Generally, as a captain, it only takes one time of doing something pretty dumb and/or hurting one of your crew that you start to notice the dumb things we saw in some of these clips and you put a stop to it. i.e.: people dangling their legs of the front of a pontoon boat.
I think this is the first time I've seen two people try to reenact that one famous scene from the movie Titanic while going through the inlet. They are lucky they didn't fall out of the boat!
A fall from the front of a pontoon boat is a straight funnel to the engine. With the water conditions, the passengers should be further aft to get the bow a little higher. On a lighter note the Sea Prop has Twin 300 Mercury.
Yes but what is Worse is that boat should Only access fast speeds after leaving the inlet Not after the bridge. Manatees migrate along the coastal, and into the interior waters for birthing , etc of course that would cut out this shots , but that's progress for you . Sad really but if you were to apply some human care you could have a spotter to worn outgoing & incoming traffic, criticism but with a Solution just by raising a flag .
@@phillippitts6294 It is only Bud Light drinking democrat teachers that bring their five year old students into gray bars to watch them strip that suck. Pardon the pun.
Just out of curiosity - where do these boats go after leaving the inlet? Many of these craft are just seats in the open with big / a lot of engines and I wouldn’t to spend a lot of time in the blazing sun.
I have a few questions: do these huge walk-around boats have any below deck for overnight stays etc? Do they have to have so many engines or is that a status/vanity thing? How come they always go full fucking send into that inlet - aren't there any rules around speed close to shore? How come no life jackets - holy crap! cheers
Thats so funny that first patoon boat i see everyday while working along the canals behind peoples homes i always see them cruising around behind homes along eastcoat pompano beach area
Thought pontoon boats were for lakes and rivers. Anyway the pontoon boat going out the inlet with the front door open and passengers legs hanging over the edge was dumb. Could have hit a wave and gone flying under the boat. Don't think you've suppose to get that close to a manatee either, considered harrassment?
Coast gaurd documented and florida with documented boats I believe they only require a sticker on the windshield of course someone who can afford a multi million dollar boat probably doesn't care about the fine for not having the sticker on the boat
It's possible they are not registered with the state, which issues registration numbers, but with the nation, via a port. If so, all they require is the name and port of registry on the stern, much like an ocean-going vessel.
@@jermainerace4156 I have since learned that if you register your boat under the coast guard there is no requirement to run state issued numbers. Some states will require you pay taxes and issue the sticker which you can put anywhere on the port side
😮😮I guess I don’t understand what all these people are doing wrong. I fell off a shrimp boat at age 5 late one night. I think I survived. Not sure. Maybe I am a ghost.
A lot of what you're seeing here is planing working. You can wallow, roll, and puke, or you can whoosh whoosh whoosh over the tops. Hell on boats either way.
Some of these people have no business being on the water that are preforming like children it’s a no wonder the police and USGC have problems trying to educate them and waste valuable time on just plain stupidity when there are people who really need the help
That cigarette with the six? 😂I had to rewind the video to count. With that kind of aerodynamics i don't see it helping out what so ever. Maybe it's for hauling people. That boat looks like it can squeeze 30 people inside.
We used to burn ours, but they were older and cheaper than these. You have to wait for the right point of the evening, though. They go up like a torch, and cutting them up ahead of time isn''t fun, so it's one big event.
Really shocking to see that almost no one is wearing a life vest or a kill cord. Specially the ones who are driving alone on the boat. Safety is obviously not important, only speed.....
Most of these boats are totally useless unless you’re part of the hey-look-at-me crowd. Glad we moved our of South Florida with all the idiots on the water, now we can take a nice cruise down the Tennessee River without getting waked!
Looks like all about showing off and being seen and not much to do with real boating. Everyone driving too fast with taking no precautions, no life vests, people crazily sitting on the bow and breaking their backs and general chaos as long as they are making a show of themselves to the world at large.
These videos are interesting from a sociological standpoint. I do not regard that population there, as much of anything humanity can write home about. Motorboats, are an immature possession, and it really shows. When I saw , "U Wish" all I could think was, no I definitely do not. These people have no self awareness,..and they have zero regard for anything of substance. They are the least of us,. It is quite sad. This is not the way.
I think the red headed woman in the green and gray boat with 5 engines threw a white power hand sign as they were returning into the inlet. Maybe she was just saying “all is well” which is what it use to mean. I hope that’s what she was signaling.
More motors each have an easier job, and you can put props with more pitch on them. More pitch equals more speed. First you get the motors, then you get the speed, then you get the women.
Because they could not fit 6 on it? Wasn't it Hives boss of Rolls Royce when asked why he only flew on planes with 4 engines replied because they do not make any with 5.
Serious case of wrong boat for the location. And yet another pontoon out with passengers hanging out the front!! What are your thoughts on this?
Natural Selection at work.
My thoughts? People are stupid. This occurs on boats, cars, airplanes and one can only hope for Darwinism to take over lol.
If the cameraman had a bullhorn, he'd also have a second full-time job. The front of a pontoon boat is basically the funnel to a meat chopper.
Do you need to go that fast to make it out of the inlet?
Pontoon boats should be restricted to lakes only, they are clearly not safe for rough water areas
I love how everybody's looking at you instead of driving their boats.
The way things are going with outboards in the US I'm waiting to see my 1st small super yacht with say 20+ outboards on the back.
I guess it's a good way to show how much money you spend.... with inboards you can't do that no matter how strong and expensive they are
One had six 🫣 ridiculous, tying to make up for something that’s small🤔

This seems to go against the old adage, "The best two days for a boat owner is the day he buys it and the day he sells it".
I have noticed that the nice boats like midnight express etc never havce registration numbers. Yachts never do either

I still can't believe that there are boat owners out of Haulover that have never seen these videos. LOL
I’m not a boater by any means but why do people fly through there when it’s so choppy? I understand planing but doesn’t seem to work at the inlet
That’s the best way to handle most inlets.
