- Eurovision 2024 winner decided? Maybe not yet but this not obviously one of the serious contenders if not the really first one. Ukraine again gives Eurovision Song Contest a serious mature music and there are countries who should rather start asking: "How are you doing this" ... bravo!

Alyona Alyona x Jerry Heil won Vidbir 2024. Jerry Heil will represent Ukraine after several tries. "Teresa & Maria" received record number of votes. Eurovision 2024 Ukraine reaction is very positive. Ukraine can win Eurovision again. Eurovision 2025 in Kiiv?

Eurovision is my passion. Eurovision was my work and I am still gladly part of the professional community of this project. I started at Eurovision 2016 as Czech Head of Delegation. Such a Eurovision story! Form Eurovision in Sweden I went to antoher ESC experience. Kiiv 2017 Eurovision. This was my first and last failiur. Sometimes you need to learn trough losing even it is not plasant. We ended up 13 in the semifinal, second best score of Eurovision Czechia back then. But after this we established ESCZ national selection format. It was mostly held online. Because of this we found Mikolas Josef who went 6th at Eurovision 2018 in Portugal. Than 11th with Lake Malawi, at Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Eurovision story is crazy. After finding all candidates and songs (-1) for ESCZ 2020 I resigned and left the television for working freelance.
Not to stop being part of Eurovision, I created this channel as I have an urge not to do just Eurovision Reactions from a different perspective. But also to do national selection reactions, watch others how they do their craft and also give a different approach for Eurovision fans.
I am very glad was part of many eurovision juries. Mostly in national selection and since 2017 I was in MGP Norway, Eurovision Malta, UMK national selection Finland. Juror in Melodifestivalen 2016. Biggest national selection. Also helped Eurovision Ireland, Eurovision Estonia, Eurovision Azerbaijan and many others.

I agree, we want to see and hear more culture in there, even if only a touch. We thirst for it from everybody and I think Ukrainians understood that, which makes me very proud.

I also do see Ukraine as a strong contender to win. The song has such a nice flow, it feels organic, mystical, has an anthem vibe and the rap part in the middle fits in so well. And it doesn’t feel forced and made up as it sometimes seems to be the case with other entries. And I love to watch the two of them. They are so professional and yet so approachable. And Jerry has such good taste when it comes to outfits - it’s really a pleasure to look at her.

Thank you for your reaction❤️ I am very happy that Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil are going. I voted for them as did all my family and friends. The televoting results are AMAZING - 61.97%, 723,297 votes, which is 7 TIMES MORE than 2nd place YAKTAK (9.19% 107,227 votes).
In addition, I want to say that Jerry Heil, and many of the other Vidbir contestants, had a problem with their headphones, which can be seen right from the beginning of the performance that Jerry took off her headphone and sang with only one. And she was showing her earpiece, which means she was giving a sign that she couldn't hear herself. Additionally, during Alyona's rap, Jerry went to the back to correct the earpiece. So it will definitely be different in Malmö 💞.

I can't wait to see ESCZ reaching this quality of production. Watching the growth of ESCZ in the last 3 years, I think it is soon for ESCZ to become the national final to watch! but lets try to avoid Roxy next year.. The venue acoustics was not build for live performance. But definitely enjoyed, felt proud how much was accomplished.
it would be nice to reach the level like from 2020/2021 and prove it on a big stage :) One day!!!
@@JanBors I think the delegation and the CT is on the right track.. The formula is working. The formula to grow ESC in CZ. I moved Prague 2016, and I felt like the only one who knows Eurovision. Know, everyday at the office, people are coming and asking I hear you are also Eurovision Fan. So, community and the interest is definitely growing. Thanks to the hard work of you guys. #respect

For me it’s a song for thousands of Ukrainian female soldiers, for millions of Ukrainian female refugees. Even for those who are not religious. While listening to this song you just start crying and praying immediately. Especially when you understand all the lyrics

Whenever I hear criticism of Spain, I think about the odds of a winner of another national final winning Benidorm. Would Teresa & Maria have beaten Zorra and Dos Estraños? Or would it have been dismissed more like Remitente as a niche culture song? For Spanish acts to win Eurovision, they first need to win Benidorm, and that is no simple feat.
Hard to compare - first of all you never know in Spain. As the big shock is not how people vote (even how low number of votes came) but how jury voted. For me this was the most irresponsible vote. Not because of the song but because of the performance, basically they threw the old lady to competiton where this is not a proper tribute she deserves.
Anyway - whould it win? Actually who knows, we will never find out. The only answer is to see a difference of positions of Spain and Ukraine in grand final. This is a factor we can messure only.
@@JanBors This is similar to the debate about who is the Best Pound-for-Pound fighter in the UFC. Vidbir and Benidorm are very different weight-classes, and it takes different skills to win in each.
About the "old lady", one hypothesis I have is that the Benidorm jury had a rubric to use, and ranking low on vocals easily got overcome by ranking top in several other categories. Vocals aside, Zorra is very well produced, catchy and cultural, so I think they gave her a pass. Also it seems that she is not a household name in Spain, that part I am more confused about, so I don't think it was her reputation that helped.
