No one can question the righteous hatred, and contempt that the Oculus holds for the Xenos.
As any true servant of He upon the Throne should.
How's he going to feel when he finds evidence that the Old Ones may have created humanity?
@@jesseberg3271 you know, I always get the feeling he is working up to something like that...
@@jesseberg3271 He will feel only the briefest and smallest degree of pity for the foolish heretic who would have thought him to pass on such lies to any other than the holy orders of the Emperor's Inquisition.
@@jesseberg3271 They went extinct when the nearest human ancestor was a tree shrew with unusually good grip.
What did you receive?
Everything I asked for.
What did it cost you?
Everything.
Asking various Xenos about the fate of The Old Ones:
Necron: "They are assholes, and i'm going to shoot you now"
Eldar: "They are myth, and i'm going to shoot you now"
Ork: "Brain boyz? Waaaaaaagh!!!"
Tyranid: "Omnomnomnom"
Haha yah that just about covers it
Well, there's one Necron who might answer differently.
Trazyn: They were assholes. Would you like to see my exhibit about them?
The Silent King before entering stasis: "This party whack. We out, yo."
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Everybody gangsta until the Silent King fires the Annihilator Beam.
>millions of in-game years and 6 real word months later
“Hey guys I’m back! What’d i miss?”
@@mileshill7196 5 months later:
Trezyn: Shit's wack, yo. We gotta GTFO. Here, come look at my collection.
Silent King: "This has been an altogether exhausting age. I speak for the entire Necron race - _literally,_ for they cannot disobey nor countermand - when I say...we are very tired. We are going to bed, and dealing with all this when we wake up. Good night!"
that last paragraph... spoken with the zeal of a true follower of our god-emperor. here, have a purity seal, brother
Larpy
Stephen the purity Seal says
"BURN HERETIC!"
🦭
The Oculus gets all fire and brimstone when he talks about xenos it’s pretty fantastic.
@@AnIdiotsLantern fun fact, all the recordings are made by Inquisition Psychic Interrogation, and once all the tech-heresy, naming of things that specificity cannot be named (sometimes is even in the name people...) and all the stuff that's technically heresy, but isn't covered by "tech-heresy" well....
Honestly, with the Administration involved, it's going to take forever...
@@boydsinclair7606 really? I thought Occulus was submitting his reports to Guilliman’s Historica. Without the Primarch’s protection he would’ve been burned long ago
Yours has become my favourite 40k channel. It's not just the lore, but the persona you narrate it with. The devoted but curious Imperial scholar is awesome. Keep it up.
Indeed! Viva Tintin La Leutin too! :D
@@MrPiccolop Luetin is another very good one indeed!
They all have their own strengths and weaknesses. Leutin tells an excellent story, but imo he tends to spend too much time avoiding conflict by pre-justifying his reasoning.
Advo and Arch Warhammer has the most consistent releases, while 40K theories asks interesting questions and theorizes while doing fan made Astartes chapters. And 40 facts about 40k is just trash.
That ending had fire, damn
I feel our narrator has rediscovered a hatred for the Xeno compared to some of his recent logs, a visit from a friendly Inquisitor no doubt reminded him of where his duty lies.
Loved the grumpy "Ave imperator, gloria in exelsus Terra"
I know. Such hatred in his voice.
I loved the vicious passion in this one. Less dismayed by the state of the galaxy and humanities place in it, and more disgusted and furious that such a thing would dare exist. Sounded like you really had fun with this one.
Honoured Scribe your loathing and disdain for the filthy and unnatural Xeno is an inspiration for all loyal citizens of the Imperium.
Oculus! Love the ending of rage and disgust.
Love how you basicly said "bring it b**ch' to the Necrons at the end xD
Just imagine the necrons lazily waking up only to find Bolters, lasguns , tanks and titans all pointing their guns at the necrons
"What's that....warmup? Cute!"
Necrons: That's adorable.
The *venom* in the outtro of the record is *delectable.* Lovely work, Oculus.
Hatred and fear in equal measure.
As is becoming a theme with this content in general, this made my morning!
Gideon Scott you to huh?
Thursday morning Oculus updates totally makes my insomnia seem rather trivial. Ave Imperator.
Man! That Ave imperator! Come now. Tell us how you really feel!
That IS how he really feels!
Utterly fantastic as always. A truly entrancing performance, especially with the palpable hatred at the end.
No bargain between xenos could be any less than predation.
Necrons: We agree.
Being real here, that last paragraph gave me chills. Spoke with such passion, such zeal and fervour, you are a gift from the master of mankind himself!
Keep this up bro, seriously these videos aren't only the best Warhammer lore videos, but probably one of the best videos on UA-cam. The way you use words and your choice of music in the background is just pure magic.
10/10 would pray to the God Emperor to this again
Your shear contempt for the foul xeno is truly inspiring!
Had this playing in the background while playing as necrons in Dawn of War. Made the match just incredible to experience
I just watched the other one yesterday, so this is perfect timing.
Necrons finishing the video: *pushes head through the ground under Oculus* Great job man, imma keep your head
A dash of venom in the chronicler's voice at the end. Maybe he holds a grudge against the Necrons for something?
You're also going to need to do that 40k special in a hurry! 4,500 to go!
Maybe he spent some time as one of Trazyn's statues
@Iron Hands Terminator all xenos are hated, noble terminator. That is given. However, unlike other chronicles discussing the vile xeno hoards, there is an extra layer of hatred for this particular breed that shines through.
@Iron Hands Terminator Well said, noble terminator. The Emperor protects!
Maybe he's a good citizen of the imperium? Of course there's venom when speaking of the necrons.
@@MrLookatmyhat oh you're just actually disabled or twelve.
Sweet Holy Emperor on the hood of a baneblade, it's an honor getting to see my name as that last patreon supporter!
Also that pure and utter contempt for the foul xenos was so strong that the Ordo Xenos are probably eyeing you as a potential Inquisitor candidate
I love the irony that the chronicler character misses because he is caught up in dogmatic hatred, it's really well done.
Great episode as usual, thanks for entertaining us on a cold windy evening.
sweet naration! never stop.
us mortal men need this history.
knowledge is power. 10/10
Indeed, you humans do need it. A sense of perspective that you have been sorely lacking. A more true picture of what you face, and how woefully unprepared you are to meet beings that have empires greater than yours....
I recently found your channel and have been watching a lot, so when I saw this on my feed, I assumed it was an old one (HAH!). But then I saw it is four hours old. I’m stoked. Great soundtrack to make breakfast to. Rock on brother. Thanks for everything.
My fellow logos I find this record to be one of your greatest works in showing how Humanity is true Lords of the stars. These xenos have fallen and they should stay that way. With you humble permission I would like to summit this record for propaganda for the imperium and show our citizens how much we surpass these vile Xenos
Your problem is, human, we will NOT stay that way. We were here long before. We will be here long after you are gone.
Gotta say, I LOVE how in-character you get!
Waking up to a new video from the Oculus is one of my favorite small comforts.
I love this re-telling of the War in Heaven...best one on UA-cam!
I absolutely love your lore videos...you let us all taste for a while, the life of an adept of the administratum, and we love you for it!
Never change that Twitter name. I'm always in awe when listening to you and feel like I'm inside the 40k universe. But I always get pulled back in the real world with a chuckle and a grin when you say buttstuff kayju. I love it
Pure ravenous hatred for the Xenos and a way with words that rivals that of Sanguinius. You could've gone high in the Ecclesiarchy, but thank The Emperor you became a Chronicler
My dude, you convey a imperial scholars disgust of aliens soooo well
Always glad to see another Oculus Imperia vid appear on my feed. Well done and admiration as always :)
Good video. I appreciate your narrative voice, and how you interpret this great lore!!
As always I enjoyed the lore as well as your narration of it. Thank you and keep it up I look forward to the next one as one of your faithful fans and the emperor protects.
Once again you show how good of a lore narrator you are on youtube, excellent video.
Oculus your the man, I don't care what kind of butt-stuff you do with kaiju's
I love the immersive narration style.
A most excellent presentation of an abominable Xenos. The Emperor protects. We must learn the secrets of the blackstone and how to banish the Warp.
I really enjoyed your videos! Your delivery is spot on.
Can't get enough of these amazing lore videos
Very destructive war of unfathomable proportions.
Love the stuff that you make. So much in charracter all the way through giving it so much more than just the history. Keep it up!
And, change ButtstuffKaiju!
(Just wanted to reset the clock)
Another amazing oculus video to get me through my day
Our great historator is back to his xeno studying hobby
Oh look, a new Oculus vid. Lunch break just got interesting.
i preemptively like every video of yours just in case i accidentally forget afterwards
First, let me say top notch narration and script. Second, I have to admit there are times my blood runs cold listening to these lore videos, as I suspect there are threads in the 40k lore that are in some manner actually true.
A brilliant delivery of information as usual. Purge the Xenos!
Necrons: Sounds good. When y'all leaving?
Great lore video, love your work!
LITERALLY was just discussing this last night with a friend. Clearly this was ordained to be!
In the words of the old Albion poet Geoffric of Chauyser, "In the blue corner, the scholar, the zealot, bringing the zeal against the xenos, the one, the only Oooooooculus Imperia!!!"
As always, thank you for another one.
No mention of Adept Cortswain?
Considering how much his interwove with the storyline of the Necrons (in the 3rd edition at least), he seems like an odd piece of the puzzle to miss.
By the Golden Throne, Remembrancer! I love this channel!
Ooooo the chronicler got mad. I like it!
This video came up as I'm painting Blood Angels; a coincidence? I think not!
Another brilliant video
Excellent work.
Baha, we necrons have outlived your subspecies for many a millennia. It will be we who see the very end. As chaos shreds your feeble souls and casts itself back into the horrendous place known as the warp, it will be us who watches the final flames snuffed. Our king wills it, and our patience guarantees it.
Is it courage or foolishness that drives them to resist a force that has laid greater empires than theirs to waste? I never can decide with humans.
You truly are a glorious and most righteous servant of the god emperor
The War in Heaven is to Warhammer what the Silmarillion is to Lord Of The Rings.
And it is amazing
Nice to see some necrons content
Cool Beans! I've been waiting for this one.
*claps* I wish I owned a game studio so that I could hire you. Marvelous work. Encore.
I love the theme of the videos, but I love even more the Twitter handle xD.
Was about to go to bed , then my phone dinged, now to smoke a bowl and enjoy my morning 40k
Fantastic stuff!
"Show thine enemies the respect deserved. Show them thine greatest and most earnest zeal in defense against and assault upon their numbers."
Amazing upload just like EVERY ONE of your uploads are 👏👏👏
thanks you Iterator
I freakin love this channel👍.... Games workshop should scoop you up
Ave Imperator, Gloria in Excelsis Terra
Verily, thy narration doth shake the material realm with wonderous skill and zeal. Soon, thou shalt rival Morgan Freeman for emoloy in the movie industry.
Another job well done! I've never played anything Warhammer 40K related, but your videos are awesome sauce. Glad I stumbled across your channel. Until your next historiography, stay gangster my friend.
Some say that one by one, from the fallout of the War in heaven, the Chaos gods had been born.
A tale of the biggest war the galaxy once known between Godlike against godlike races.
The one thing I find really funny is that 60 million years is more than enough time for a dozen dozen races to develop technology so far beyond the Necrons that it would be incomprehensible to them. I don't think GW really thought out just how long a gulf of time that is. Or the fact that the Orks and Eldar are still around and look exactly the same.and use the same technology as they always have? Natural evolution alone probably would have taken care of that too.
Not so sure with the Orks. They do differ quite a bit from the Krorks in mentality alone and yes, in physical features too.
Oh man, that finale.
Eldar #1: Hey, do you think we should tell that mouthy mon'keigh the Old Ones made them too?
Eldar #2: Nah, its too funny watching them worship a corpse xD
Except there is no evidence of the Old One's outright creating any species. It seems they were gardeners and not Gods. They influenced life and change as they saw fit. But it doesn't appear they created anything out of whole cloth, probably because it wasn't nectary. The galaxy was fertile enough to do it all on its own.
The righteous chapter, Guardians of the Covenant shall keep watch over the Segmentum Pacificus and bring holy fire and death to the Xenos. Glory to the Imperium and the Lion!
Helping that algorithm!
Why can't we all get together in the universe! Emperor would like us all to live in peace!
My people shackled the stars, and broke mortality when the species you sprang from had barely left the slime pools it spawned in. Our wars burned reality, and the dominion of our kings is without limit.
The ground you tread on, Imperial, is not yours; it is ours.
Gives a whole new meaning to Totalitarianism! xD
"gaze upon this!"
Interesting ending tone.... wasn't so upbeat and eager when it came to Tyranids, though - PS 5 sec pause between material and channel announcements would be nice ;)
Once again occulus takes lore videos to another level. Imma hit up your patreon with my meager funds. Buy some lunch on me bro :)
those cursed necrons are the undowers of us all, we must purge them with fire and steel and the power of the machine god!
Who is the artist of the ncrons of the art at 1:00 that is insanely good.
It took me a while, and I got lost checking out paintjobs a couple of times on the way, but that's the old 3rd ed Codex: Necrons cover by Karl Kopinski
I knew it was the codex art, but not who did it.
@@korstmahler thanks mate
AVE IMPERATOR!
Great writing & delivery! You should be working for GW.
All your work is glorious, but I require more Age of Sigmar! Please.
Working on part 3 of the Age of Myth as we speak!
@@OculusImperia you da best. Keep it up, chronicler
Recent fluff suggests the Nercon's are not as souless as once thought. That they or at least one, has an approximation of soul. Allowing for said Nercon to achieve Warp apotheosis, at least for a time.
It is suggested that before the Necron's rebelled against the C'tan, the remaining C'tan turn on one another in frenzy not seen before. So those C'tan that remained were to powerful for the others to consume. As well the C'tan's hunger was so great they could not form alliances amongst themselves to defeat a more powerful foe. As it seems neither C'tan could be trusted not to eat everything that remained of the loser. After this final feeding frenzy of the last of the C'tan, the C'tan that survived were wearer over all than they had ever been. Which was the moment the silent king struck.
Our Humble Scribe says that the Necrons don't register in the warp, so does that mean the Ruinous Powers are even aware of the Necrons? Are Necron skulls used to build the Skull Throne?
Ave Imperator!!
Fear Factory likes this.
