Hi Harry...i have recently purchased samsung s23...it comes android 13 and UI 5.1...will the carstream app downloaded from AAAD work for youtube videos??
You can try but I'm not really sure it will work for you as one other s23 user confirmed it didn't work for then either, can't recall which app though.
Fermata auto works for youtube
I used aaad to install carstream but got a problem that renders it totally useless. As fast as I click search or the keyboard button in carstream i get a grey frame over half my screen saying i need to park the car to make changes. The keyboard that is opened up is also way to small to work good. Running a Samsung a42 5G. Can i do something about it or do i just accept defeat?

I followed the instructions and downloaded v2.0.5. However in the three dots I got the option: Unlock [root]. When selected, messahe says: toot not available,. Install SuperSU and unroot it first. What is going on?
root? no that option is only if you wish to root your phone which i do not recommend. please mention the time stamp where you are receiving these options

Followed all the steps. When I click on the app on my car display, I get the message "no new messages" and that's it.

I have AAAD and Carstream installed on my phone and can watch UA-cam on my car no problem. But am wondering how to watch Netflix also. And others, like Hulu if possible. I know Netflix can be done, but cannot figure out how. TIA
Unfortunately, in order to view apps like Netflix, you'll have to root your phone which I do not recommend as that will void your phone's warranty. You can go ahead and buy an Android/Carplay AI box like this one which works wonderfully with such apps: ua-cam.com/video/rbzUF1I1hSo/v-deo.html
Android 14 (Samsung S23 ultra) UI 6. Nothing is working. I can see all the apps from king installer but when I'm trying to open says : No new messages during this drive. I think I will buy an Ottocast device. I'm tired so much 2 days to try different methods.

I've tried installing the carstream using AAAD and it didn't show up as a possible icon on my Android Auto options until i found your video. where i found the developer options for Android Auto. after selecting the boxes and enabling what you suggested, it showed up. it also showed up on the car but than i got the "no new messages during this drive" my phone is the GALAXY S21 ULTRA 5G running Android 14 Android Auto version 11.0.635054-release is there something im missing, is there a way to watch youtube videos on the console with out buying a Magic box? please help me

Glad you were able to find my videos. Yeah, unfortunately Android 14 has been causing a lot of issues lately. I'd recommend the T-Box plus or the Linkifun GT6 which I'll be reviewing shortly. I managed to get the Carstream app installed onto my Android auto device but when I open Carstream nothing is there and a message appears that's says "No new messages during drive." Anyone else encounter this issue?
Unfortunately, every android 14 phone is facing this issue ever since the phones were upgraded to the current version. I'm guessing your phone is also android 14. I'm currently looking for a solution for this and will upload a solution as soon as I find something.

Those are the exact things that should be done in order to see it in the list. Not sure why it's not showing there. Try restarting the phone maybe.

Same as others here but am running Carstream version 2.0.5 It loads no problem on my S22 Ultra. However it doesn't show in list of apps in Android audio either.

Carstream doesn’t work on my Kia K5 anymore. Must be the android version now. Android audio works fine, but this is unfortunate. Think there is another workaround with some kind of mirror program in AAAD, but I'm not sure the name?

ohhh, that's an odd issue. I've never encountered that issue so I won't be able to provide a definitive solution. You can try the other similar apps too and see which works for you best.

there might be a few ways of downgrading to a previous version but I haven't tried any. But it may not be so easy. Try searching online with your phone model if you can find anything.

@@djprole1843 No problem at all. Unfortunately, almost all pixel phones are facing this kind of an issue. There seems to be some security around pixel phones preventing them to get these working. Looking into it for a solution and will post a video if I find anything useful.

Hey Bro i have tried everything but this app doesnt show on my car screen. It works on my s23 ultra but when i conenct with android auto this app is not on car screen
Same happened to me on s23 ultra but i managed to fix it. 1.) I enabled unknown sources in developer settings but that didn't work. 2.) Then I restarted my phone still didn't work 3.) Then I opened the AAAD app followed by the CarStream App on phone 4.) Went to android auto custom launcher settings on phone and carstream was visible

@@HarryWT nope, just used the latest apk. It didnt work at first, but it did after I uninstalled from my phone and back.
It's not 100%, but you have access to a decent amount of channels and playlists.
And also it shows in split screen to the map, so that's a plus.
I have a 2023 mazda 3, no touch, so car stream is a pain for me.

How can I get youtube TV on carstream?
I couldn't check that since that isn't yet supported in my region. I assume there should be some other download file for it and the installation should work in a similar manner.
