Absolutely insane that this was made in 2004. First madden I ever played was madden 11 and I thought it was the greatest thing ever but this completely blows it out of the water in terms of presentation. But even madden 11 looks like a God tier game compared to the BS EA has given us for the last decade specifically in the Brandon gaudin era. We’ve really gone from Chris Berman and this immersive and realistic halftime and postgame to Jonathan Coachman’s half assed effort at halftime and no post game show with some lame ass EMC music. I seriously hope the nfl doesn’t renew their license with EA because something needs to change im sick of not having a realistic football game. And it clearly can be done on a PS2. Can you imagine what it would look like on a PS5 if a company actually tried. All we can do is hope I guess.
right this game had so much potential but i have to say I had so much fun playing the old madden games and also nfl gameday. Ea got scared that 2k was rising and bought the exclusive license
@@archangelmusic13 If you're talking about 2k5, the ps2 version only showed pictures. However if you had the xbox version the highlights were shown during the sportscaster show, the halftime show, and the postgame show.
Shhheeesssshhhh this makes me sooo sad. I grew up as a young teen playing these games and loved the immersion so much. The ESPN tune jamming, Chris Boomer and with his recaps and trademark "he...could...go...all...the...way" catchphrase and his awesome WHOOOP's. It felt so authentic and really added to the quality of the game. Why EA does not recapture this is beyond me.

The highlights from other games is the immersion I need in madden man
This is the last time we saw something this great from an in-game or in-season breakdown
SEGA AND ESPN, good times on the PS2!
Why madden doesnt try and do stuff like it is beyond me. Would make it so much better
They did once in 2010.... it was actually pretty cool
@@Michaelmaddsiccwhat was it
this must be a mod, because this game doesnt show video during highlight shows, it only shows pictures.

I hope the new College Football 25 has in game highlights from other games, halftime show with highlights! Hell even Bill Walsh 92 did for Sega!
