Thanks I will check. I installed fermata auto from AAAD but it doesn't show up in android auto. I uninstalled it and downloaded it from the web and installed on my Oppo and it appeared, but it only showed voice not image no video no youtube... AAmirrorplus , Cartube, Carstream appear in android auto with a black screen and they show me the message " not message while driving" or something like that.. Thanks Harry
@@schtroumph18 Ohh. I think your phone's not compatible yet. I heard that AAAD is working on resolving this issue for Oppo phones, not sure how long it will take though. Hopefully it works for you soon.

very informative video Harry, nice work, keep it going, i have some questions please, my phone is z fold 2 with the latest android 13 & Android auto 9.., my phone connects to my Car Android flawlessly without cable automatically, i installed AAAD & fermata auto from chrome giving all the permissions like Unkown resources & AA is on developer mode with developer settings enables as you mentioned but...................cannot see fermata auto on my car android unit wirelessly? i didnt tested with cable yet...whats your advise please. Does fermato auto only works with cable connection?
Hi Shiraz, glad you like my video and thank you for the kind words! Ok I see you have wireless android auto preinstalled in you car. Fermata Auto works wirelessly as well. I have an Android Auto Wireless Adaptor which provides the same functionality as well and the app works just as it did with cable connectivity. The issue seems to be the phone you are using. Many phones these days are coming with some or the other compatibility issues with this feature. Which phone and android version are you using?
@@HarryWT, i am using samsung z fold 2 5g, android 13, ui 5.1 with latest android auto version updated to 9....now the problem is that android auto is not working at all...i am still troubleshooting, because i have uninstalled aaad, fermata control Nd fermato auto, deleted the cache of android auto...now searching to get back to default connection of android auto to my car, then i will again redo the steps as u said...

The app looks fine but unfortunately I only see a blank screen on Android Auto. I have a Google Pixel phone. Any suggestions? Great video as always 👍🏼
Glad you found the video useful. I don't quite remember if I've ever come across any Google Pixel user trying to run any of these apps which is why I'm not sure why you're getting a black screen. What Android version is running in your phone? Perhaps the restrictions set in the pixel phones are more stringent.

Glad it worked for you. With the latest android auto versions, this functionality is being rolled out steadily region wise. So you should be able to see the split screen functionality soon enough.

Good question! I'm currently in the car to test this. Since my samsung phones automatically removes unused permissions from all the apps, it shows no permissions allowed for fermata auto and yet everything is working just like ot should in my car. This goes for both the fermata auto and fermata control, both of which will be required for it to function smoothly.
I have fermata up on my 2016 cupra 290 in the android auto but can only see folders favourites and playlists. I just got my Sgalaxy 23 ultra today so running all latest stuff amdroid 14. Not sure what the issue is. Running fermata 1.9.6
I think the issue is with the android 14 update as almost all android 14 phones are currently having this issue. I'm currently looking for a solution to it for all the apps and will soon upload something whenever I find a solution.

what does the fermata auto control does? do we also have to install the control one too ?
The control app helps in controlling the app using the steering wheel controls and head unit knobs. You can try installing just the fermata auto app and see if it works fine for you, else you can install the other one too.

Is there a way to calibrate the audio delay? Video is playing ahead of the audio and cant seem to find a setting
Unfortunately there isn't any solution to that as thats a tech limitation. The best we can get in regards to sync is to use a cable instead of wireless.

I can't get it to show in AA at all. After installation it's not showing up when I hit the customize launcher button. Pixel 7 Pro on Android 13 latest and latest AA with coolwalk.
I saw a few of the viewers commenting the same issue with their pixel phones. I guess that phone is not compatible any more. Will look into it and upload a solution if I find anything.

It recently worked on someone's Reno phone. Seems the AAAD is working on resolving issues with oppo phones. Lets wait a while and try again after a few weeks or so.

My Oppo is under Android 13( France, Europe). It seems that Android blocked the way android auto behaves with third party apps but as you said let's wait and see what will happen next. apologies but I don't really use iptv in my car so I am not that sure. However, as far as I know, you just need to enter a IPTV channel list link in fermata tv and that should work. You can find many such link via a simple google search.

I assume your phone is on android 14 right now. Unfortunately, all android 14 phones are facing similar issues and I'm currently looking into it for a possible solution.

I have pixel 6a but i cannot find Android auto in connected devices under settings.
Unfortunately, pixel phones re having issues with this method. Which is why I bought a pixel 7a just to resolve this issue but no luck yet. Will post a working solution video as soon as I find anything for all the supported apps.

@@HarryWT I've tried every single App by following each of your instructions step by step. My OnePlus 9 Pro runs on the latest version of Android 13 and my Android Auto runs the 8.8.630424 version.
@@enigmaticworshipper ohhh. So weird. I think this issue is either because of android 13 or because of the merger between oneplus and oppo. And oppo phones were not compatible either anyways so that may be the reason oneplus phones are not working anymore too. I'll keep looking and let u know if i find something.

Which app are you using? This issue does not occur in this app. Try either this or carstream or youtube auto, I've made videos for all these apps.
@HarryWT using Fermata. When I plug into android auto. Click on the app via the car screen. Along the bottom click the YT icon near the bottom right. Which opens YT. Then when we click the search bar while in motion, a "park to use the keyboard" overlay pops up and doesn't allow anything to be typed unless in park

just ground the parking wire to the ground wire it'll always thing you're park at least that's how we did with old flip up DVD stereo

As far as I remember it does work on the S23. Someone had confirmed to me in a video. You can try this or the other apps I've shown in different videos in the same playlist, at least 1 of them will definitely work.
Older versions of fermata will work otherwise not this one.
My pixel 7 pro worked flawlessly as did the pixel 6 pro, note 21 , etc. But yesterday I decided to be an idiot and update AA and fermata auto... Fermata auto just disappeared. Now, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get fermata auto back in Android Auto. I'm so frustrated. Nothing works.
