Try putting your knives up the other way, that way the hilt on the handle stops them from sliding down

We have a Freelander which looks like your and I just made a light mesh basket 1200x550 for on top of the toolbox for light bits and pieces painted black. A suggestion when you use your ramps under your wheels to pull the van up onto them and not reverse up them so when you unhitch if anything moves the van will move away from you and not towards the car or your fingers.

I was wondering what size inverter you use to run the aircon, washing mashine, etc.
We just bought a lotus offgrid 23 (thanks for the inspiration 😊)and about to upgrade from 200 to 600 in battery size.

Our inverter was the Victron 12V 3000VA MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-32 Inverter/Charger. Happy to help! Good luck with it all! Safe travels!

Yes 12 volt. Our battery setup was all ripped out after factory delivery and we got a battery tech to install a whole new setup as we didn’t like what it came with from factory.
Hi Guys we have just finished watching your van walk through, very nice. Am I right in reading you are from my home town Swan Hill? We’re also full time travellers and we love the Van life. You showed your van weights etc at the end of the video but am curious to know, you had the GVM upgraded to 3700kg did you also have the tow-bar rating increased as the 200 series only have a factory 3500 kg rating. Hopefully we X paths somewhere. We’re planning on crossing the Gibb River Rd about May/June.

We had the caravan atm upgraded to 4000kg. It sits fully loaded at around 3700kg. We did get the 200 series towing upgraded to 4000kg as well as the 200 series gvm and gcm upgraded.

You would think the price you pay for a lotus these days they would throw in a diesel heater.
Thankfully we’ve not really needed a heater as of yet but we have discussed installing one when we sit still for long enough.

Great video guys, a lot of helpful information. Loved the kids bunks! How do you make them so tidy? Are they a special size for the caravan or do you just get the single and tuck it all in?
Thank you! Thanks for watching. We’re pretty OCD and I feel if the beds are made and tidy the whole van is clean and tidy haha 😂 just super tucked in. The bunks are super long as they go across the whole back wall but they fit single sheets that have quite a bit of depth in the sides and just single doonas.

Do you have plans to put in a diesel heater or are you going to chase the summer? Haha.
I can bet the amount of room you have in the caravan is great, but do you think the overall dimensions of the van is too big? Like for getting into tight places, or have you had no issues?
We are waiting on a 18ft van. Just wondering if it's big enough 😆
Thanks for watching Daryl. 👍🏽 we have talked about installing one and definitely have room and weight, just haven’t gotten to it yet. We will more than likely install one when we sit still for a little while. With the van size, we haven’t really had any issues with fitting into tight places. Henry’s a great driver and can get us in and out of anywhere. Every caravan park we’ve stayed at usually have ‘big rig’ sites. We love spacious free camps and the parks camps usually have measurements of the sites when you book online. If we were to downsize we’d probably not go under 21ft just for comfort really with the kids.

I have a 2021 200 series with the 4.2t lovels kit
Air bags and adjustable shocks
4t towing
Had a few issues with the hitch
Got really hard to open and close.
Will get it swapped out under warranty.
Have you had the same trouble.

No problems with the hitch opening and closing. We did have an issue with one on the side pins not being pressed in and Lovells were amazing in replacing it very quickly. Our new one seems to be pressed and screwed on the sides now.

Yes absolutely! Tape the taps, leave the pump on and keep the grey water tank open.
