Accident nearly ends his life. I think that after this crash it isn't this same Felipe. He was soooo better driver before this.
Funny how Bahrain 2010 he nearly won his first race back and everyone is too stupid to appreciate that and just love Fernandos overrated first race with them (I know he didn't win in 2009 but he got way too much hype for an average victory)

+Vladimir Lenin he is a bit unlucky i guess. he always had to have a bad luck ones in a season. and yes i know he outscored his team-mates in a season twice but that's because it had to be either because his team-mate is a much better driver than him (with the exception of Bottas) and could get unlucky at times (Massa could have beat Bottas if he didn't have that bad luck after Monza)

Libra Scale He'll be 18 in time for the new season, but I've watched him and he's good, but he's not got the natural talent like Verstappen, so I think in a few years he'll be good enough

There are very few drivers in F1 history who have so utterly dominated a track and destroyed all opposition like Massa in Turkey. Like Senna at Monaco or maybe Hamilton in Canada. Massa was unfortunate that Turkey got taken off the calendar. He would have challenged for the win in this year’s Williams.
Great man, I remember 2008 was watching with my ex girlfriend and my mother. It was one of the hardest moments to see him lose the title in the last corner.I felt really bad for him.

The most unlucky, and most underestimated F1 driver of all time. I believe there were two drivers who never won a championship that deserved it very much; Ronnie Peterson, and Felipe Massa. Indeed, 2008 was by all means his year, and Singapore was decisive. Never mind Hungaroring 2008 (what a great race, and huge heartbreak), Singapore was his kiss of death. And in Hungary 2009, few people realise he had two horrible accidents, the first when a 1kg spring smashed against his head, and the other when he ran full throttle into the barrier. One of the greatest F1 drivers in history for sure, and a great human being.

One of my favorite GP drivers. He improved a lot after being Ferrari's test driver in 2003. Outclassed JV in 2005, won his 1st GP in 2006. 2008 was heartbreaking. He's enjoying his final races now..

There was a chant of Italian crowd at his last podium "Fe-li-pe, Fe-li-pe..." still gives me chill today. The only true champ of 2008. Was it not for the engine breakage in Hungary 2 laps before the end, his WDC would be sealed even before the last race.

To me Massa is the 2008 champion- not world champion but champion of life, he still showed love and care to his fans and his team despite what happened, he didn't turn his back on them full with rage and hatred. He stayed loyal and loving. Something which is harder to do than winning the championship.
Felipe is considered as a likeable guy in the paddock despite most of F1 youtubers and drivers don't highly rated him
I began to seriously look Formula 1 in the same year, when Felipe started his career. And now he goes. But in general, I've always been a fan of Kimi

What do you mean? He was able to get many podiums and still win races. I blame more ferrari for his lack of success as ferrari was very slow in the 2010's era and when he switched to williams, the team was in the midfield so of course he wasn't gonna be able to win anything
@@thehuggingsimmy1765 Actually his last win was Brazil 2008. He had very strong years in the Williams and Williams was a front runner 2014 and 2015, not really a midfield team. Ferrari overall wasn´t that bad 2010 and 2012, Hockenheim 2010 should have been his win. This was really a shame.
