That's all great and I'm sure your gvm up grade is fine but what's the wait of your vehicle compared to your loaded Caravan , be careful as another u- tuber says don't let the tail wag the dog , stay safe good travels
Car is definitely heavier. We know of that saying haha. Our van is only 3.7T loaded and full of water. We have 300kg to spare in the van if we needed it. We travel light and don’t carry a heap of unnecessary things we see others carry. Yes will do, thank you!
great video and Lotus has been one of the caravans I've been looking at to purchase. I looked onto their website but they don't have pricing. Any chance you can share approx how much this cost you if you don't mind sharing?
Hey mate, thank you! They're an awesome van. Pricing does vary depending on your needs/ extras etc. We did buy ours stock and from WA. I don't think we had much change from $120,000 that's just buying the van as is (before adding any extras) and getting it freighted to Vic.

Great van guys! Question, have you done an upgrade to the tow capacity for the Landcruiser? They are only 3500kg from factory so was wondering why you upgraded the weight of the van to 4000kg when you wouldn’t be able to legally tow it?
Yes we have definitely got both a gvm and btc upgrade. We kitted out the car first how we wanted it then took it in for a gvm and btc upgrade once we had it all done so we knew exactly where we stood with weights. We do have a video of our car upgrades if you want to check that out. We definitely wouldn’t travel over weight and risk our lives driving dangerously, damaging the car or risk not being covered for insurance if anything happened. Henry has been a truck driver for over 10 years so he definitely is very strict on weights and making sure everything is legal. Main reason for upgrading caravan weight was purely to carry more water nothing else as fully packed and standard tanks full we were still fairly under the original 3.5T. I think we seem to be very minimal compared to other families we’ve seen traveling though.

@@LivingOffTheVan If your van is 3.5 ton your car can only be weighing 3.350 kg Maximum, whether or not you have a GVM upgrade because 200 Landcruiser GCM is only 6850 kg.

I’ve stumbled yesterday across your channel and watched everything in one go… we’re about 4 weeks away from “NO” set travel plans like you and have completed the similar journey by selling our house to do this also.
We ordered our van in AUG2020 and after a change in company and a different van last November we should get our off road bunk van in 2-3weeks…
It brought happy, nervous tears to my eyes when you guys drove up to your van in the yard for the first time and we can’t wait for our similar experience in a few weeks.
