They weren't stalking anything but the elk. They caught sight and scent of the hunters and took notice, nuthin' else. There's no dilemma with wolves in Wyoming by and large. Elk are plentiful and more healthy overall due to wolves. Wolves hunted elk long before man. Wolf attacks on humans is incredibly rare. I've hunted Montana and Idaho for decades and have seen plenty of wolves - always a thrill. I've even had them backtrack my trail a couple of times. All the wolves were doing was checking me out. Yea, wolves, bears, and lions due get the jump on game sometimes at the expense a hunter. Chalk it up to nature. The western mountains would be hollow places without wolves.
Elk are healthier, you mean herds of ten thousand now down to a few hundred, I live right in the middle of this bull crap, elk herds are healthier my ass there almost gone.
Good footage. If you have ever been circled by a pack.....you know the feeling of real fear. You walk they walk, you stop they stop, and their calls to each other is awesome but quiet scary. You want to run but know not to. When you get back to your car...…...you hug it like a long lost friend
@@johnnylinfield3809 I was on a fossil dig, my fault for not knowing the area. Actually I wasn't supposed to even be out there. I was on vacation so I thought...why not check it out. In the mountains, off the beaten path, over a mile from the car (because of rough rocky stuff), no phone reception, all and all, it was stupidity on my part. Granted the pack was beautiful, but their home area and I was in it. When I got back to my motel I was telling someone about my encounter and they said "So you saw the Glee pack. Still 12 in it ?" Told him I honestly didn't know. All I saw was 4, but could hear others in the distance. No, no gun. Just my air horn, pepper spray and my tools in the duffel bag.
Predators have a very valuable place in nature. Unfortunately, today, many hunters are not really hunters. A true hunter, is a husband to the woods, kills to provide meat and protection for his people, while also protecting the animals. Many that kill today, do so for the thrill and trophy. They purposely kill the strongest and largest of the game, then complain that the herd is getting smaller. Predators on the other hand, take the weak and sometimes the young. The herd will then grow lager and stronger. I challenge any who read this, to become hunters. 1) Learn how to navigate, in and out of the woods, without using ribbons or blazes. 2) Learn to survive in the woods for 2 to 3 nights. ( a buddy is great for this ). 3) Do not use baits or blinds, learn the joys and skills of still hunting. 4) Limit your kills to 20 - 50 yrds and shoot at no running animal. Process your own meat and share it with pride. These things are all skills to be proud of, they can shared and passed on, they will also help insure we will always have a lifestyle to enjoy. Hunting is not a sport but a lifestyle. Thoughts from a 56 year old hunter. P.s Those wolves were not "Stalking" you. They were just curios as to whom was in their territory, giving you once over.
You should feel privileged to witness such a wonderful show of nature doing what it does best, preserving the best breeding stock. This has been going for thousands of years with out man's interference.
I can explain that to you; they destroyed the country because americans have always felt self-entitled. They destroy the country because wolves kill elk and other wildlife hunters enjoy killing for their "sport". If hunters cannot hunt that´s not fair. That is the logic behind why wolves are bad..... The only legitimate anti-wolf excuse are farmers who do not get compensated by the government for cattle/livestock killed by wolves. This is governments fault. In this case wolves have ruined some farmers, and that is fair to say it destroys the country for farmers as those farmers can fairly argue they are losing their rights to make a living and to support their families..... Lastly, coyotes have always killed more livestock than wolves have. It was proven in the 1970´s that where wolves exists, the coyote population is smaller, therefore less farmers livestock is killed.... So if you put all the 3 above facts together, wolves bring more benefits than negatives to everyone.
Instead of enjoying that special moment, feeling blessed to witness a display of nature as it best, as it should be, as it was meant to be and done so for hundred of thousand of years in North America, these dude(s) understand nothing; not nature, not their whereabouts, their moment and place in time, or the privilege, they had been part of as a rare and great gift. Not wolves, or predators in general, destroy nature ("the country"), but people without a clue, with the urge to kill (often times for trophy and for the compensation of the lack of appropriate man-hood only) everything perceived as "competitor". Where wolves had been re-introduced, nature everywhere made a great comeback, many extinct species suddenly were seen again, rivers and lakes improved water qualities improved, plants re-cultivated formerly barren and depleted areas. These are just a few of many positive examples, that especially wolves help tremendously to restore the balance of natural environments and habitats. Go and attend an environmental seminar at your local community college, or wildlife education center. Your local hunting instructor doesn't qualify here!! Henceforth make sure, it's NOT sponsored by big oil industries, land- and housing developers, their lobbyists, or orange Mr. T. himself, because they have not nature and wildlife on their mind in a positive sense, but all destruction and the sell out of even the last pristine wildlife areas to the highest bidders for the fast, reckless buck.
"unicorn" again! Anyway, those who know, know that wolves mainly hunt the sick, infirm and old animals. This is why biologists and other wildlife managers and wildife experts calling wolves - among other species - part of "nature's own health service". If you don't know this, what do you know, after all? Seriously, ask yourself, better, acquire some knowledge - it's a beautiful thing.
Part of natures own health service? Health service service has nothing to do with it. It's a slaughter out there my little pony. Get out of SanFran and in the woods off your unicorn and get some knowledge. Not liberal knowledge. The real kind of knowledge. Watch a pack of wolves wait for cow elk to drop their calves, when there the most vulnerable, kill the cow and use the new born calf as a teaching tool. Please tell me how that culls the weak and the old. Its mass slaughter. I say kill all the illegally planted Canadian wolves NOW!!!
Chris The wolves don't give birth to rivers and grassland. That's all hoax. No, darwinism don't really work at all. Only your fake city classes meant for the city dummies.
The bears and the elk are just fine, but since the wolves are ruining their stupid hunting trip....the wolves are the "bastards". Pick up a book, fellas!
Wolves are cool as hell.... they weren't stalking you, they came over to apologize to you for fucking up your hunt. Lmao. Actually, they were most likely interested in your HORSES.
Does the word - HORSES - that you are riding, rings a bell into those wolf-hating little brains ??? They were interested on your horses (only thing holding them there) but clearly afraid of you humans - That is not being stalked by wolves, that is - Wolves stalked our horses, and actually they did not start the hunt, followed for long or went to flank you, so stalking is not very well applied either, even thowards the horses
Wow ! I was sure they'd get an elk. Their a large pack. Then I thought well you probably have a fire arm of some kind and plenty of trees if needed .THEN I saw horse ears. That changed their focus. That horse was WELL trained !! 😨. No wonder that grizzly was climbing high and to the right.
Fun fact, wolves actually fail about 80% of their hunts. Based on how much snow was on the ground and how the elk weren't that paniced, it was more likely that they would fail.
Love how he hates on wolves for doing the same thing he wants to do.......leave Britney....when I mean Wolves alone, leave them alone! ( sob sob) ( mascara running down my face)........(sob) leave them alone!
Yep! Great video on wolf pack working as one, and nature as it should be. What this dude fails to comprehend is that, "he", is not the entitled one out there! Wolves were here loooooong before any of our sorry asses were and they are indicative of a healthy forest
These are Canadian grey wolves. They are not indigenous to the U.S. They don't belong here. They have decimated the elk and moose population in Wyoming. People should know what they're talking about when they make such pious statements.
@@danielbarker3459 that's cause the early Europeans decimated the wolves in this country, this is north America, they cross Canadian and US borders, maybe you should know what ur talking about when you make such a pious statement
Well, here is a lesson for you. Man single handedly killed most of the bison across this great land. They slaughtered millions taking their fur and leaving the carcasses to rot as far as the eye could see. Man almost destroyed the elephant for their ivory tusks, leaving the carcasses to rot. Now go talk about how the wolves leave meat to rot. They could hunt like they do for hundred of years and never come close to what we do. Man has long been the best destroyer of every animal on this planet.
In Idaho they went to Court to find a way to eliminate some of the wolf,s,after a long day of talk the Judge said what if we catch the male,s and cut the ball,s of, and the dud in the rear of the court room scream Judge you just don,t get it, the wolf,s don,t screw the Sheep,s they kill em.
You can't reason with stupid, it goes to the bone. I was in BC years ago with an outfitter that was paid to catch wolves for restocking the lower 48. He told us (wife & I), that if we saw a wolf, we better do our best to give it lead poison.. I told him I had no problem and if the oppertunity presented itself, I'd do my best.. Didnt get the oppertunity then but took a nice Artic Wolf on a hunt in NWT. He ask how stupid were the people that want them back? He said the wolves that we restocked, aren't what was here. Those are bigger, meaner, kill for fun and kill everything & anything it comes across. I told him it's the huggers that live in concrete towers and cluster homes that think they know what's best for people 1000 miles away.. All the car exhaust and not being out in nature dumbs them down,, makes them think they have the right to tell others what's best for them. Doesn't matter they themselves are clueless about what they think, they know. Same or most huggers are the ones that do not want us to own firearms. Gun violance! WTF is that? Not 1 of my firearms is violent, not 1. But I can become violent if some stupid SOB tries to take it or anything else from me or tries to harm my family. But your reply to th the DA is spot on & you're not alone.
@The Most Illusive Man Put your thinking cap on dummy... He was saying the wolves have every right to hunt there. That's their home. Those hunters are in their territory. Smh....
@@NRALifer1 Idiot. You don't know what you're talking about. You have no clue... There is a responsibility we owe to nature. If not in balance, other animals suffer. The wolves help that balance. But with love and understanding of nature. I also work with wolves. And have a wolfdog. They are not the monsters you are making them out to be. Btw, I live in Michigan. I have a question. Sorry for my average English. Does a wolf or a pack ever killed a human officially ? In U.S. or around the world ? Like a tiger did or a bear ? It’s just interesting I never read about it. Can anyone give me official numbers or something ? Thank you very much

A Wulfe No I'm sorry but you are letting your emotions rule your brain. Do the studying the wolf's have wiped out the moose in certain parts of Wyoming, and are now devastating the elk. I agree wolfs take down the weak and sick but they also kill for fun. So that means you want the elk and the moose and deer to be killed of but protect the wolf.
I used to hunt until i got sick of the 95% POS people that have no respect for nature period. The land should remain wild and if you think there is a big bad wolf then what, kill them all?
People are so uneducated! I'm an expert in wolf behavior, wolf rehabilitation in captivity, rehabilitation and release, and I work at a wolf Sanctuary. I've encountered countless wolves in the wild and spent countless hours inside wolf enclosures. I've been able to earn WILD WOLVES trust hours after coming into the Sanctuary and touch them as if they were a household pet. I respect wolves in the wild and don't attempt to get close ONLY because I don't want to be responsible for any wolf trusting any human. WOLVES ARE NOT MAN EATING BEAST! THEY DO NOT STALK PEOPLE! They may be curious and want to know what's around a den but they are NOT the evil animal ignorant people make them out to be. Yellowstone is a perfect example of what happens when humans try to play God and decide a top predator should be wiped of the face of the earth! NOT JUST WOLVES BUT ALL APEX PREDATORS ARE ABSOLUTELY VITAL TO OUR ECO SYSTEM! Anyone that says otherwise is straight up an ignorant fool who needs to educate themselves. #2 People who hunt and kill wolves are cowards who are afraid of what they don't understand. Sometimes I really do wish wolves would attack hunters especially. Or at least chace them down the same way people do them. Or rip babies and children from them, the same way hunters do thier pups. PEOPLE NEED TO EDUCATE THEMSELVES! I agree to hunting DURING LEGAL HUNTING SEASONS. BUT ANY HUNTER CAUGHT CHASING A WOLF DOWN ON A QUAD OR SNOWMOBILE, KILLING PUPS, NURSING FEMALES, USES TRAPS OR OUTSIDE OF HUNTING SEASON SHOULD BE PUT IN JAIL FOR A LONG TIME. COWARDS. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. All you people who don't agree or admit you don't know anything about this amazing beautiful animal and how they care for each other in the pack.... I strongly suggest you educate yourselves by visiting any Wolf Sanctuary. Especially ones that let you truly experience them up close. I've seen thousands of hardcore hunters and farmers completely change after experiencing my wolves.
ANNOUNCMENT, To all you wolf lovers. Take a little while and investigate what the wolves did to cattle, sheep and game in N.E. Oregon recently. Also what do you think a calf bovine, sheep, elk, moose. deer, or someones pet feels when wolves are tearing it apart and eating it while it's still alive, oh yeah I imagine an adult animal feels about the same. ..And if you think wolves won't attack a human check what happen several years ago near Grangeville, Idaho to a houndsman and his bear dogs. By the way they were just running the bears not killing them. While you're at it check with the Idaho Fish and Game and inquire about the elk herd in the Selway Bitterroot area of east central Idaho a couple years ago.
wolves killed sheep and cattle!!! oh dear!!! alert the media!!! no shit sherlock!!! and no wolves dont attack humans, not unless you have a fucking dog with you and your covered with deer scent. wolves are the apex predator and keep the ecosystem in check. the best hunting happens where wolves hunt too. If you're going to complain about wolves killing game then you have no right to compete for that game yourself because you're just a piece of shit. You don't think you can outhunt a wolf? Then give it up pal because you are pathetic. Alaska hunting is the best, the game is the best, the whole fucking state is pristine, and the wolves help keep it that way. Go fuck yourself

It's a nice place to visit, and most of the suburbs seem nice I believe. I live in northern Wisconsin brother. And since you're from Chicago, I imagine you've been to Northern Wisconsin. Because everyone from Chicago either owns, or knows someone that owns land, or a cottage up in northern Wisconsin. So here's the deal my friend, I'm taking it in both ends. You only have to deal with the people in Chicago. I have to deal with the people of Chicago on vacation 12 months a year, plus the wolves in northern Wisconsin. I just want to mention, at first I didn't really consider your debate relevant to the wolf topic. I mean, I understood where you point was going, but until I really thought about it I didn't see a point in answering you back. But I will give you this, they have two things in common. It's illegal to shoot both humans and wolves, and they both are overpopulated, and need to be managed. So, I can relate with your problem I have the same one. 💪✌
It's our responsibility as hunters and conservationist to help manage the predictor population, or we will have no ungulates left, our governments are not doing enough to manage this problem and it's a big problem. Trapping is not enough, populations of wolves have exploded , logging roads, quad trails, snowmobile trails have all opened up these areas to predators . In Alberta and BC they are decimating our herds of elk, deer, caribou, moose and everything else, us as hunters have to help clean up this issue cause very soon it will be to late.
Doesn't it sound like the real problem is all the snow mobilers and loggers making trails for the wolves then? The elk have the advantage in deeper snow, if people are packing trails maybe we should make more of an effort to stop before deciding to "cull" an innocent creature
Sounds like people are really angry. I don’t hunt anymore but have been interested in the wolf / eastern coyote situation. In 1830 the West was vast, wild and with herds of Buffalo so large that it took a day for them to pass. Now the West appears vast but I see a problem. Coyotes are able to adapt to living in suburban areas. I hear some stories of them becoming aggressive, ( habituated) losing some of the fear of man. But wolves are a whole different story. They are apex predators along with the grizzly. It sounds to be that the wolf populations are out of control. You have to control this animal. They need big game. It takes a lot of meat to fuel a 110 pound wolf. What happens if the elk, moose, deer are all decimated, which could happen. Then what? It will take a hell of a lot of rabbits to fuel that gang. I love natural history. I think wolves are ok in the same way killer whales are ok. Both social, cooperative and carnivorous, although pods of whales will specialize in either mammals and others fish. Wolves ,well what I wonder why wolves are coming back, not only here but in Europe as well. I guess there’s something regal about them that people love them. Nature is nature but it bothers me just a little when I see wolves ripping the guts out of a deer or sheep and start eating them alive. I accept that but it is not majestic to me. And why do wolves kill 73 sheep in one night? Sport Killing? It is not 1830 when the West was so vast and wild that there was a “ balance” of nature. Ecology. Every thing has an effect on every thing else and nature becomes you might say in homeostasis. It’s now 2018, you cant have potentially dangerous animals running around raising hell through no fault of there own. Man has affected this balance. Fortunately, we had leaders like Teddy Roosevelt, who recognized the need for conservation of wild land and established Yellowstone. Wolves, while part of the ecological pattern, unfortunately get themselves in trouble. My friend was attacked by 6 wolves while on guard in Alaska. He did have an M14 with a mag of 7.62. He said he killed 3 and was scared shitless. It was a hard winter and the Army warned them about aggressive wolves. There it is. I will end my book here and I hope everything turns out for everybody. Don’t want to see a child attacked . This is my opinion from Pennsylvania.
Was this Sunlight Basin, off Chief Joseph Highway? Just says "sunlight mountains", so I'm curious. I mule deer hunted up on Sunlight Basin area back in the late 80's and throughout the 90's... Don't think I'd go back on a bet now with the GRIZ and the wolves taken over......
Grizzly and wolves all over but plenty of elk mule deer, bighorn etc still there. Had a big bull moose walk right through camp. Less elk moose more predators but a good balance other than all the people on atvs and side by sides Joy riding constantly on the road.
Really rare for wolves to not fear humans so much. In that case you need to put that fear into them. They are smart and learn quick. Couple shots over thier heads would do it. Next time they might ambush yall when its dark. Just ask Glen Vellenew about an encounter similar to this.
Im glad to see how many where in the pack. How bitchen ,there doing good. Un like the people that where going to hunt just the big male elk. That packs going to grab the weakest elk of the heard. Cool footage. I have yet to see Wyoming wolves, but the time will come I'm sure. Came across a dead, unconsumed female elk up near the Green River Lakes a few weeks back. Told an outfitter about it and he said it had to be a fresh wolf kill, that they'll kill for no apparent reason. I'm guessing that the wolves in your video may've been some of the ones illegally introduced in the U.S. from Canada. "The Canadian Gray Wolf, introduced into Yellowstone Park by USFWS 18 years ago, is widely described in scientific literature as thirty to fifty percent larger than the said-to-be extinct local native timber wolf. The initial 14 and subsequent transplanted wolves were captured in Canada, although wolves that were more genetically similar were available from surplus populations in Minnesota, as reveal-ed by the Smithsonian Institution, in a scholarly work titled: Physiological Basis for Establishing a Northern Rocky Mountain DPS [Distinct Population Segment Area]. The importation of Canadian Gray Wolves was criticized at the time by American biologists who believed the larger wolves would kill more elk, a position many now say has proved correct, and that the introduction of a non-native sub-species was of questionable legality when the smaller-sized native populations were beginning to recover naturally, on their own, positions similar to those advanced by the Farm Bureau’s of Idaho, Wyoming and Montana." @@jimbojohnson8196 Nope. I was reading about the elk that were introduced into northern Wisconsin as dinner for the wolves that have also been invited into northern Wisconsin. But the rest just sits there and rots or is eaten by scavengers of various sorts. THAT is killing for pleasure as they are not eating what they kill.

Well, you hunters exterminated or nearly exterminated a lot of animals. Interesting, isn't it, that the elk and the caribou were gone out of Maine at about the same time that the wolves disappeared. That was more than one hundred years ago. And NONE of that was because of fences, or cars, etc., it was 100% due to hunting. Your sons go around with their bb guns and kill every bird they see, and don't tell me they don't, because I've lived in the country and I know. Then when they get real rifles, they kill squirrels, rabbits, and lots of other things, even knew one "man" who killed an owl and bragged about it, without ever eating them, they just kill for killing's sake. Read the comments in this section if you don't believe it. I saw all the bears in my neck of the woods in Maine get annihilated in two years by hunters coming from as far away as West Virginia and Minnesota. Whereas we used to be able to enjoy the bears, there were none, not a single one to be found, for at least three years after, when i left. And you hunters and ranchers damn near exterminated our national symbol, the Bald Eagle, at least within our national borders. And look at the passenger pigeon and the American bison. The passenger pigeon (really a dove) is gone forever and the bison was down to about 200 remaining animals due to hunting. Whereas before they had stretched from horizon to horizon. Environmentalists have done SO much more than you hunters. If it weren't for them, there would be tens of millions more acres of clear cuts, and you'd see condominiums clinging to the sides of every cliff in the Grand Canyon. You hunters are like those pedophiles who "grow their own." You breed like cockroaches and raise litters of garbage like yourselves, and your license fees from all over the country combined don't begin to cover the cost of one the wildfires you've caused. By the way, I hiked up an icy canyon last night with 50 pounds of deer feed and put it in several places where the deer like to feed. I also put out some more food to help out other species that are having a hard time. I do this 2-3 times a week and have been doing it for almost three years. I've been soaked to the bone in rainstorms at night when the temps were in the 50's, and I've been very uncomfortable many times in the winter from these activities. I also rehabilitated wild birds for two years. All this on my own time and expense, and I don't have a lot of money or time. I've picked up so many beer bottles left by hunters, along with other junk over the years, that it would probably weigh close to a half ton if you put it all together. And keep in mind that you don't even find half the animals you shoot, they run off and die a lingering death somewhere because you took a long shot that you had no business taking, or you're just a lousy shot to begin with. You need to sit down.
@@carnivalwrestler I'm not a hunter...I don't even like killing things...I'd much prefer wolves keep the ungulate herds in proper balance than people, as that is how nature intended it...but that is the biggest load of self righteous garbage I've ever seen. "your sons go around with their bb guns and kill every bird they see"...really, "every bird"? "I saw all the bears in my neck of the woods in Maine get annihilated in two years". Really, ALL the bears are gone, all of them? (doubtful). And all of them were killed by hunters? None died of old age, or fighting for a mate...hunters are the only thing that killed all the bears. I know you're going for "affect" here, with statements like that...and trying to stir up some emotion in the reader...but it's doing you more harm than good. Anyway...you and I probably agree on wildlife management far more than we disagree...but I just couldn't remain silent on that post. Post like that are what give environmentalists a bad name.
Jar of Smegma if your commenting on what the hunter had said. Well your just talking like most mentally handicapped liberals do. Hunters are the reason a lot of species still exist. They help to protect a lot of habitat and promote healthy herd stock. So inclosing liberal piss on you.
Of they get closer I definitely would fire a round ti scarem them. If they keep coming (which I highly doubt they would) I would send them to their graves and run like hell while doing so
why are you calling wolves bastards?? they are part of the ecosystem. that's why wolves were re introduced into Yellowstone in 1995. get educated fella. we have to have wolves in the wild or the wild will destroy itself. its a fine balance.
I have never seen one person say one sentence that is 100% accurate while also being 100% incorrect. Well done lol First off, all wildlife is part of the ecosystem. So you´re 100% correct here. But this sentence was "we have to have wolves in the wild or the wild will destroy itself. its a fine balance." is 100% false. The wild will not destroy itself without wolves. Not sure where you got that from, but that is not an educated statement, that is a statement made because you like wolves or dislike hunting. Wolves balance the ecosystem, but he ecosystem has been fine and will always be fine without wolves as other predators replace them, depending on the area. Now, too many wolves is not a good thing, if they are not controlled than they will, in fact, destroy wildlife. I think maybe before telling someone else to get educated about a topic, you should begin to understand you may not know as much as you think and you should learn to make an arguement without saying immature.
2:30 you call the wolves bastards for going after the elk & say they screwed that up for you but this is their territory, their food. You can just go to the grocery store. Gonna edit to add more. You sound like a wolf killer. You say the wolves have destroyed the country. I'm not going to watch this but I hope wolves do keep stalking you. Maybe they'll catch you 🐾🐺
My Uncle and cousin witnessed an entire heard of Elk get hemmed up in a box canyon by a pack of wolves. They watched the wolves kill all the elk what looked like for fun. They apparently were teaching the adolescents how to kill. This was a few years back and they were afraid to do anything due to the wolves being protected. Proper management depends on several aspects not just one. I see several arguments here for both sides that make sense. I know here in Texas the coyotes put a tremendous amount of pressure on the deer population, not mature deer. They kill and eat the fawns, most times during birth. They are prolific relentless predators.
wow you country boys got some balls. Im a nyc'r, I wouldve threw a grenade at that pack, lol then again that was a thing a beauty to see. I dont know how you guys dont get nervous.
bartenderzzz ..im In allegany county ny the boonies of ny if you go to the Adirondacks you will maybe see a wolf or two I'm a 8 hour drive from nyc and we got wolf's here I'm only a hour and a half drive from Hamburg on lake Erie
Its the same reason you wouldn't be nervous around a big barracuda, it's just their natural curiosity. If you are in tune with the animal's behavior you can assess the danger.
@Jerry Phillips well said! The indians understood resources were limited, and would move on to new lands rather than over hunt the land they were on and leave nothing for their children.
Ellipses, much?

Bull shit . If you got a gun what you afraid of
@@johnnylinfield3809 I was on a fossil dig, my fault for not knowing the area. No, no gun. Just my air horn, pepper spray and my tools in the duffel bag.
yes they really were.
@montanadoctor Thanks for your wonderful wisdom. It shows that you have great insight and education.
I wish other hunters possessed even half the common sense and integrity that you do Gerald. Keep it up 😊
@montanadoctor it's not childish moron it's the truth
You should feel privileged to witness such a wonderful show of nature doing what it does best, preserving the best breeding stock. This has been going for thousands of years with out man's interference.
Well, the thing with wolves is they can't go to the store to buy their food so they have no option but to hunt and eat their natural prey.
Wolves are amazing creatures. So much respected by mountain people of Caucasus
I wanna know how did the wolves “destroy this country”?
Up in parts of Canada their is no bag limit for wolves. Thanks for posting the great footage.
Oh boy. You must have been riding your unicorn when you came up w this pile of crap.

Anything else professor hunter hater?

What do you suppose wolves check out other animals for ?
What a crazy encounter, thanks for sharing. Good luck on your next hunts.

Wolfs didn't destroy that county. You did!
Wow, nature at its finest
Amazing footage, wolfs are king and are very effective, nice video.
They’re just checking you out dang if they were hunting you’d know it
You are so full of shit
There not bastards there hunters just like you and I ! Respect them !

Wolves naturally view other canines as competitors and will take them out if given a chance. As such I don’t let my dogs roam at night in wolf country. But I bird hunt with them throughout the fall and have never had an incident.
Sounds like the people are the true predators. These animals were here before humans, so sad that these animals have to put up with ignorant humans.
Thank you for sharing! This was a great video. Sorry about the hunt.
The only thing them wolves was stalking was groceries.
Crazy cool I'm pretty sure if I was there they would all identify as coyotes
Not stocking but observing. If stocking you'd all be dead gun or no gun
🤙🏻 Filmed in stunning clarity via 1990’s Nokia phone
Too many predators? Yeah, that means you and your friends- leave the animals alone.
Why did y'all use a camera from 1998?
well, common sense says they shot the video 10+ years ago. You can do math, right?
“Gosh damn wolves”
XD lol but why the hate to them
My uncle took this video. If you have no clue as to our dilemma in NW Wyoming scroll on an shut your mouth.
Theres no denying they are cool looking but somthing had to be done with them.. there devastating the deer and elk herds...
The importation of Canadian Gray Wolves was criticized at the time by American biologists who believed the larger wolves would kill more elk, a position many now say has proved correct, and that the introduction of a non-native sub-species was of questionable legality when the smaller-sized native populations were beginning to recover naturally, on their own, positions similar to those advanced by the Farm Bureau’s of Idaho, Wyoming and Montana." To wolves don't just kill for pleasure only humans do that the Wolf will consume whatever they kill
@@jimbojohnson8196 Nope. I was reading about the elk that were introduced into northern Wisconsin as dinner for the wolves that have also been invited into northern Wisconsin. There has been a problem with wolves pulling down elk and leaving the carcass after taking a bite or two of some part they particularly fancy. But the rest just sits there and rots or is eaten by scavengers of various sorts. THAT is killing for pleasure as they are not eating what they kill.
@@jimbojohnson8196 Bullshit. Given the opportunity they will kill, make make one meal out of a thousand pound animal and walk off. They will also go on killing sprees and pull down and kill animals just to kill them. It's been documented that they will do this, complete with photo evidence - it's online/Google is your friend - so don't believe the myths you've been told about the noble wolf that only kills to survive and cleans his plate like a good one. If you do believe it, I have a bridge in Brooklyn that's up for sale, in case you want to buy one.

@@jimbojohnson8196 you are obviously ignorant on the way of the wolf !
We have the same problem in Minnesota good by whitetails ,moose, and when they wipe those out they go after the black bears and when they have done that it will be some rural kid waiting for a school bus because they already ate the family dog and cat they lost all fear of humans!!
I don't understand why you didn't light em up. The wolves have destroyed our big game herds also.
Apparently that was the intent of introducing a non native species here.
This is a correct and accurate statement.
They were brought in to kill cattle and sheep grazing on public land, therefore putting the ranchers off of blm land and out of business.
I know exactly what I would have done. Whose stupid idea was it to re release these. I've read these arnt even the same ones that were here originally. They are larger and more aggressive. There isn't an elk left in Yellowstone or Jackson Hole. Ducking ridiculous. A coyote would never stare at you like that and decide weather it should attack or not. We should capture them, build a big wall around California, and release them there. Good thing your horse didn't spook and buck you the might have attacked. wow.
Insane ending huh? Click bait.
The "insane ending" you'd have find in his underwear ;-)
You better run white boy. LMAO
Your racist. LMOA idiot.
Ending? I thought they were gonna fleece the pack a little at the end?
The bears didnt destroy that country people like you did.!!! You there for fun they are there to live and survive if you didnt know.
As soon as you said watch till end I stopped the video. Been duped a couple times not anymore!
ok
This was a 10 minute tutorial on Why Not To Buy A Camera On Clearance.
In Wisconsin we kill wolves and claim it was attacking us.
Sicko
Do we have a gun? 😨🤔😆
Wolves destroyed this country... huh. Who was here first bud?
I love stalking wolves.
SHOOT!!!!! 14 Wolves and you did not bust a one of them! When the one was stalking you could of popped his ass and claimed Self defense! ;) HAHAHA!
why the fuck would you shoot a wolf
WHY NOT?
Camera ran outta battery lol
Bill, did you brush you teeth, your mouth stinks!
@@lordgarithos7332 Spoken like a tree-hugging, card-carrying PETA city slicker.
Stalked is a little dramatic. You guys saw something that not many people in this world get to see. Congrats and be thankful. Hopefully you got your elk. There were certainly plenty of them out there.
No for long after the POS wolves get done slaughtering them off.
should have turned it into a wolf hunt!!!
Shoulda turned into a NUCKINFUTSUT hunt.....deplete the weak!
Good video.
How much money do all you anti hunters donate each year for wildlife conservation.....the silence is defining I can tell you how much hunters pay and how many hours of service on conservation projects so until you put your money where your mouth is you have no right to comment
What total bullcrap.
Making broad sweeping generalizations is sure way to lose credibility i.e. "And keep in mind that you don't even find half the animals you shoot" come on, half?
Sorry Dude, I can comment all I want. Remember this IS America.
what was the crazy ending we were supposed to watch? this sucked thumbs down
I would've at least but some heat behind him. lol.. he would've been real gun shy
the sunlight basin used to hold some big deer i wonder now?
Why scream “kill them all” y’all really mean that?
Of they get closer I definitely would fire a round ti scarem them. If they keep coming (which I highly doubt they would) I would send them to their graves and run like hell while doing so
I guess they had an eye on your horse
Anything with four legs resembles food to them I would think.
Yo mate, Kent stringly has copied your video
why are you calling wolves bastards?? they are part of the ecosystem. that's why wolves were re introduced into Yellowstone in 1995. get educated fella. we have to have wolves in the wild or the wild will destroy itself. its a fine balance.
Where's the earth shattering kaboom? That pack is large and needs a thinking.kill a wolf, save a rancher.
Healthy looking pack.So much for elk hunting that afternoon.
Your uncle and cousin are liars.
If you got a gun what you afraid of
the wolves know they are asshole hunters they have a strong oder
wow you country boys got some balls.
If you are in tune with the animal's behavior you can assess the danger.
those wolves need thining right out, soon there wont be much to see out there but lots of wolves and some people are going to disapear
@Jerry Phillips well said! The indians understood resources were limited, and would move on to new lands rather than over hunt the land they were on and leave nothing for their children.
