it sucks that most of the tasters didnt mix the halo halo. you judged the food before you ate it. the essence of the halo halo is to mix it so you would have the fullness of the flavor. hence the name "halo halo" which in english means "MIX MIX ". the only one that truly appreciated the halo halo is the one that mixed it, the way that it should have been. good food review, but the halo halo part threw me off. and also the suman was missing the most essential part, the sugar, also should have been better if mentioned that it is a coffee/tea partner. im a proud filipino canadian. and would love videos like this. but i having a more daring food tasters/reviewers and taking the risk of tasting the whole food the way it should be eaten is more appealing and appreciated.

It beats the purpose of halo halo if you dont mix it. the word "Halo-Halo" roughly translate to "Mix Mix" . if you are just going to eat the ice cream part then you are better off eating an ice cream than halo halo. the reason its mixed is because there is actually a sweet but unique taste when you mix milk, sugar, jack fruit, coconut, pinipig to add a bit of crunch, and ice because its cool and halo halo was meant to be eaten on summer.
Chowking Halo Halo is sweeter than regular halohalo coz they use sweetened milk (probably simple syrup plus evap). The ones you buy on the streets or in a carenderia uses evap and granulated sugar. And Chowking is the first (if not one of the first) to put ube ice cream on it. Normal ones just have ube halea (which sometimes they cheat with purple sweet potato coz yam is more expensive but you can taste the difference).

I do respect their opinion if they don't entirely like Filipino food cause filipino food is actually an acquired taste. Loved the video, though. Ps. A real halo halo does not have ice cream on top of it.
Well done! For me I don’t eat lumpia dipped in vinegar and vegetables inside. I’m not also a fan of suman. I don’t mix halo-halo. It really depends on the person how to eat food but we all know there are etiquettes in some culture how to eat their food. But I liked this video. Very true. Good thing you made this video not to please Filipino people but to try the dishes we have to offer. To all Filipino people who’s annoyed because some of them didn’t like the food, ask yourself if you try eat foreign food. Let’s see if you like all of it For sure you’ll have a bad comment too
Oh my! You got Chowking's Halo-Halo! Their version is more delicious than Jollibee's! Bcos they use coconut milk instead of milk and real beans, sweetened babana and langka, leche flan, and many more 'toppings' -- almost the special Halo-halo you can buy in Phils. And yes, that Lechon sauce (and I saw, that it's Mang Tomas) it's mixture of innards, garlic, something sweet and vinegar so it can be use longer.

Your judging their taste too. They can eat it in any way they want because they aren’t even Filipino. Secondly, “do not judge our taste” before that can you respect their opinion please. Everyone has different styles.
I just realized something... Filipinos are used to making our own dipping sauces, like soy sauce with vinegar or calamansi with or without chili, etc. And that's what makes our food delicious, because they're customizable to fit our liking. Even adobo has several different versions. Who knows what these guys got. Also, most probably they don't know the right proportions for condiments so they don't appreciate it as much as we do.
