FRS needs to b a pure toyota. that motor will be the perfect combo of this light rwd car. I feel so close to say " ha! toyotas high performance 4 cylinder engines are back" better than ever
considering importing a 2016 crown athlete to australia which packs one of these under the hood can anyone confirm how well these take to mods and tuning? honestly i would be aiming for around 250kw at the wheels
I have recently tuned my IS300 and it's seems fairly good at it. There are rumors that the new Toyota 4.0 Turbo is just 2 8arfts mated at the crank, juts like their v12 was two jz engines mated at the crank. Moreover the 8arfts was designed and is currently manufactured by Yamaha so it should be extremely well Made
@@l5e2n9 thanks for the reply.. Funny l9okin bak on my 4YO comments.. I ended up importing a jzx100 chaser 😍. But who knows I would love a 2020 crown daily driver
@@valdius85 people seem to forget how much power engines were making in 'like for like' vehicles even 10-15years ago. A lot of these new cars are making more power than ever. The most disappointing thing is that manual gearboxes are on the way out.
Love this engine in my 21 rc. Gonna do exhaust and intake though as well as charge pipe and downpipe
This engine should also be used in the next corolla xrs in addition to the nx200t.

This engine should be in the new 86
I have this engine (IS200T) Decently powerful more then enough for street driving, very smooth and refined, but not efficient at all
In terms of fuel consumption? What's your mpg?
8AR-FTS perfect engine👏 Thank you Toyota!
I'm swapping this in my 240sx.
Who Has the adaptor plate in the works??? So it can connect to an e153.... my MR2 needs this technology.....

Put this engine in the Auris and make a hot hatch. And Scion iM
Future swap into an MRS... a 2200 lb car... I think yes. Maybe there will be some compatibility.
Lol not powerful, you got to hit that gas and hit 3.5 rpm to get it to 40 45mph
Great in a small car terrible for their nx... too weak.
It is good enough for an RX. Roads are not for racing!
