Nice tip on the 9v test battery!
Thanks! will try this before replacing!
I have about 25 lights on my deck. a row of lights have quit working plus a random one. Does this ever happen due to bad connectors?
Yes, that’s actually what I was working on when I made the video, entire rows were no longer working. When I checked, there was still power on the line, so I knew it was bulbs and or connectors. There were a couple bulbs, but mostly failed connectors. 👍🏻
Your old connector looks like ours. And I can't figure out how to remove it! How did you get it to open up so you could remove it off the wire cable? This question is probably too hard to explain in writing though.
Sometimes I’ve had to use pliers and a little muscle to pull them apart. I’m not worried about damaging them because I’m replacing with new connectors anyway. 👍🏻
@@papajoeknows8355 Ok, thanks! since it wasn't easy, I was starting to think that maybe they weren't suppose to come off. Like perhaps it would expose too much live wire or something. But now that I know you are in fact suppose to remove them, then I will use more force. Thanks!
When I get new bulbs I always wear vinyl gloves when I remove them from the package
Good idea 👍🏻
I had exactly the same problem, but wanna repair the lights instead of replacing it. Would the 9V battery trick work with a 12V garden light?
It might be worth a try, but I feel like no.
@@papajoeknows8355It works!!! The trick helped a lot. Thank you again!
Hey, PJ. Do you ever watch Project Farm's videos?
No haven’t heard of them, but I’ll check them out. Thanks, I like that kind of stuff.
will this work with an 11 watt bulb?
Not sure about that, but worth a try.
