Line your gutter on the Inside with the reflective tape, run your LED Strip over the reflective tape and the power wire through one end cap. Nice idea, but I feel that it should have been made longer to give a bit more stability. Perhaps designed to hook over the ends of the tank. Also the wiring connection could have been done properly, and would have made it look a lot nicer.
The arowana will eventually end up dead in the floor, and since they can break through class canopies, electrocution is a very real possibility with the way you have chosen to just rest the light across the tank. gl!
The idea is good, but the execution is bad. The wire ends must be insulated (heat shrink tubing) and the connections soldered and insulated with heat shrink tubing. In addition, I test the function before I close the final.
It is an idea up on which every on can work to have their own DIY project. As the saying goes " I can feed food in your mouth, don't ask me to chew it for you though".
Muito boa a ideia vou fazer parecido vou apenas passa um fita preta em cima e nas laterais assim não ilumina o teto semente o aquário....muito obg pela idéia
That's what I did and used PVC guttering lined with aluminium insulation tape for the reflector. Plus you can use your phone with the app to program and adjust colour etc.
@@kevintango6567 LED lights DO generate a small amount of heat compared to other light sources. They Can burn out if it is not dissipated and the temperature gets too high
What about maintenance. What if the strip get fused. How should you replace the strip. Again hav to do all process by removing glass slab and replacing LED lights again to silicon it. Very hectic process.
all things people say aside, I just didn't like how you used silicone so little... if used black caulking to coat top and used it on sides... or used alminum/acrylic with epoxy. i may have liked more...
This is so wrong for so many reasons, first is there is no maintaince, secend led tend to get very hot ... and there is not a single way to cool it, third very unstable way to put it just on edges ... u could at least add 2 small peace of glass to make slots on bot ends, forth use some kind of reflecting sheet or at least some paint to ;pwer decepation of light ....etc etc etc
With no air flow LEDs get hot as hell. I wrapped a 16' length of rbg around 4' of metal tube inside a gutter for a canopy type light and they get so hot you can not touch them with air flow

hey what name of the led light he use?
Wt led light name
Nice DIY light but criminally small tank for an Arrowanna. This tank needs to be like 3 times it's current capacity for an Arrowanna.
The better you watch on 1.75x😂 xd

Does these LED stripes work for growth of basic plants?
Very nice sir I have plant aquarium
It’s totally pointless showing how to make this without giving links to where to buy the parts required.
Or replying to anyone...
Everything available on Amazon

As the saying goes " I can feed food in your mouth, don't ask me to chew it for you though".
Just look up led modules on ebay or similar sites. The rest is acrylic, plastic or glass. Your choice. And silicone.
Are the lights normal led white lights or specially we get lights fir aquariums ?
Where do we get these lights @..
Bagus kreatif👍...
Salam sukses...
So mach effort , money , time for what ?
The cost of that its way more than aquarium led from Ebay
The look ?
what’s the reason of all that ?
Why didn't you paint the glass from top and from sides with black colour. the light would not reflect outside, it will focus beneath only.
Correct

aluminum backing is more practical for dissipating the heat
i'm pretty sure there is no heat from led lighting

it's DC power

Nice idea, but not very safe for the arowana, if it jumps and taps that fixture, it'll probably get electrocuted, good luck buddy!
I purchased this type of led but they only last about a year to eighteen months then burn out but they are very bright and stick well
Very nich Bhai to Good

One LED not work, how to repair..??
Pretty good video. Potentially the worst music ever used on UA-cam
how do you calculate the watts...

LEDs tend not to get hot because they are so energy efficient. You get more heat from a regular light bulb.
