That really brings back the memories.Taking the vids, scared for the floor, lol. I think that dropped 600+# started the crater. Oh well, it's fixed now. Great summary of the last several years. I hadn't watched those early ones in a while. Nice to turn back the clock.
your progressions been unreal. I remember a couple years back when you were injured and plateauing for a long time, everyone on bb forums were talking shit saying you'd never pull any higher and you weren't an elite lifter. I love it when shit talkers have to eat crow.
Na not at his current bodyweight. Although it isn't exactly that difficult to put on weight unless you're like 300+ and then you're practically working to gain weight.
This is my standard pre deadlift video. Epic. Thanks for putting this compilation together Pete! Glad to see you're doing really well nowadays with life and lifting!
+Zharoon Zharoon I know. People could also end up here on accident and think, "this guy's way too much...". Most likely it's people who just don't like seeing videos with high likes and zero dislikes. I'm just saying that anybody who lifts and/or likes Pete would live this video.
It's good to see you didn't quit in that period between 815 and 825x2. Multi year plateus are a bitch but once you get past them nothing seems impossible. also that 800 pull with the Lilliebridges and Hickson is still my all time favorite deadlift.
anyone else notice he didn't use a belt until he broke 700lbs... 710 "beltless" is fricken insane.. when it all goes down Mr Rubish WILL own all the records
EASILY The most awe inspiring and Motivating Deadlift video of ALL TIME. I swear everytime I watch this I just wanna go RIP shit off the floor!!!! Big Love & respect, Thanks for sharing your awesome journey Pete.
crazy, I just came across a video of a lift of like 900+ yesterday. wasnt really looking for lifting videos, just ended up there as I was indulging on my youtube addiction. then I just seen this, awesome to make it to where you have. congrats.
God damn Pete, I've been watching your videos since the basement days. You're super inspiring and motivating. Keep up the hard work. I've been wanting to hit 5 plates for 5 reps for a while now and I think this video has helped me break that mental block.
intensity personified. Greatest motivation in lifting I've ever had man, following you since 2012. You're truly one of the greatest lifters of all time. I can't wait to see you pull 1000+lbs.
Pete very strong man... very strong. Like how he has elevated his game... inner beast is all there, but controlled... violent and silent... LONG LIVE PETE "PR" RUBISH!!!!!!!!!!
Good to step back and look at the progress over time like this. Makes all the work/pain/injury worth it to achieve what you set out for. Good shit man.
Greatest video ever!! Thanks for sharing. Shows you were human in the beginning. The Reverse Samson. As the hair got shorter the weights got bigger. You’ve inspired so many.
I believe Pete will muster a 2000lb total this weekend ! He deserves it after his plateaus injuries and setbacks , came on real strong this year I've been following from the washer dryer days. LETS FUCKING GO PETE !
chad likens pretty damn awesome, sometimes though technique can increase which will allow people to lift successfully for a longer period before getting injured which of course puts you back again, also, muscle and strength increase better when form is better, for instance, and not to compare myself to rubish at all here lol but as an example, when I used to bench, it would go up sooooo slowly, then I started retracting my scapula and felt the tension much more on my chest as opposed to just delting the fuck out of it. My bench has still been steadily increasing, however, we both know that his steady progression is also aided by some stronggg performance enhancers, but who cares, he’s performing amazingly heavy lifts, I don’t care if other people take em, has nothing to do with me. I’m only letting you know my position on that matter cuz I don’t want you thinking I was criticizing that aspect of his progress- which I’m totally not.
this is so awesome pete I remember watching you when you were back in the basement and that shit used to get me so hype but your obviously stronger and more under control now, crazy progress!
+Day Col You are right tho,y deadlift hasnt gone up much the past couple months. Im at 455 right now still 16 years old@172 bodyweight. Guess I just have to keep training and Im sure Ill keep seeing progress but not as fast as I was before.
***** 315 to 475 took me less than a year, i never did deadlift variation work untill i pulled 3 plates. once i started doing deficit pulls, stiffleggs and weighted hypers my deadlift progressed almost as fast when i went from 145 to 315 :P
You must be so proud of yourself mate! One of the very few things in life you can achieve & be able to say " it was all me, i did that by myself, my hard work, dedication, blood, sweat & tears " Congrats bro Big & well earned respect
Who would've thought that kid deadliftin in his basement infront of tumble dryers would end up being one of the greatest deadlifters of all time.
That's where it all begins.
Tren is the bomb lol
jump on tren and lets see you pull 920.
***one of the greatest roided deadlifters of all time***
It's fine, just as long as that distinction is made.
All the steroids in the world won't let your bitch ass deadlift that much
That really brings back the memories.Taking the vids, scared for the floor, lol. I think that dropped 600+# started the crater. Oh well, it's fixed now. Great summary of the last several years. I hadn't watched those early ones in a while. Nice to turn back the clock.

the definition of savage grip and rip zero fucks given style in the early clips
The scariest thing is that 920 looks easiest out of all these pulls :D
Exactly. I'm pretty sure he has a grand in him. Will probably hit it in before he's 30.
If he goes up to 275 weight class he'll have it soon.
his technique has changed very much all along
Na not at his current bodyweight. Although it isn't exactly that difficult to put on weight unless you're like 300+ and then you're practically working to gain weight.
+NetherPrime He'll get a grand at 275 max
550-600 pounds deadlift as a teenager and natty. Drugs are nothing without Amazing genetic
Well said my man

Still watch this before every heavy deadlift session. Absolute chills

This is my standard pre deadlift video. Epic. Thanks for putting this compilation together Pete! Glad to see you're doing really well nowadays with life and lifting!
almost forgot to watch this today
How COULD you?!
700 likes 0 dislikes, first time I've ever seen a ratio that good
+Zharoon Zharoon It is, but I don't understand why anybody would give a thumbs down. It should be 2200 to 0.
+Zharoon Zharoon I know. People could also end up here on accident and think, "this guy's way too much...". Most likely it's people who just don't like seeing videos with high likes and zero dislikes. I'm just saying that anybody who lifts and/or likes Pete would live this video.

I've always loved Pete. The intensity is so inspiring. Always celebrating at the top of his lift. Very motivating!

Pete you are crazy dude. it's like the stronger you get the faster you progress
