Hi, thank you for your video. I was trying to find a video on a stenchy/stale smell coming from both the gas fireplace as well as vent above the stove. I am in apartment, and I called maintenance. I have not heard back from them, and it's been over a week 🙄 I have never used the gas fireplace. I moved into this apartment 3-4 months ago these are not brand new apartments maybe 2007? I also do not have pets and do not use any toxic, lab-made scented products of any kind. I covered gas fire with reflectix to try and stop stency smell from blowing in as much as possible 🤢 I am wondering if you have any ideas or anyone I could ask about this? I'm in Washington state thank you so much for your help and time. Diane

I have a hand held gas detector. I held it along the lines, no detection of gas. I held the gas detector inside the burning log area while it was turned on. High level of gas was detected, again I held the detector inside the burning logs. Is it normal to detect gas inside the burning fireplace?

I cant imagine my gas bill if I burned for 20 hours...Can't afford to use this thing

ours doesnt have glass and also it runs on propane so we juts got the house and we are afraid we will use up all our cooking gas
