The only issue I am really concerned with is loss of the battery low audible tone. I like to fly under, thru and over trees too and it is so easy to get so involved with your flying you can easily lose track of time and run on a low batter and not know it. I know when I hear that tone to not fly under or thru trees for the same reason that happened to you in your video. I need that tone because you cant always see the screen when you check. Great video, thank you for sharing. I loved it. :D

I was happy you mentioned that, because I was thinking right away that if you had everything slowed down and it shoots up into RTH, it could be a bad thing trying to fight any kind of a wind with not enuf power to get thru it,, and as the drone is drifting away and you are trying to fumble thru the app to speed things back up again. Hi Chris. First of all, hope you are doing well and this video popped up again and I realized it was the first one I watched on your channel. I have the Zino Pro and what caught my attention about this upload was you saying you were interested in cinematic close ups and that's exactly my interest as well. I did dial back my Pro and get OK results but for the next gen, I am thinking I need: maybe FPV and maybe digital?, maybe sensors to avoid collisions, and maybe a frequency that can punch through leaves and other RF sinks. Yes, that's a big wish list and some are likely incompatible. I want to run the rivers, covered bridges, abandoned churches, etc. I suspect you've thought long and hard on the problem and i'm a lazy, lazy man. Cheers and enjoy your 4th and no worries if you can't get to it.
Thanks Chris. I always look forward to your vids and comments on the Zino. You've really helped me immensely, since I'm still a rookie. My app just updated yesterday for the Android. So today I'll be doing the update. Thanks again for all you do for the hobby.
Great info as usual Chris, thx for all your help Hubsan keeps improving Zino, love mine, totally enjoying the hobby and enlightening onlookers to the good stuff in regards to drones and pilots!
I love the new speed settings, I have been asking Hubsan to add this for awhile now, and they delivered. Now all we need is some ND filter and we will be able to capture some real cinematic footage with the Zino. Great demo of the how the speed settings work, and how precisely you can dial them in for a smooth flight. Sorry about that unexpected low voltage RTH, I could tell it surprised you. But the Zino found its way through the trees. And it was cool you spied the deer in the tall grass.
Hey QC Guy, do you know of anyway to increase the top speed of the drone to even 25mph? It seems like it's advertised to go much faster than that but I've only been able to get it up to around 19mph myself. It's not the biggest deal in the world as it's a camera drone and most shots suck at greater than 25ish, but I'd like to be able to zip around for fun. Thanks!
Hahaha, your closed captioning commentary is hilarious!!! Damn that was lucky through the trees!! It seems really stable and thats so nice now with 1.1.5.2!! That's so interesting that it dives at 100% and then rises to the original altitude. The H501 didn't do that but the Zino still does for some reason, that's so weird. Then at 10% it looks very cinematic! That's awesome! Even up through 30% it really looks stable and high quality! At 120fps Slow motion would look perfect! It's also pretty damn cool that it came back into range out at 1000m when you lose connectivity just enough for you to regain stick control. I've had a drone lose connectivity and run out of battery, but mine would land out past 1000m. I would have to go find it via GPS and as I got close I would regain FVP of the bird on the ground.Well... ANOTHER VERY THOROUGH AND HELPFUL VIDEO CHRIS!! Thank you for taking the time and effort to film this and sit down to edit it!! I know it's a lot to do and we are VERY APPRECIATIVE of you!!!

Great video! Why did the Quad go up? On firmware 1.1.5 in my Zino the AI Precision Landing does not work . Can't turn it on. Sorry for my English, i'm from Russia. Thanks
I got it to work some and am uploading it now. The quad went up because of a low battery RTH and I was busy focusing on the shoot but not paying attention.
@@QCGUY Oh, I now understand the RTH System works at the height that you want to put in the settings, for example 30-50 m. I need to be careful.Thank you! I will wait for new videos!
Yeah RTH can be pretty disturbing if you don't anticipate what it will do. My rule, and I'm a total novice with the Zino Pro, is don't lift off unless I have a lot of open air above me. The RTH seems to fly a small "n" shape, darting up to a safe height then directly over the launch spot and then down. Although there are still low batt. warnings on the screen, they really should add audio warnings again. What I noticed the first time is, that the quad stays at its current height on RTH, when it’s above minimum height-imagine it would have gone down to the 50m of your settings, it probably would have crashed into the power lines..
Hello QC GUY how are you, so you still recommend the zino over the issues still worth it I still don't decide between the zino black edition or the fimi a3 I'm afraid of having issues, what problems did you find in this video I hope you can help me
The problem was what I mentioned about the RTH blackout and no battery warning. I definitely would go with the zino over the A3. You won't like the display on the A3 or the range.
Chris, When you had the disconnect at 1040 meters and then had difficulty reconnecting and keeping connection I really wonder if there could have been a combination of things causing the FPV loss and disconnect? Those power lines surely cause some interference and EMF and also there is tree cover directly in line of sight between you and the Zino. I tried to fly not long ago where there was some towers nearby, (Cell and TV ) and could not keep connection even at close distances ,the towers were a mile or 2 away but I know they were interfering and I have had similar issue with power lines although not as severe.
nsanemx72 Thanks but it the same every time on the last firmware and now after those first flights on the new I can confirm further the subtitles I put on this video. It’s the same thing every time except not always losing signal so much on the return home. I took it to the reservoir were there is nothing and same thing. All my quads fly at top performance there.
@@QCGUY Got ya . Guess I need to see if mine does the same thing. I drive along side of it everyday twice a day. Not the best accessible area and the only interest I would have in doing that would be at night as you see the lights go through the trees along the curve on the edge of the mountain. It's a very cool site to see but adds more risk and there's no retreating the quad if I lose it. Sorry, it's a pass from me for now.
@@QCGUY are we talking about the same place? The curve cannot be seen from any highway - it is nestled in a U-shaped canyon so to speak. It is only accessible from Hwy764. Look up the Altoona horseshoe on Wikipedia - lots of interesting stuff there I'd love to visit!
David Cash Yes we are but you’re wrong there is a road called memorial hwy I think. I drive by the outside which they still call that part of the line horseshoe curve. I know where you’re talking about at the reservoir but it’s much more impressive from the side of the mountain along route 22. I just passed it 10 minutes ago actually. 👍

Hubsan has come a long way with their Zino... I might have to pull one of my videos... Nut I'll have to Sleep On it!! :D
Gorilla Man I actually have flown my Zino with the new app and the Note 8...the RTH acts the same on Android as well (rockets back up to the set min). I do, however, get the audio and tactile warnings on low battery. I’ll double check again tomorrow, but in the 10561m on the reset from the update (lost my old flight data on he update), I cannot think of a time that I didn’t get an audible and vibration warning on low batts.
@@fighttowinofbelmontnc2432 : I thought the App acted differently in IOS than Android... I guess we shall see !
Hi Chris a

HI!, other very helpfully video. I would like to know if I have my Zino updated, therefore please I really will apreciatte if you could inform what are in codes the most recently versiones of:
1.- Fligt Control Firmware.
2.- FPV Firmware.
3.- Transmitter Firmware.
4.- Gimbal Versión.
5. App last versión.
Thanks in advance for your kind assistance with the mentioned information.
Best regards.
Vlad.
I could tell you the changes they made in recent updates but that will mess up my next zino video. Several changes are not mentioned in the change logs. Why? Because I am not the one making those change logs anymore. LOL I did them for 2 years....
You so lucky.L.O.L.
Great video and this is the great budget drone.I will never ever buy a MJX Bugs, the next quad that i buy will bi zino if i find hem in Europe (Croatia) 😀
Great info and a very entertaining video BTW, however, the Zino you're using in this video is "distinctly" out of focus. Is there any reason you haven't made the adjustment to the lens to focus this one properly?
No because it isn't out of focus but perhaps just smudged or dirty and my own negligence in not checking.
For video I would keep the yaw at 20%. At 30% camera still loses focus
Brian Dolson All depends on what your shooting and how your shooting it but yes slower is better with a max of 30fps.
How fast can the Zino follow you? Thank you
Marcus Cunnington 9 meters a sec maybe? Not sure because I don’t use it for follow me ever. Sorry 😐
Great video again! Do you know why is my Zino not able to take video in Orbit mode?
Boca Bice no I don’t but that’s where my group is helpful plus you can show us a video screenshot with more information to help you. 👍
It usually video tapes in orbit mode automatically (not sure if it actually shows it’s doing it). I usually forget to restart the video after orbit is done
B, C, and the F K. Bob, Cyndi, and the Foster Kids Thanks for the help 👍
I’m not a orbit user normally.
QC GUY no problem, glad to contribute. I’m still a newbie so I try all the autonomous modes and silly modes that sell more drones than they are useful
@@Bobcouto2 I can not start the video in orbit mode, there is no button for video in Android app. If I cancel orbit mode, there is the button . Strange...
Question , what kind of sd card you use ?
All my 4K quads are now using SanDisk Extreme Pro MicroSDXC UHS-I U3 A2 V30
@@QCGUY thanks I appreciate it you answer
smooth video, very stable, nice!
Nice video Sir. I want to thank you for all the good information and updates. I really appreciate it Sir. Keep those good videos coming. 💯💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️👨✈️👨✈️👨✈️👨✈️👨✈️🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁.
Thanks for all you do and please keep flying.
Super ! Extra ! Thank you for sharing !
Good effort, thanks Chris 👍
The video looks very grainy and noisey. More so than other zino vids. I hope the camera wasnt dumbed down in firmware updates
25% battery and below it will automatic mode and rth just be aware. That bridge reminds me of Beetlejuice
My zino is around 9/10 ms out of the box is that normal
Yes
@@QCGUY no new speed firmware update then..?
OUT AND ABOUT WITH TOM planet cloud They are unlikely to change the speed. You can slow things down in settings but that’s all.
@@QCGUY yea on top of that its surprising that users dont drop it to 80% to increase the flight time..thanks
Excellent vid 👍
Great video wish I could fly but weather is shocking here in the uk rain rain high winds
Where are you in the UK Andrew? It's beautiful here in Kent at the moment. We've just had a full week of high winds and flash flooding. I'd get out myself but my balance charger is knackered.

4 years later, still crap weather in uk,I'm grounded too 🇬🇧
Here's a video you might try. The Altoona horseshoe curve of RR tracks is about 25 miles from you. Try to capture some train rounding the curve.
good night. mine is with the image shaken and I could not solve.

Thanks 😊
Thanks a lot for your video sir.
I think it would be great if flipping the sport mode button overrode whatever your max settings are and returned you to 100%. Would make it easy to switch back and forth in a hurry.
Sold out ?
Michael Silva Did you try both warehouse ship from locations?
Try to fly the Yuneec Typhoon plus.
Great video 👍
