I didn't want to root my phone, after endless tries of trying different things without rooting, i gave up and thought that I might root and use the apps I wanted to in AA. Glad that i came across this video at the last moment just before proceeding to root my phone. Thanks a lot :)

Yes it works. Follow instructions just like video says. Anyone who says some BS about apps needing root or phone needing root and that it doesn't work just didn't install and configure correctly. Now, it's buggy, for sure. It doesn't like to shut down and restart correctly and it also gets confused when Spotify was last used. So typical functional software bugs dealing with the interfacing with OS and other apps, software settings, etc. I had to shutdown all apps and even restart my phone to get the GUI to start up correctly in android auto. So, starting and stopping videos, switching active apps on Android Auto, etc can cause bugs to show. It's definitely not refined. But, you can get it to work, just down expect it be polished like other 'official' android auto apps. Installed on Android 11, in North America, with all other apps updated.
What you say is correct. They are not official apps and of course they are full of bugs. But they allow you to use new features on Android Auto without having a rooted phone.
@@socializziamonet another one I found today is when the I've got UA-cam playing a video but I had previously had Spotify running. When I selected formata and ran Spotify it left Spotify in the background. So then, when I went to adjust the volume for the you tube video it switched the audio back to Spotify. So 1. Fix so when formata auto is selected it takes priority and/or shuts down any other app that was running just prior. Additionally, check that the volume control is always linked to active formata auto. Two birds, one stone likely.

Aa mirror doesn't work with the new Android auto. No one is showing how to disable updates for android auto. All the hacked apps disappear now
It gives error when i click car stream on aad. App not responding
When I listen to that with the car stream which works fine the song will end and then repeat is there a setting or how do I stop that from repeating the same song I just listened to
However the install just runs and then I have to terminate the installation and I am still left with "one installation. "
I have installed the AAAD app ok but can't find the menu for the apps like car stream. How do I do this .

I'm not sure what im doing wrong, but the option for your tube doesn't appear in android auto when I open it? It does show in the app though.
I'm on Android 11 if that makes any difference.
With Android 11 and the latest versions of Android Auto, it doesn't work. You need to downgrade Android Auto.

I have AA 6.5xxx also I have the FA pro version. It does work nor shows on the car screen. I have Car Tube (not pro) that shows on the screen but does not work. I am not able to downgrade AA. ant suggestions?
With versions after 6.3 of AA these apps don't work. It would appear that with version 6.6 they are working again. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but will shortly.

Yep, I second that. It's not currently possible with 1.4 I installed. Allow complete full screen and fix bugs related to video start, stop, interfacing with other apps

I cannot figure it out. How can I tell what app will work on my phone? Why do you not show the app working and mirroring. I payed for apps that I have no instructions to use.
I am not the developer of the apps and you don't have to pay to install them. All phones are different. Some apps may work, others less so. You have to try it yourself.

I want to connect my other phone to car bluetooth which is not connected to car android auto. ? I am trying but not happening. Android auto automatically connecting bluetooth of car
android auto requires Bluetooth even though its plugged in to USB. you wont be able to connect the second phone while your first phone is connected to android auto

You could try showing 2 apps simultaneously on the screen, maybe it'll work 🤷

Go to settings then app then search there , you will find it.

AA mirror APK icon not view in customize launcher !!!!!!? on Android auto after I do the following
1- Downloaded and install Android auto Apk app. Version 6.3.611324- release
2- open android auto setting and go to down to version and click on it many times to activate developers setting
3- click the 3 points on right side top and click developers setting
* Unknown sources ✓
* Developers app. ( Developer )
4- download and install AAAD APK app from link version 1.4
5- open AAAD APK app and select AA mirror and install it version 1.2

When I go to install Fermata Auto, I just get a Loading text and nothing happens. App eventually crashes. Pixel 5. Any advice?
You just have to click the download bar again. It's a crude check to make sure you want to install.
aa mirror stopped working.. killed by Google. Can't see on my C class 2019 USB connected. I paid for the pro version
Unfortunately, with the latest version of Android Auto and with Android 11 it no longer works. To fix the problem you need to uninstall the latest version and install a previous version. I will make a video soon.

Guys, dont waste your money, the latest version of Android Auto will not support any media players except audio files (via Fermata Control ).
Fermata auto is not displayed in the car unit ( only Fermata Control is displayed )eventhough it is download and installed in the phone.
So don't waste money, i tried to install April version of AA, but installation failed! So struck with latest AA which is useless for AAAD apps.
Android Auto 7.1 don't work anymore with this program.
AAAD doesn't support Android 14.

CarStream works with Android Auto 6.3 only. I did uninstall the AA 6.4, download the AA 6.3, install. Works well now!
Yep newest android auto update ruined it. Have to Uninstall and revert back to the version before this newest one came out. 6.3

All pro does, and it's clearly stated, is it allows you to install more apps from the downloader. Otherwise, wait a month and install one at time. This is very crude, yet functional software. Don't expect a super refined experience. Latest ver is 1.4. so as they go, if they even do, they could address bugs. They might not have enough money or reason to keep updating releases.

After following the video instructions like I did. Use your brain. Install fermata auto. Then connect the phone to your car android auto. Then in android auto click buttons labeled fermata. It's super complicated. JK.
Because it doesn't work, lol. They just want to put bloatware on your phone.
