Beautiful machines beautifully engineered and beautifully employed. Even those ballast blocks are works of art! I just wish I could see what the Aeolus is going to do with that leg. Thanks for posting!
As an ironworker i work with cranes every day and on the big heavy industrial jobs some nice big cranes but I want to get on with a company like sarens or mammoet and do cool shit like this.
I was thinking why have they got the big boy out for that job? Then you said the leg weighed nearly a thousand tons! Very good clearance calculation by them there too.
I see Mammoet uses many of your cranes, in many different configurations, and I'd like to ask you if today (July 2021) is he one of the most (or even the top one) client of Liebherr ? Thank you for answering if you like.
CB&I MEG 1 Project Milestone. Mammoet uses one of the largest cranes in the world to set 1,512 ton wash tower. CB&I LACC Project Milestone. Mammoet transports 2,500 ton heater module.
This crawler crane set the bar too high literally and metaphorically . This masterpiece of engineering can lift how much exactly ? 2.5 k tones , perhaps more ? that lift was like 940 tons and it seemed to me the crane was lifting a toothpick , of course 940 tons are no joke considering the height the lift reached , the slightest wind direction changing could be an issue for any other crane , but not for Liebherr LR 13000.
If your smart enough to be a player in any part of your career in any of the fields. You will make killer money!! I was, from underwater welding,to the gulf of Mexico after hurricane Katrina came through there an desimated the oil rigs and platforms. From there to shipyard work then to Hawaii. To work in the superbowl of jobs, Pearl Harbor!! Then finally, the local union, local 627 recruited me for the islands first "Biodiesel " plant. Then, retirement!!! You should be so lucky!!
Can someone from Liebherr explain to me why there's no pads under the tips of the tracks? With the drive motors or idler wheels hanging of the pads this changes your tipping point. Awesome crane and job though, I was just curious about the pads.
Hello Jason, thanks for your question. They did a good job, everything is all right here. Inside the crawler and catwalks are track rollers mounted and the power transmission begins behind the Touraswheel. It’s perfect how they positioned the LR 13000 on the pads. If you want to know more details about that, just send us a mail to social.media@liebherr.com
Giant things like this are awesome; I've always been fascinated by them. On a side note, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, never, never, never, never, never, never, use music as a guide for editing video. The people that watch the video of this amazing machine want to see the machine, not see an MTV video (as if they still do videos...). The quick cuts don't allow the brain to process what's in the segment of video edited to music, because each is less than a second long. Nonetheless, thanks for the post.
+Mark Hahn Your are right, they should make two videos, one scientific and one like this. I like the artistic editing of this one though. The music and video cuts are awesome.
Liebherr is a company that makes cranes and is the company that makes the LR13000 and Mammoet is the owner of this crane and the company that is contracted to do this job in the video. Liebherr only makes the cranes. Mammoet and hundreds of other companies around the world own and operate cranes they build. Mammoet owns this LR13000 so that is the reason there name is all over it.
OMG, I think we have better to leave the globe for the Germans or let the Germans find a suitable planet for them to build because they deserve a special, individual planet to live on.
The barge that you see first in the video is from Wagenborg The craneship later in the video is from Van Oord The crane on the dock is owned by Mammoet All DUTCH company`s...... ok, the German company Liebherr made the crane on the dock....
Crane is one of the most sophisticated technology in civil engineering.
German engineering at it's best. What a crazy machine!
Fuck me!...what a beast. German engineering at its finest.....I WANT ONE!!
I feel very lucky that got to sit in the cab of this crane! Different job
I need more videos like this.
Beautiful machines beautifully engineered and beautifully employed.

Really beautiful dear

Cool story Bro
Videos like this should be 40 mins long.
4 mins doesn't do justice for videos like this.
What can I say other than "Awesome"!!!
whats even more awesome, is that the lr13000 can lift very nearly 2x more than the crane on the ship.
larryswindcatcher No other engineering company operates on the high level of LIEBHERR!!!
@@davidsolomon8203 don't count out the sarens SGC-250 with a lifting capacity of over 5,000TONS! Pretty sure that's on a whole other level as well.
Fascinating isn't it
@@MasterCivilEngineering I was an apprentice rigger in a Spar Tree tree logging operation when I was 16 years old.
Mighty impressive engineering.
Bravissimi nell'assemblaggio di questo video. Ottima la musica in piena sintonia con le riprese.
Video molto bello e curato.
Awesome machine!

Excellent video 👍
Thats one big ass crane

You’re welcome
The crane to build Cranes
wow, so much tonnage. how can they be sure that the wharf is built to take that weight ?
Liebherr motto should be: '' If is heavy we can lift it''
Great video. Would like to see more from Mammoet

Wow. I'd really like a psychiatrist to explain why this is so fascinating.
very cool
I cant say anything 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I hope sometime I can work with liebherr
Nice job bero
I hope one qhen I when the lottery I buy myself some crawler cranes and make nice movies just like this one...👍

+Mark Hahn I find this (promotional) video and sound ok.
If some agitated spokesman would have been included, that would be really bad.
I am confused by the different brand names. Cool equipment though.

These legs will Jack the ship up out of the water, for stability, when installing the turbines is this correct ??
right
Cool
What is the average salary of a crane operator for cranes of this caliber? It must be a good living!
Dear Liebherr can you offer me a job training program to run this? id would move out of the U.S to do this!
Good luck bro
Beast
How much cash did they spend for that one single lift?
120 meter looks big and impressive, but compared to what size it can be, this crane is tiny, this 13000 model can be op to 250 meters height!
yes but it cant lift 1000 tons at 250 meters ;)
to many and to fast cuts, can't keep an eye on it.
simple the best Superlift
what`s the name of Soundtrack??
yes it is
I want one to make a small film from above
A drone will be much cheaper than this beast.
How big!
Gravity is a tough opponent
Followed closely by inertia and momentum
this is a liebherr crane or mammoet crane?
Technik die beeindruckt!!! Aber ohne Kommentar nicht interessent/informatiev
they use Ridderinckhof pulley winches on it? ( the boat legs)
Probably looking at 40-50 million quid right there....
when he releases the load as he turns if in counterweight he touches the ground .. can someone explain to me?
Are they available in the USA like Los Angeles Hollywood California
im sure theyd ship it to you. i mean the crane itself costs like 35M
How much would it cost me to rent one
A couple of thousands of-of dollars per hour, plus crew and the cost to move it to the site. $250K is probably in the ballpark.
Can it carry the heaviest plane?!!
This crane can lift 3000 tonnes, why not?
Is there a longer vid of this lift ??
Кто бы сомневался)
Росси никогда до этого не дойти
OMG, I think we have better to leave the globe for the Germans or let the Germans find a suitable planet for them to build because they deserve a special, individual planet to live on.
That was their thinking in the late 30's didn't get them too far.
Bet the German people wish they have their own planet without muslims
Pmpbuh Pmpbuh mammoet its Dutch 😎
But Liebherr is German, everyone could buy one with enough coins
The barge that you see first in the video is from Wagenborg

All DUTCH company`s......
ok, the German company Liebherr made the crane on the dock....
