You should ask them to make the food less spicy or mild, if you cannot tolerate the heat levels but still want to taste it. Dishes looked authentic like we get here.
Exactly! Me being Indian i say it first in every restaurant while placing order. I am also not good at handling chillies, but definitely not like Korbin 😂😂😂😂😂
Eating highly spicy food regularly could cause intestinal ulcers in the future, and acid reflux, which could turn into esophageal cancer after some years.
Korbin eats like e monkey.. with both hands, licking and all, with munching sound effects.. mmmms and aaahs.. just love it… he has come a long way from not touching food to this 🙏
Those are monitoring headphones to ensure camera is catching every mic sound. Imagine recording all this with one mic not working properly and not knowing till end of shooting
Great video since I'm going to try dosas for the first time soon too! I'm a Punjabi Pakistani, so I've only had what is the same as ours, North Indian food. Never tried South Indian, so I'm excited!!!!!
I'm not surprised when I saw the restaurant name... Give it to Chennai.. You will get some of the tastiest foods in Chennai.. The sambhar in Chennai or TN and Andhra are the BEST.. Also, the varieties of chutneys they offer.. coriander, mint, peanut, coconut, tomato, fish curry is best eaten with idly, dosas, appam.. is the best fulfilling breakfasts ever..
@@adiddevil it clearly means you didnt visited the south yet..I lived in North for a considerable amount of time and I know the tastes from either sides of the country..
@@Travel_With_Me-gr5ur was in Chennai at srm University for 4 yrs and MBA in kochi for 2 yrs MBA. It was different experience for me. South is definitely not bad. But the coconut oil for cooking everything was not to my liking. Also the taste , I didn't like.
@@adiddevil I bet not every households or restaurants in Chennai use coconut oils.. I can agree that coconuts are used in many dishes but not the coconut oil..Majority of them do not use coconut oil in their dishes in the whole of Tamil Nadu barring towns or villages near to Kerala. Coconut oils are used in Kerala dishes extensively..
@@Travel_With_Me-gr5ur I agree, for me best dish i has in Chennai was pepper chicken way back in 2005. So I don't know food evolution there now. But for me Delhi is melting pot of all Indian dishes.
First thing we do is fold the dosa in to fit the plate and pour the entire sambar over it. This creates parts of the dosa which are soggy and easy to eat while part of the dosa is still crispy. When you don't have much time to finish the dosa, you just soak it in the sambar and eat it quick
@@csbarathiI'm from Telugu States, and we don't eat that way either.. Sambar is not compulsory for us but chutney is a must.. We even have karampodi by the side
The waiters seem to be inexperienced or brainless, they should have given water at the beginning, instead of at the end. If they put any chiilies on top, they are totally stupid, they can see who their customer is. If possible, they should have made them extremely mild, by offering various spiciness. With the exception of a few, most Indian restaurants in US have waiters who have no idea how to wait on customers. Management needs to train them, instead of just putting a body. Some of these places maket it so spicy, even some Indians living abroad for long cannot eat. Oh yeh, bring a plate of Manchuria and not give a fork or toothpick. It helps a lot when we use our brains.
You guys have to dive deeper and eat more dishes like, parota with beef roast from Kerala, Appam and coconut milk from tamil nadu, bisi bele bath with kaara boondhi from Karnataka and Idli with chicken curry from Andra Pradesh. That's 4 different breakfasts from 4 southern states. And they are amazing.
Dosas are something we have regularly at home, but I have been craving for restaurant style masala dosa for sometime now. Watching this I ordered Rava onion Masala dosa post lunch 😅
The Rava Dosa (semolina added to batter) will be more popular as it is more crispy - esp when Americans are so obsessed with this texture of food thing😊. Also, the coconut would have helped Korbin, when there is no cold water to dip his tongue in😂 The Victory Blvd brought back fond memories - lived there in 2001-02 !
Great Video! Masala dosa is my favorite. Gobi Manchurian is also my favorite but definitely not a part of South Indian cuisine. @Ricksegall I would suggest you to bring Indrani to the restaurant. Gobi Manchurian doesn't agree with parceling, kind of loses its crispiness and flavor. Better to have it fresh and hot.
Dip rach piece in different side dishes like chutney sambar. Dont take a big piece and stuff into the mouth. Sometimes you may find it spicy. Next time order ghee madala dosai If you are wondering why Indians eat with hands and not forks it is because we can always keep our hands clean. Forks in a restaurant might have been used by many.
As soon as rick took Red Chutney by calling it Tomato sauce, I started laughing and was eager to watch the reaction. 🤣. 06:16 Yiiiieeew, You know how Sunscreen tastes.
Just checkout other manchurians if you can .. Paneer Manchurian, Chicken Manchurian, Mushroom Manchurian and veg ball manchurian. Uthappam even I cant eat with sambar and chutneys like peanut and coconut. Always it goes with vadacurry or kaara chutney. Else the non veg version of it is kari dosa.
reaction fantastic and funny dosa serving plate very small comparing to the plate used to serve in India that's why you ate dirt of the table along with dosa. there was no tissue paper kept on the table..that is the reason your fun went off the track. never mind in Indian restaurants these things are COMMON and considered as NORMAL 😀
First rule of eating desi food, is there are no rules. You can dip anything anywhere if it is served in the same platter, no one's gonna get offended trust me.
Please put huge scoops of chutney on your dosa and lao you should drink the sambar. Or best ask for a big bowl and mix dosas chutneys and sambar in the bowl and eat.
What should we try next?
Golgappe
watch the full movie of Maryan. Goated movie.
sorry misunderstood. You should try parottas south indian style.
Tamilnadu 's Banana leaf lunch ....
Poison 😂😂😂
An advice for korbin... You should have removed the chillies by hand from the uttapam if it's too hot... We usually do that if it feels too spicy 😅😅😅
He should've had a sip of mango lassi
Wud be terrific if that hand went to his eyes or nose
Korbin don't know the real hack...😂😂😂😂
Chillies give heat and is not a spice which gives taste but not heat.
So thing with chutneys. You don't just dip in it. You scoop a whole bunch of it. That's why they give you so much
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Idk man. I just like little chutney. I dont scoop it. Its based on preference.
@@solitudeking7939dip the flkout and eat once.. You won't regret.
