I also have the LoadPro... I like it. A test light is fine, but I've had cases where the test light did not light-up and when I used my LoadPro / Multimeter, it showed voltage. Once I hit the button, the voltage dropped off. With a test light you would think that the whole circuit was dead... with the loadpro you can tell that there is a bad connection.
Astra I am quite sure it's the Launch idiag it's basically 90% the pro tool from 2014 the diagun if you can get secondhand or any new pro tool. Idiag was discontinued and launch make crap cheap tools and change tools like if it was underwear. Alternative a full version gm tech2 I used it to programm the new ecu that car also needed. The pin code you can read with xtool it's in the ignition lock the eeprom if you need to read from there watch Lm auto repair.
there is a 26 ohm resister inside the tool to load the circuit you get a chart from dan sullivan with the tool as on a huge wire this load test can become invible to a test , dan sullivans book has all the info ohms law is the same for anyone. including the heaters of the load pro. . you could but cant do the same test with a test light a incondesent bulb is not a constant resistance just a visible aid as where this tool gives a voltage drop test via multimeter via ohms law.
Do you have to remove the (load) ie. a module? the tool is to test positive and negative. by loading the circuit So if the module is loading the circuit you load it some more to sea a voltage drop or non. and by knowing what voltage drop you should see or not see you know the positive side is fine. "but the module +- has low voltage then you know you have a ground side issue instantly by proofing the positive load did not drop.. its all in the book from mr sullivan. The book must be Read from first to last page its not a book to find a solution to a particular problem on a particular page.
simon sherwood FLIR one it's called comes for Android or iOS. I got my one from a Swiss electronic store. You should be able to find it in your country or with Google like I would say Amazon most likely will have a listing. I paid about 120$ us converted to USA money there is another thermal camera exovcds has that other one I think.

Thomas EXOVCDS yes its a time saver .
Nice job, the load pro is a very handy tool, I use mine all the time.
Thanks
I like my LoadPro also. What was the bidirectional laptop software you were using?

Can you test and load fuses? Do you have to remove the (load) ie. a module?

Where did you get the flir gadget from

U could habe just send 12 volts yo the clutch.
@@hayguey7952 I used the loadpro to check the wiring is ok load testing as putting power to the clutch won't test the wires.
