Nice educational experience there Stan. I can't believe a trout came off the bottom and was eyeballing your dry, crazy things happen in this world. I find it amazing how many dams there are in this world. I don't really support the idea of them, but I guess [we] owe a lot to the resulting tailwater fisheries they ultimately create. And, while not really a fan of RFK jr., (I know, politics, my bad!) but I kinda wouldn't mind if a few were removed, and I heard he's all for that goal. However, I wonder how the rivers and streams would be changed? It would be nice, however, to see them as they were at one time.
It's tough to get those mink on camera! Also, I've caught salmon below the Red Bridge dam. A little banged up and thin (all 3 over a few years), all went back. Keep an eye out for those pointy tails, almost easy to mistake for a rainbow if you've been on a few before the salmon! Nice footage, haven't been to that pumphouse leg of the Swift in decades!
I stumble all over that area and basically laid it out so people could know what they were getting into. Y POOL guys could end up in trouble down below if they aren't careful!

I 💯 agree. There are many on rivers that have seen their best days long ago...but tail races and plunge pools are helping our trout too...

As loud as the narrator is, I'm surprised that he ever catches a fish. It's a northeast thing.Been up there enough to know.
Ha!! I have other vids where I do but I thought the content was good enough for me not too as it was about showing and sharing the area.
