It has been designed as a particularly powerful industrial crane for jobs with a luffing jib and derrick system, for example for power plant construction and the petrochemicals industry. The new Liebherr 800-tonne crane is currently the most powerful crawler crane on the market with a basic machine just 3 metres wide.
I drove liebherr cranes for 30 years, and believe me they were the best, they are the real big boys toys.
Why am I so absolutely fascinated by these Liebherr Crawler Cranes? I could watch them all day but even the models are too expensive.
Jeez. I just got done building a mini-fig scale Lego LR-1600. Guess I'm converting it to the 1800. Love Liebheer crawlers!
You too, can have this crawler crane delivered to you ... on seven lorries and wait two weeks for it to be assembled to move 1 single item in a single afternoon.
It must safe money moving it one go plus it's the way it comes nothing the crane company can do...

While it wasn't this particular one, I saw a similar crawler crane of massive size. Construction side took days to assemble this massive crane. But it only took a few hours to lift one bridge segment into place. Then another few days to disassemble the massive crawler crane. So much time put into preparation and clearing of a construction site just for one single simple lift job. But the bridge segment needed the massive crane so... I guess there were no other choices. I believe it was a Liebherr crane too.

You know it's a big crane when it takes over a dozen wide heavyload semis to move it for set up!
Yet this is still small... When compared to a LR13000

We have an LR1750 here at Bay Crane NYC and she comes on a hell of a lot more than 12 trailers

Это в Тобольске при строительстве завода его использовали, правда он все равно не смог поднять вес, пришлось подключать второй кран. Но масштабы конечно впечатляют.

That's why I like trusses in triangular connections with a thatched roof. Very simple, very stable and very effective and sustainable. Well, most of it has been bombed into rubble. It was probably not so stable and sustainable.Self-inflicted, isn't it?

Aber in Bezug auf variables Gewicht war scheinbar Manitowoc einige Jahre besser.
