First of all much love for your words about me and my vocals ! Thank you ! I glad you noticed that. Second. I very glad you love our new song as a metal hard and EXPLAINS why !! Love you man
Alex, you are one of the most gifted artists I have ever discovered. Keep up the great work, this is your time. I heard you just moved to my town, hope to run into you one day!
The algorithmic structure of the STP songs is interesting, yes, it is complicated, especially for the Russian ear, but for the English-speaking listener it even comes in very well. Their bright song is "You only", for some reason it is not performed at concerts. It is fucking awesome.
I took my 5 year old son to see Slaughter to Prevail on Nov. 2 and it was fucking insane. It was my sons first live show. He is hooked on Alex’s voice. Alex is like a hero to my son. I even got him passes to meet the band. I had tears in my eyes watching my boy rock the fuck out that night. Such a proud hardcore dad moment. Definitely one of my favorite bands to blow up in a long time. My son was mind blown watching the pit. As we left the show he looked up at me thanking me for taking him and he was asking when we could see them agin
It kinda speaks to me as well, yk? To me, Alex is saying no matter how vocally animalistic he is, he is still a human being at the end of the day. And that chorus pretty much explains it. Fucking deep shit man
He's such a cool dude. I love watching him interact with fans. seems that people ages 8 to 50+ years of age are fans of Slaughter. rightfully so. Alex is a great guy from what I can tell
They are just a different breed, man. Slaughter has such a brutal sound. Like, Lorna Shore is also brutal, but they incorporate so much orchestra and melodic stuff into their songs that it doesn't feel the same. These two bands are at the top of the scene, but both bring a unique style within the genre that is all their own.
Every time I listen to StP, I'm feeling happy and so pumped that wrestling a bear would be only a warm up for me. Viking is the next natural step in their evolution as musicians. All I can hope is for StP to remain as genuine and humble as they are now and not succumb to the mainstream celeb behavior. I'm certain their down to earth, Russian chads demeanor is what the fans love the most. Their talent and raw energy are only the icing on the cake. Awesome reaction, Tank. Cheers!
I saw them live in April in Florida. As someone who has seen many a metal concert. Theirs was by far and away the most energetic and best concert I’ve ever been to. When I saw them, there was no opening act. It was just them, for 3 hours straight. Belting out all of their songs including this one. I drove 10 hours to see them and it was all well worth it
As a nurse, I love your heart rate being shown. You can tell you’re a nervous speaker, but you also prove that music like this, even at this pace, can have a calming effect on the human body.
I can't tell you how many times I've been looked at weird or questioned for getting teary eyed during songs, especially ones that aren't sad. It's really validating to see someone else get these types of emotions while listening to really fucking good music. Much love Tank.
This might be the most guitar-driven track by them to date, at least from what I've heard, usually all of my attention is occupied by Alex monstrous singing and Jenya's pounding drums, but here the entire track feels much more cohesive and evenly spread out, I can't get enough of it. I'm very happy that these guys are doing well. Edit: I also got a bit emotional on the first listen, most of them are my fellow countrymen and the anger Alex exudes is palpable.
Discovered Alex pretty long ago actually (~10y ago), seen him posting covers on UA-cam, and I was already really impressed by his talent, and told myself "I cannot wait to see him acquire some experience & go pro, it would be nuts" until he went a bit under my radar. Well, now that I rediscover him, for once, I wasn't wrong: this is nuts.
What strikes me the most is as much as their music is in your face is how they respond to the fans . No agression just the gentle giant as it should be. That is how it should be always. That is probably what i like about them far more than anything else.
I saw them live earlier this week. It was insane. Also love the PMA attitude Alex is projecting. They bring brutal music, with blood stained guitars, yet the message is: make this world a better place and start with yourself. Just love them, man.
Man, I like a lot of reactors, but Tank, you are the only one I genuinely look forward to. Your energy is infectious, your knowledge of the field is impressive, and watching you get hyped up for these insane bands is just so much fucking fun. So glad you checked this song out!
This song has such a catchy groove while being brutally heavy at the same time. I love how they sprinkled in the fan interaction clips too. You're right about Alex's projection being wild also. At the St Louis show he apologized for being sick and losing his voice, then proceeded to scream the part from this song and Demolisher without the mic.
I took my 15yr old son to see them for his very first concert. I've seen a lot of shows and this was by far the best show I've ever seen. Small venue so we were almost right up front. I will see them every single time they come to Dallas. The last 2 releases I think have been some of their best work. Today's word of the day F#!k lol. Sometimes, it's all that needs to be said.
Slaughter to prevail became one of my favorites thanks to this channel. Again I have to say, the way you present songs and bands are great. Like "Take a minute, give it some extra attention and then lets talk about what we just enjoyed and THEN! make your opinion on the song and band". And as you said once, sometimes it takes some time to find in to a band. Like with Sabaton, they are around in my life thanks to my friends since 13 years but I first started to listen to them since I follow your channel. But like you said over Babymetal, sometimes it needs some time until its enjoyable. So, thanks for your work/service and to this song: something with death and destruction ... YEAAAAAAAAH!!!
Having seen them on one of their early US tours in like 2018, and having briefly met Alex, it makes me so happy to see them get this attention. Absolutely deserved. Alex is a monster on stage, and the kindest guy off stage. They had a fill-in guitarist at this point of the tour, and he said all Alex does is sleep and eat McDonald’s on tour 😂
I watched Nik's reaction first and was so hype to see you did a video too. It's so fun to watch people appreciate things you appreciate lol. Also I'm always glad to see that I'm not the only one who tears up at music that hits you in a way that's hard to explain.
Seeing Alex in live videos, and seeing his posts on different reaction videos, it is clear to me... He is a freaking beast with the voice of a demon, but he is more human than most "stars" from the music industry. I saw a live video, where a fan went down in the pit, he stopped the music to make sure she was okay, and even jumped down to hug her, after she got up. I don't know him at all, but I think he is a really nice person. And yeah the song is absolute killer! 🤘
I can completely understand your feelings on this one Tank, it's an incredible song, and every time the music quiets down and Alex's vocals go over the top, I get such intense chills the hairs on my arms and neck stand straight up. I mean EVERY time, I've played this video multiple times a day every day since it's release, and still get that extreme of a reaction, I absolutely love it. Also, the hair thing will take a long time to get used to, I had hair down to my lower back for 10+ years, and 3 years ago finally got sick of it and cut it off, I still get the "phantom limb" reaction on occasion.
It was great meeting you at that show in nashville tank, Stand up guy and thanks for the pic. I agree with the whole video, Alex and the whole band for that fact are insane musicians and it was one of if not the best show I've been to.
EXACTLY.....This exactly perfection with everything you said. I felt the same way when i heard and can't turn it off. I'm not huge into deathcore but STP there is just something there from vocals to the way the music is played out... straight perfection, love it. Keep up the great work Tank!
First off- I just shaved my beard off after two years, Ive been bald for years but I sort of understand the shock that comes with no longer having it to mess with. Second- and most importantly; thank you for showing the sort of vulnerability and love you have for music. I tear up watching the video still after several watches.😅 Music is such an incredible escape for so many people, and I feel like a lot of us feel alone when we have to go there to get away, but for a minute there, I was there with you enjoying this, and thats the best I've felt in a long time. Thanks for the great videos.
Wow. Out of all the reaction videos, yours was the only one i found interesting to watch and listen. I'm glad that you saw them live and you were blown away. Hopefully I get to see them someday too :)
Viking and slaughter to prevail have been blowing up and ever since they came to albany NY i feel. Alot of people were mad that they couldnt see it here. Im glad and happy for my first concert to be them. Alex is the bear that will live on forever!
S.T.P never disappoints....They always blow it out of the water. I really want to see them live 😢 but here is South Africa 😐 we don't have a lot of metal fans. But will still hope for the tour 🤲🏻 that passes through here. Too Tank......My man 😂 your energy is just super awesome. I always smile like a weirdo and head bang with you 😂 The best Metal reactor hands down 🎉
@TankTheTech every show I've ever been to around there, he's been at. I've seen him at multiple Whitechapel shows, he was at Lorna Shore, As I Lay Dying and Motionless in White. Dudes a legend in the Knoxville metal scene. He wears a kilt on top of all that. Lol
Saw them live in toronto early last month. Craziest live experience for me - the crowd, the energy, the no mic moments. When Nik came on, his voice was barely audible and he also later explained in a video how Alex is so loud so his mic is tuned lower lol. Also saw them live on Nik's stream and a couple things Alex mentioned - 1984 would be a standalone song, won't be on the new album For the sound, he said they just wanted to sound like Slipknot on steroids for this song and some of the other music on the new album This song has been in tank for over half a year now, so yeah we can expect the album in the first quarter of 2024
They are coming to a music festival in Australia in december. I am dying that it is so far away but i cannot wait. I bought the ticket just to see them. Everyone else is just a bonus.
Ever since I heard this I’ve been blasting this song as much as I can. It’s honestly one of the most, aggressive, animal, beautiful song I’ve heard in a long time
Since high school, I honestly wrote most metal off thinking it was done but bands like slaughter, lorna, jinjer etc has reignited my love for the artform
Yeah man this song is just brutal, well written, well mixed, well put together and just beautiful all around for all the reasons i said. Alex is just an absolute beast vocally, and the drummer and guitarists are brilliant! STP is one of the best bands going today, AMAZING!!
They found what Slipknot lost somewhere. So many nice sounds. Sick drums with the little cymbals. I was close to them, but with this song - consider me hooked.
Guys guys...Corey is 50 years old...Alex is 30...idk why people just do not consider age as a factor. When i was 18 i did a lot of crazy shits, energy, different mindset, different life style...now im 40 😂 my last concert my legs and my neck hurts so bad i goes straight to the bed sleeping for 12+ hours. And there was a time when i goes from metal party to rave party tk metal party without sleep for days...Old dudes matter 😂
The Pit Sign is from a communty called the Pit Crew based here in North carolina its a great communty and we make it a point to make sure everyone has a good time
best music-channel on youtube. Thanks for all your amazing videos Tank, especially the recommendation of ORBIT Culture has pleased me very much, my favorite new discovery this year.
Jesus wept that is a good song. Man. Im generally not a deathcore guy but knew of STP, mainly due to Alex' insane vocals, but only just started to listen to them properly and wow, they are absolutely fantastic. Much respect to them and well done on another anwesome reaction video. Dude.
the best reactions ever on y. Good job! constructively, information, entertaining, emotionally! Boom! y're Best reaction tuber )))) gl hf. from russia with respect
I think that since Lorna shore album came out the raisedd the bar HIGH so I think we're gonna see allot of vocalist pushing the line of what we are used to.
I was at the Nashville show as well! Brought my little one to meet the band. Awesome group of group of guys and an amazing show! We were in the VIP box not far from you haha. Such a small world.
My introduction to Slaughter to Prevail was Demolisher on your channel @TankTheTech, You have such an amazing reaction and appreciation to music and it's amazing to see!
It's pure joy, both listening to this song, watching the music video, and watching your reaction. It's just like unboxing Christmas presents ten minutes straight, pure joy and big happy surprises. Amazing!
Tank! Bro! Listen, ive watched probably almost every other reaction to this song so far and i promise yours was the only one that mattered lol. Rock on brother!😊
Lol the guy with the pit sign is from Pennsylvania and he’s been going to every single slaughter show this year, I’m assuming that was footage from mr smalls in Pittsburgh as it was the one show I didn’t see them locally, but I caught their other two shows in Harrisburg and Hershey and damn I need more
I think I first discovered them about one year ago, before 1984 came out. I became a fan very fast and I also bought one of his masks, which I also see in your background ;) but I have the valvet red one, this looks so sick! would love to see them but unfortunatly I have to wait in Germany until STP comes here to lead a festival . Thanks for that quality content!
I missed out on the Toronto show. I got a notification for the show, late. It's like the date came out of no where. Ah well. I'm sure they'll be back. This song though, a new favourite when I'm in the gym.
circling back here because I just saw them in an arena opening for Five Finger Death Punch.... He still did that part with no mic and it was crystal fucking clear side-to-side front-to-back. IN AN ARENA. Beast mode.
First of all much love for your words about me and my vocals ! Thank you ! I glad you noticed that. Second. I very glad you love our new song as a metal hard and EXPLAINS why !! Love you man
The man, the myth, the legend, Alex Terrible himself! ❤

Alex, you are one of the most gifted artists I have ever discovered. Keep up the great work, this is your time. I heard you just moved to my town, hope to run into you one day!
Thank you for making such amazing songs, Alex. We love you!!
I love it when Alex sings in his native tongue of Infernal
Lol ahah
Dude is trilingual
Russian
English
Ancient tormented Demon
He is fluent in demon
The algorithmic structure of the STP songs is interesting, yes, it is complicated, especially for the Russian ear, but for the English-speaking listener it even comes in very well. Their bright song is "You only", for some reason it is not performed at concerts. It is fucking awesome.
KTBFFH
Alex continues his slow transformation into a Bear. His gutturals are simply not human. Killer fucking song
Listen to a Grizzly bear growls and Alex's growls back to back. You will be not that impressed by the bear.
@@victoriamartines5030 Actually not even joking, Alex growls are deeper
Eventually he will be mentioned by Joe Rogan lol

Please make sure he wears earplugs!!! I wish I did that, now I have tinnitus after the dozens of metal shows I've been to
The chorus is probably my fav from them, it's so good.
Same here. It's HUGE.
This is wonderful!
Absolutely! Especially the mixture of different vocals in the "I am from the same flesh" hits so freaking hard!
It kinda speaks to me as well, yk? To me, Alex is saying no matter how vocally animalistic he is, he is still a human being at the end of the day. And that chorus pretty much explains it. Fucking deep shit man
The chorus goes so hard
The thing I love most about Alex is that as intimidating and jacked as he is, he's an absolute sweetheart. Love the guy.
That video of him checking on a girl hurt in the circle pit was so mf sweet
He's such a cool dude. I love watching him interact with fans. seems that people ages 8 to 50+ years of age are fans of Slaughter. rightfully so. Alex is a great guy from what I can tell
I think this is their best song. With how great this and 1984 both were, I can't wait to hear the next album
1984, my fav song by them up until they dropped Viking, will actually not be on the album at all lmao. Nuts
Yeah, I'm really loving the more groove and slamming parts they're coming up with in their new stuff and I hope they keep going in that direction.
This sounds massive. Fantastically brutal.
This band never disappoints, really never.
And I must say that I was impatiently awaiting your reaction ! So thank you for this video !!

So happy to see you excited again on a Slaughter To Prevail track Tank let's gooo !! Love from France !
8:41 sorry for that haha
As a nurse, I love your heart rate being shown. You can tell you’re a nervous speaker, but you also prove that music like this, even at this pace, can have a calming effect on the human body.
I've noticed that with several Reactions. The Heavy Metal starts and their heart rate slows down.
Just straight chills everytime that breakdown kicks in. Alex is an absolute beast!
Evgeny is such a monster on the kit, I love him

They seem to be really great people in general.
I prefer the term “Gentle juggernaut” lol
Tank listening to Slaughter To Prevail - steady 80 bpm.
Tank realising he has no hair - instant 120 bpm.

Couldn't agree more
True,Slipknot lost them selves after Iowa and i stopped listen to them completely.
Absolutely has Iowa vibes.

Jesus wept that is a good song. Man. Im generally not a deathcore guy but knew of STP, mainly due to Alex' insane vocals, but only just started to listen to them properly and wow, they are absolutely fantastic. Much respect to them and well done on another anwesome reaction video. Dude.

Dude I was at the Nashville show. Viking was very good live! Man I love the guitar riffs in this song jack showed out!!
Been waiting for your reaction on this one. You truly are one of the most genuine reactors out there. This might be my favourite STP song so far …
Lol the guy with the pit sign is from Pennsylvania and he’s been going to every single slaughter show this year, I’m assuming that was footage from mr smalls in Pittsburgh as it was the one show I didn’t see them locally, but I caught their other two shows in Harrisburg and Hershey and damn I need more
Saw them in ATL a couple weeks ago. Absolutely kickass show! Loved every second! This song absolutely rips live! It's so good!
I love how your eyes get watery when you see something you fucking love. Feeling that bro 🤘
Ohhhh the breakdown ripped my soul out and shoved it back in real quick 🤘🏼
I missed out on the Toronto show. I got a notification for the show, late. It's like the date came out of no where. Ah well. I'm sure they'll be back. This song though, a new favourite when I'm in the gym.
Been waiting for this video ever since the song came out
circling back here because I just saw them in an arena opening for Five Finger Death Punch.... He still did that part with no mic and it was crystal fucking clear side-to-side front-to-back. IN AN ARENA. Beast mode.
thanks for that review, mate! all that hints kinda 'fun fact' are really interesting

Seen them at Inkcarceration in Mansfield Ohio!! They are so good live!
