We don't have to prove anything tbh, if you want long hair, work to get long hair and it you want short hair then get short hair. It's not society.. Its ourselves wanting to fit into society😪

Lol this society is backwards and pathetic anyway, just like most of the world. Long hair might be aesthetically pleasing but at the end of the day, can a female bring ACTUAL skills and worth to the table?? Think about it. You know your planet's societies and cultures are moderately primitive and unevolved when the extent of what women are prized for is largely "beauty," long hair, physical assets (i.e., butt, breasts, body, at the end of the day), and small trinkets moreso than technological achievement and galaxy spanning accomplishments.

1-Trim hair once a year (not every month)
2-Avoid heat (eg. flat iron once a year)
3-Lay off the hair coloring (eg. can use henna for natural hair, avoid for chemically treated hair)
4-Can use hair relaxer but take care of your hair, keep it moisturized and healthy
5-Use good hair oils (eg. olive oil, etc), you do not need to spend a fortune on it
6-Get a good hair conditioner (can leave only for 10-15 mins, does not have to be the whole day ), can make your own conditioner at home with natural products (eg. yogurt, honey, grapes, avocado's etc)
7-After deep conditioner use leave-in moisturizer, then use hair oil on top of that
8-Manipulate as little as possible (avoid tiny braids, frequent styling , etc), use head wraps and wigs instead if needed (keep your hair locked away)
9-Keep it simple, stick to one routine
    10-Be patient
    11-Eat a healthy diet

With the trims I agree. If your ends aren't damaged, then they don't need to be cut. Cutting your ends help with length retention if your ends are damaged. Damaged ends break off, and if your keeps breaking then you will not see growth. So in that case trimming the hair off will stop if from.breaking.
If your hair grows an inch then you cut an inch. You're not going to see growth. And if your ends are constantly damaged, instead of trimming, find out why your hair is damaged in the first place. Healthy hair needs less trims.

I know this video is old but it came up in my feed. I loved your comments so much on the ends not being that raggedy and not having to trim it so often. I so agree with it. I do have a different stance on heat though. I know of people with long hair (the Glam Twinz for ex) who straighten once a month in the winter. Yes they got some heat damage but it wasn't falling out or breaking. The key is to do all the deep conditioning and protein treatment.

Great advice! Best thing that happened to my hair in recent years has been the COVID lockdown. My weekly hair appointments included color, blow dry, flat ironing and monthly trims. But in lockdown I’ve stopped going to my hairdresser. For the past year, I’ve only trimmed my hair once, roller set my hair using low heat, let my grey roots grow out and my hair has already grown down to my lower arm pits. You are right that white and Asian women get shocked when black women have long and lush hair. When I was younger, I sometimes had non black women follow me to the ladies room and confess that they had to see because they couldn’t believe my hair was real! Glad to get back to taking care of it myself! Just because you have money doesn’t mean that some self maintenance isn’t in order. Your advice is spot on, I’m not certain though about the double condition. Some of us with thinner hair and looser curls might find their hair getting oily too quickly. You have gorgeous hair, it’s obviously working for you!

I tell people the same thing twice a year every six months lol❤️✊🌺 when you cut your hair every month you're cutting what's growing especially if you try to cut your hair more than two in your hair only grows a half an inch a month. 🌺And sometimes it can grow more than that depending upon what you do during that month.🌺 There's a time where I literally grew my hair 4 to 5 inches in two and a half monthsbecause of the products that I'm making use. Like she said, cut your hair once or twice a year and that's enough twice as the max and you will see the growth even more

Great video! I love your hair. I'm in faux locs now, extensions but in March when they come out I'm def doing a length check. Trimming my hair less frequently really made the difference. I agree with you on that! You're very beautiful!
