I'm 67 years old, learned something new today from you.... You are very talented and I can't wait to see more of your work....great job.
Yeah, me too.😊 And just subscriber too.
Same for me! I've been crocheting for 40-some years & didn't think I could learn anything new, but I just did! Can't wait to see more from you!! And I just subscribed, too!
I'm 69 and happy to find
Ok, I thought I was the only one learning...I am a 62 yo grandpa and wanted to make something for the upcoming holiday season. Crocheting a beanie for my daughter sounded like a more precious gift than just going oiut and buying things for the family. Came across this video and the author showed it precisely the way I like it, step by step, visually showing me what she is doing, and actually making it so easy for me to follow. I am not a craftsman so this presentation was spot on and easy to follow. Thank you very much for providing this and now I am a subscriber also because I can see more projects for the family to receive and enjoy!!
That's great you can learn crochet at any time if life.Happy crocheting to you
row 1: chain 44 (or however long you need), insert st marker at the 8th st (for when to sc)
row 2: chain 2 (turning chains) and hdc blo into 3rd chain from hook, hdc blo (36) until you have 8 st left (or meet marker), 8 sc blo
row 3: chain 1, turn work, 8 sc blo, hdc blo until end of st
repeat rows 2 and 3 for 52 rows (or as needed) remembering to always build hdc on top of hdc, and sc on top of sc
completing: chain one and cut, sl knot to end
connecting the hat:
put ends together, insert hook onto on blo and the other full st, grab yarn to pull through both st's
incorporate tail into work, doing sc's (insert, yo, yo pull through 2)
leaving hook in, cut yarn and sl knot to end, tie both lose tails together. (DONT CUT THE TAILS)
cinching the top:
starting where tails are, go in-between each row with yarn and pull through tightly at the end. tie tight double knot with lose tails again (STILL DONT CUT TAILS)
take tails and make x's with the tail pulling tight each time to secure top. double or triple knot and cut a little short, turn hat inside out, and done! ~
-- hopefully this helps, I do easier reading and then watching as well, just me 😅 let me know if I messed up any rows! thank you so much for this pattern! Its my new crochet obsession! lol! --
THANK YOU!!

Also I gotta say that your entire channel is so well designed, GREAT taste in fonts
ahhh thank you so much 🥹🫶
You are an amazing communicator and teacher! Your videos are so very clear. The camera angles are close enough to see what you are doing and you move slowly enough the first few times you do something to make it easy to catch on. Your work is also very consistent but I can't get over how young you are and yet, such an incredible teacher! I am sincerely impressed. Thank you!
you are so sweet 🥹 thank you!!!!
Love this liz! Can't wait to make a hat!
OMG SHOW ME IF YOU MAKE IT ❤️

This is the most helpful tutorial I have found as a beginner! You should make more, you're a great teacher! I feel like I can make anything as long as you teach it lol
Thank you so much! Not sure how to attach the picture but it came out great!
I did it! It's beautiful and easy! Thank you! Beanies have been an issue for me.😂
omg !! i’ve been wanting to crochet a beanie and the pink one looks exactly like one harry styles has😭😭 tysm
If you use a scrap of yarn you can use that as a marker and either leave it for now, carry it move it up as you're going, and ultimately just pull it out when you're done.
You can also use latch hook length ones as both spacers and or counters for when you have to start a really long chain and need to either count or keep your loops consistently right enough while also lose enough that it doesn't all pucker and bunch or just get way loose or tight at certain spots.
I do that when I need to put something on perpendicular or float a chain of an end that I'll need to turn around and whatnot.
Well done! Easy to follow for an early-crocheter. May I suggest that instead of cutting your yarn at the end of your last row that you just use your same working yarn to SC your seam together? I would eliminate the extra "sewing ends in" and also eliminate a knot at that spot. Just slip stitch the two sides together to connect them, chain 1, and then go into that same first stitch to begin your join.
You can then use that same working yarn to do the closure stitching at the top. Just cut a long length after you get the seam finished, pull it through your last loop to knot off the seam, and then do the in and out weaving as you have shown. Hope that helps, and keep on crocheting, young lady! (PS I have 62 years under my belt [I was 12 when I taught myself] but always love watching for new approaches ;) )
These hats make a wonderful donation to your local cancer center for chemo patients or to your local children's services organization for foster kids.
Thank you for the tip! 🥰
Love it! I really like mine! :)
So beautiful 😍
Very good at giving instructions. New sub here. Thank you.

How long did it take you?
@@naomycook2712 it took me about 6-7 hours, im still fairly new to crochet so im not that fast
VERY GOOD TEACHER 👌GOD BLESS YOU 🙏💐
Thank you!
❤Thanks you so much. God bless you
MASHA ALLAH thank you very much for sharing.
Thank you so much
I really like your video. I know a lot of people don't like music in the background. I am not one of those people.
Your selection of music is so calm and soothing. You have a nice voice to go along with the beautiful music.
May you have much success and I look forward to more of your videos. Thank you
Thank you so much for this video! I'm a beginner, and I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do this because the only full project I'd completed before this was a small scarf; but your instructions were perfectly thorough and I was able to follow along and finish my own hat! I can't wait to see what content you produce in the future, and I admire your talent! :)
You’re so sweet 😭 thank you!
I made this for my mom and she LOVED ITTTT!!! This is really one of the easiest beanie pattern I found so thank you so much!!! I might make one for myself too tbh🤭
I made a cute beanie using only your tutorial and it was my first time crocheting ~ I wish I could show you:( btw thank you so much for this helpful video ^_^
Already starting this and it's blue can't wait how it'll turn out 🥰
Mine is blue too!
@@Inkymarkergg did you finished yours too?
@@monicaant.1422 Yes!
Thank you been doing hats. Can't do a magic ring no matter how hard I try love your easy Bennie! Beautiful ❤️ great job
okay off topic but i love that we use the same hooks. ik a lot of people recommend more ergonomic hooks and whatever but i like my silly little wooden handled hooks, they look nice
they’re my favorite!!!
hii i just finished making my beanie it turned out a little wonky but it's still pretty cute ! imma try making another one and I'm hoping it turns out better than my first one LOL
I love the stripes. You make it seem so easy. I am gathering up easy, and useful crochet patters to put a hole in my stash box. I have been thinking beañies would be a way to go. There are several shelters near by that could pass them out this winter. Now I need to find a simple scarf pattern. I am sure a talented person is out there somewhere. I crochet (50)+ years but I have to have a pattern. I've tried but it doesn't work out for me. Thanks.
I just finished and it came out great! Just in time for Christmas! I did purple and black, two rows of each. Only thing I struggled with was picking out all the dog hair lol
ive seen people use a lint roller on their work before
Hi, very happy you show me how to make a beanie. Could you please also show how to make a slouchy beanie? Thank you so much! 💕✨
Hey love! So you'll just want to adjust the length of the starting chain to be longer, you can do this by measuring the string against your head like she did in the beginning, and then add maybe an inch of length or so to the starting chain so the overall beanie will be longer, giving you that slouch look. Hope this helps!
my bigass head needed 64 rows hahah but thank u for this easy beanie! I had to add extra rows when i sewed it together though, because it turned out to be too short
Can you plz do a balaclava video ? Your tutorials are the best 💛💛
우와 비니가 넘 귀여워요❤ 그리고 당신도요!
Thanks for this tutorial! I'm always amazed by how many different ways you can make a hat but this is one of my favourite techniques. Do you by any chance know how to make the colour change horizontal instead of vertical or is it not possible with this method?
Yes! You could do the hat horizontally-your initial row of chains would need to be long enough to wrap around your head, and then just work rows vertically until it’s long enough to close at the crown of your head! Basically just the opposite of what I showed
ım writing from turkiye, ı want to just say youre amazing ıloveyou and thank ypu
hi,thank you so much for te tutorial. What colour would you use to top off a multicolor beanie so it is seemless.
Hi l really enjoyed your video looking forward to seeing more of your work 🧶🪡
amazing tutorial! im just a little worried itll be too small for my head. i did 44 foundation chains, but when i put it against my head, where should the other end (at the back of my head) be ? at the end of my hairline or like further back?? 😭
Nice piece ❤ dear... would a pom pom do for this project?
I messed up :( the side that is supposed to be on the outside I sowed to be the inside so my beanie looks a little funky. Atleast it's done for a first time project. I am proud but the perfectionist in me is killing me!
❤
Do you have a tutorial for the double crochet one?
If I made this but used a double crochet for the main portion, would I use a half double crochet for the crown of the beanie, or still use a single crochet for the crown portion?
Your so pretty
if the brim or the folded part of the hat were to be a different color, how would you go about that? i wanted to do a two tone sort of situation but i’ve never made a beanie before 🙈
Hi! When you are finishing the hat, just before connecting the top, how are you finishing the hat with two colors? I do a regular slip knot for the working yarn, but I'm not sure for the not working yarn. Thank you!
Hi!! Thank you for this tutorial as it is really helpful! I have a question though. Why did you chain 2 the first time you changed colour to pink, but chained 1 the rest of the beanie? Thank you♥️
