her tires. :)
I do that too during the winter. Unless it’s a very special event, then my TR6 won’t got out at all between October and March. However with the Spitfire, it’s being rebuilt so it goes out in all weathers 👍🏻
