The Jenner will always have a special place in my heart, as it was my first introduction to the Battletech franchise, via the old school Mechwarrior 2 demo.
Yea I'm super glad the Jenner-K got the HSL quirk. Definitely makes it stand out from the D variant and brings it back into relevance! Essentially having a long range AC22 on a 3 second cool down is amazing especially considering the mobility of the mech.
Awesome finish on game one! I had just bought the JR7-K about a week before the HSL quirk got added. Built it as a support light, with 4 medium lasers, NARC and heavy with the Auxiliary skills. I want to build it out with the 4 light ppcs, but like you said, I also found it tough to get the cooling and engine size where I wanted. You made the build look like a ton of fun, but I may just keep it as a team-support, taking advantage of the bonus consumable and sensors. Love the content as always! Cheers
Great to see you still going Baradul! I don't know why or where went from my UA-cam suggestions, but it's good to see you again. Keep up the good work dude!
@Baradul I just built this same mech and I'm enjoying it a lot. Good games with it will get me somewhere between 450-700 damage total. I generally am abusing this mech 2 ways... 1. As you have shown, Alpha Strike with the Light PPCs... preferably in their back. It's great to just BLAMO! someone in the back and not have to be right on their rear to get max damage. Yes, it's only 22 dmg but people get scared when they see PPC effects aimed at their butts. This leads me to abuse #2... 2. SPAM the light PPCs. 5.5 damage a hit but it's not about the damage (but it still adds up). As I said previously, no one likes PPCs aimed at them, let alone fired, and with the heat management on this mech, you can chain fire these for a looooooooooong time. Even when the heat builds, you can get back to reasonable heat with a 3 pause. This attack pattern is more powerful than the damage it's putting out though. Playing canyon and you have a LRM boat popping around a corner to pop shots? SPAMPPC! and watch them duck and cover. Have 2-3 medium mechs trying to push around a corner SPAMPPC! and watch them retreat. Trying to draw fire away from your clanmates? SPAMPPC! Can't let a tiny mech with PPCs go unpunished. Need to convince the enemy that there are more mechs than just you on their flank? SPAMPPC! and turn heads, and torsos, away from your main force while they setup their firing line. This has been a game changer for a number of games and you still rack up the damage as long as your aim is good. I'm having way to much fun with this build. It's definitely become one of my go to machines.
@@tenchuu007 I hope so. The K is buffed to the gills now, the D (which also covers the Sarah’s) much less so. I’d love to continue running my Sarah’s (because F cancer, that’s why) but the K is just too much better at present.
When my Katana Kat got that quirk I was super happy. With usual Panther durability, 40% PPc Velocity, and heat+range quirks it's a great harasser. Although one has to balance between faster, jumpier, or cooler.
Makes me miss one of my MW4 builds a little - a Sunder flagcap design. Max reflective armor, max speed. Sucker went around 90-95kph. First time I used it, I followed in some lame-ass light mechs towards the heavily guarded flag (at least 3 75-100 ton mechs on guard duty). Light mech in front of me grabbed the flag, took all of 2 steps and then got riddled from 3 alpha strikes by 3 heavies, dying instantly. Stupid pilot cried out, "someone get the flag!" (remember, flag is inches from where it started here). Queue me: "I've got the flag!" Huge-ass Sunder trundles in, picks up the flag and jogs away with it to panicked cries of, "A Sunder has the flag!" I made it all the way back to the outskirts of my base, unsupported and taking heavy fire the whole way before finally succumbing to the fire from *at least* 3 mechs chasing me, probably more. Not my best design though. My best kill design was a Sunder loaded with 2 ER PPCs and 2 Gauss rifles. Could 2-shot any mech if you hit right. My aim was never *quite* there though, and I'd *always* just 3-shot anything I aimed at. Close enough in my book.
Maby ill be able to use my Jenner Oxide or my Hero Cicada for the first time in months. Oxide was a bad buy but that Cicada is a monster eith MRMs and med las
I prefer the UZL-BE or the PXH-1B if i'm running light ppc's. Belial is faster, more armor, more jumpjet range, better heat management, better velocity(which is nice for ppcs) when compared to the jenner. The Phoenix Hawk has worse heat management over the belial but it gains ECM, stealth armor & even higher ppc velocity whilst keeping about the same armor/speed & JJ duration. This build is a nice option if you have the Jenner-k though.
The best part of your comment is that it's awesome and hilarious. The second best part of your comment is that UA-cam included a "Translate to English" button underneath 🤣😂🤣
Raven 3L wonderful shotgun 3x er large lasers or MRM40 + small lasers. Best part you only need 1/2 of a mech. So I would stick to the Raven for that one reason.
@@sovietalex That was with stealth armor included. You can have MRM40 +small lasers and stealth armor if removing armor who is not vital. The Raven only need legs, center and a single side torso and a light engine. I've been trying to build a light MRM boat and the Raven 3L won by having stealth armor. The Raven 3L do not need to be faster because of the stealth armor. This saves lots of weight as the light mech do not need to have the crucial 130kph to avoid LRM to hit the legs. Mechs who are standing hold gets less hit on the legs and light mech have weak legs. The 2nd is the urbanmech but the 3rd is the javelin with an odd combination of lrm and MRM is able to defeat medium mechs by defensive stand volley lrms at range and finish with MRM. Right now I use the KITCAT-M What do you get when you combine a kitfox with C-atm?
i got back into MWO with that Javelin build you posted the other day (the revised changes you mentioned)..then though, what if there was a Light with lots of PPC's? weird you upload videos answering my questions, but, I like.
I don't think they have added any new mechs but there have been a LOT of balance changes over the last year. Weapon reworks, map redesigns, mech quirk balancing.

Roughneck pilot here. I rushed in to help Baradul and he left me there to die. :-D

i think i played the D with med lasers and NARC.
was fun NARCing everyone LOL
Good call going in on that second game. You allowed that comeback on you own !
You know Baradul is having a good time when he starts making Street Fighter references.
Jenner are my favorite Mech. I'm old school. I will need to play this more again.
Is it just me or were jenners tankier years ago

I love how you can tell Baradul is having so much fun regardless of whether he's winning or losing
Wow, a scout delivered as a scout! Awesome!
I like the low key rip. "hi mom" your mom says hi
Crab build!!!!
And this is great: I rarely see Jenners.
And HPG looks so different. Looks like a city.
Yeah I’ve been using a similar build on the special Jenner. 3 LPPCs, JJs, max engine size and speed tweaks makes it a monster Assassin and sniper.
A Jenner accounts for at least 3 Assault mech kills. That would have been sad if you hadn't won. Nice job!
Yeah, the hellbringer was being a pussy until the final part
Great to see you still going Baradul! I don't know why or where went from my UA-cam suggestions, but it's good to see you again. Keep up the good work dude!
You did really well in this video. Excellent work.
Cheers Bara, thanks for the video!
You made that second game. Nice come back.
That last match was AMAZING, I have never seen an Atlus turn around so fast in my life X'DDDD. They were just glad it was backup!

It was nice to hear Bara having such a good time in a game like the second one.
Been running this config on the Sarah's Jenner D(S) for a while now. Now with +1 LPPC HSL, the K does it better!
I wonder if Sarah's will get buffed.

@@gbprime2353 exact same reason I love running it.
17:37 Bara, don't call it a comeback, you've been here for years... :P
Ooooooo ppc's are my favourite and I always flank in games by myself. I clicked immediately. Been waiting for this.
great coaching on your part (in remembering the crits)
That second game was sheer madness
That was fun. I've been wary of trying to snipe from the sides, but you seem to make it work.

such a wild 2nd match, the best reason to play light mechs
Brilliant fighting, Bara
That second game was epic.

That second fight was good. :)
2nd game was amazing.
was it my bad eye sight or did your little mech out damage those 3 surviving mechs on the 2nd match?
The Hellbringer did 830 vs Bara's 759.
And given that that lance took out the entire team (except the kills Bara got) I would say they did their jobs.

Awesome sauce!
Hey Baradul, we used to play together in 228th IBR. Glad to see you still holding it down. You know what happened to the B33f?
12:18 Yea good luck trying to run from that disco ball.
Great video!
i got back into MWO with that Javelin build you posted the other day (the revised changes you mentioned)..then though, what if there was a Light with lots of PPC's?

i love these videos so much
I wonder how this compares to the Adder Prime, which is my favorite light mech, it runs with 2 ER PPC's
Oh. So this is why I saw like 8 of these yesterday. LOL
lol it just dawned on me , in its stock frame and coloration it reminds me of a Klingon Bird of Prey with Legs
...... that baiting title .... baradul you sneaky ....
Yoooo POWERFUL CHOICE
very nice
I like the new maps
dear me, Baradul actually putting weapons in the arms of a mech? what is going on here
This is what happens when Kitana Kat let's itself go 🤣
x__DD this first match....great, thanks to all!!!)))
What is with all the stealth urbies?
I swear it's waaaay easier to get stuck now than it was a month ago.
You can chain fire that thing all day!
That last match, when you asked where they were the whole match? They literally killed everyone except for Bara's kills
Good Times.
Boom
Can somebody who's tried this Jenner tell me how it compares to the loyalty reward urbie with JJs and the same load out?
Cool
Kind of new to battletech/mechwarrior, how can you carry 4 ppcs on a light mech?
He's using four light PPCs, not standard ones. As the name suggests, they're a lot lighter.
I love watching close matches like this. 12-0 steam roller fights are kinda boring.
I see the tiers are still super mixed... O_o XD
14:55 mark: if you ask the queston, you are already deadspot. i mark my point.
I dont know why consumables are worth it, I never found they made cbills. how does it make money?
havent played in a year. Anything intresting to grind for or so?
I don't think they have added any new mechs but there have been a LOT of balance changes over the last year. Weapon reworks, map redesigns, mech quirk balancing.
What's your fov setting?
GG! :P
Can those who are still in the game actually hear those who have already died?
Yes
GG
Lol, first gamesaver got 281 damage (2 kills) and won the game.
so sad they changed HPG. that was my favorite map
Nice, but you don't have to shoot all 4 PPCs all the time. You could have done a pair or chain 1 at a time when you were hot. That probably could have gotten you that light mech at the end.
Seems like people are getting stuck a lot more lately.
am famous.
on this markpoint. 3:40 minutemark. is it you in the beginning of online mechs. you are the 1 of first 1 mechs0w how shoots deadshot me? if so, i try to get a rematch with you. okay?
Meh, I feel like it infringes a bit much on the Panther KK's uniqueness with that hsl buff, honestly.
I'm not sure this mech is worth it. 35 tons of meh with none of the speed that makes it viable.
But it's sooo ugly!
