This is a very valuable lesson I had to learn, luckily it was a caboose and not an engine but it was a custom painted caboose my grandfather did for the railroad I work for. Unfortunately it broke the end handrails and a chunk out of the roof in a similar way as your cab. However I was able to glue the pieces back together and she runs like nothing happened. Just goes to show accidents happen but you can always bounce back
I once had a situation like this, earlier in February I acquired an SD80MAC as a gift, I took it to my club for its first run and since my club has bad track and the locomotives plow hung low it clipped the track and flipped the unit over causing the plow to be sheared off, luckily there was no other damage. I contacted horizon hobby and they sent me a new plow in no time!
Yikes that’s mighty unfortunate also what kind of SD80MAC. Because mines is Conrail as built but Ex Demonstration Unit. I was so lucky I didn’t have a single technical issues. Ditch lights issues and motor noise level. Also only issue is I accidentally ran my SD80MAC with 20 volts which did ruin the tracks.
I have once dropped my 5700 pannier tank . I live in the uk . And the wheel bars on the underside were made from plastic .(not the valve gear) it is more so a step . Anyways I dropped the model and that snapped . Instead of replacing it due to it being an older model second hand I couldn’t . So I just used super glue to glue it back to place and then since there was frosting on the part I just used a black paint pen to fix the issue Problem solved . No more issues besides the front coupler breaking to the unfixableness and me just removing it and the rear coupler pin comming out . Me living in the uk would have the same coupler as the class 37 model Anyways I need some spare couplers anyways and besides that the job will be all done and ready to go and shunt on my layout Oh and the dummy couplers on the model means I can add coupler chains to the front and back like real steam engines have in the UK And I got the model off eBay for £50 so great price I think
I had a Broadway limited big boy derail and fall 4ft off of my layout the same day I bought it. Rather than fixing it myself I sent it in and waited 4 months for the repair. Only the cow catcher was damaged too. The engine now runs like new and you would never know it ever fell.
Damn that's tough, man. I have a locomotive that needs work, and I have no idea how to fix it, so next time, I'm at the train store I gotta get it fixed
Have a friend at the train club who's 844 fell off the helix and was broken. Fortunately, I believe he fixed it, and he also had an older riverossi one.
Damn you're lucky you fixed yours, Im not an HO guy so ive always been used to N scale, but I have the Athearn N scale f59phi Metra Livery and I cant seem to pop the shell off to this day.
I really love trains, so awesome. So; a replica model scale engine that's from these trains back around 1958? I like it, very nice. I love those kinds of trains because these big locomotives were around the 1950s. Some of these trains are still around today, but more modern. Very impressive my friend, keep on going with it
I dropped my BNSF SD40-2 1803, and it’s still kinda falling apart because of a broken fan but it still works like a charm and it’s slated for DCC upgrades soon
I mean it could have been worse I remember being at a model railway club and someone bought a whole DAMMNED flying Scotsman . It was missing the smoke deflectors handrails chimney buffers front coupler back coupler nameplate almost all of the paint . The only way I could tell it was flying Scotsman was the remains of 4472 on the sides Like dammm . But the thing still ran completely fine and one of the people at the club even offered to fix some of the parts like smoke deflectors and rear coupler and the nameplates all from what they had spare The thing came back looking more like scorsman . Tho not perfect looked better than it did before and could finally pull things . It did and the kid went home again . I say kid becasue he seemed five to me Wow I mean don’t buy a kid that model … just get them something like an 0-4-0 or Smokey joe or something that is simple
Wow you got better treatment than I did. They just flat out said we dont have the parts. Its kind of BS that they list part numbers and an exploded diagram if they arent going to carry the parts. I stopped buying Athearn because Horizon Hobby just sucks overall.
I did that with a 28xx out my mates loft it fell out the box it crashed so hard my mate thought i fell and it’s now becoming scrap dressing because of how bad the damage was
i seriously hope we get TRAIN TO BUSAN PART 5555555555555555555555555555555 i hope we get it pleasssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

@@TheFunnyDictator the profile picture has a BNSF locomotive so I‘m just wondering lol
@@darkhorse3535he doesn't
@@NelsonMiranda-uw8er okay, how do you know?
Craftyfoxe: I will now attempt to fix this locomotive.

Biggest nightmare owning a model trains..... Dropped its from your hands....
As a repairman at Rapido trains, this hurt my head. If you’re using too much force on a detail part, don’t push it
I must say, that thing is tough. Dropped from such a height, made a dent in floor and broke off only two small pieces, WOW
Id imagine it's pretty heavy. At least it wasn't a brass train
Ouch, that sucks! Have done that before, and it's never fun at all.

Dude pulled a Linus Tech Tips move 😂 I've done this multiple times over the years so I know this feeling all too well 😂

Ironically 2 nights ago I dreamt of having an Athearn Genesis 844 and this video popped up this morning
taking bets on the next model railway youtuber to drop their model
Damn you're lucky you fixed yours, Im not an HO guy so ive always been used to N scale, but I have the Athearn N scale f59phi Metra Livery and I cant seem to pop the shell off to this day.
You broke more than by dropping it
844 is my favorite engine
This reminds me of rbp dropping big boy
Dang I hope you can get it fixed anyway nice video
I binned my Walthers GEVO off a 38” table and the steps on the front right were off and I fixed it now it has a strange sound from the front truck.
At this point it’s where’s Waldo under EVERY model train video…

I feel your pain bro 😭
Rip 844
I think you did great with those replacements!
Amazing
I so sorry for 844
You should get a pere Marquette 1225 and a blur goose locomotive
To use this locomotive I think I have to place cotton everywhere so it will be safe 😢😮😅
Dang, out of all locomotives, sorry man.
Coll steam train😁👍
I dropped my Cornish riveiera express many times it’s broke now and it doesn’t run
RIP bro that’s tough
I dropped my BNSF SD40-2 1803, and it’s still kinda falling apart because of a broken fan but it still works like a charm and it’s slated for DCC upgrades soon
The most scariest part about keeping detailed locomotives is damaging them
hi bro
Great video! Please do not leave your locomotives out of their packaging again.
I love your video's
I dropped someone’s completed Revell Titanic Model, and I’m still trying to put it pack together
Love the video
Bro I sat on my UP C30-7, I busted it. It’s still running Strong!
I feel bad for laughing but this video reminds me of me, I'm constantly accidentally breaking stuff trying to fix it 😂

Do you have any advice for an ho scale layout
If this gets to top comment craftyfoxe will have to stack all containers into one well car
I'm putting a decoder in my UP 844, where did you get the replacement parts from?
Next time don't clean train at midnight and wait for the morning

Eh not the stupidest thing in model railroading. It happens.
I did this with my dads childhood chessie system 8412 diesel locomotive and it’s a rare vintage model
I need advice please
First, it was the big boy that got dropped now it’s the 844
.Good video, like
You should get a broadway version of 844 full diecast better detail
You should try a bachmann steam locomotive like 2-8-0 or 2-8-2
Ayo first right here (love the vid btw)!
My n scale 844 fell off the table before. That was a nightmare.
ES & D moment
0:22 Doh!
I have two GS-4 and NYC Niagara Pennsylvania 0-6-0 and UP Overland Northern type all in disrepair 😢
NOOO, not my most favorite American stream engine 😭😭
You should review Bachmann ho scale Amtrak city sprinters ACS-64 set
I have dropped my Gray ho Union Pacific 809 before and because it was an earlier model it is not even running anymore I’m still trying to fix it.
Sa va aller 😂😅
What
My God I did something similar with my hornby princess royal Margaret Rose
You should get a 4 axle dash 8
Hey crafty foxe can we be friends?
Можешь ли ты вернутся к анимация по Майнкрафт? Так классно было с ними ❤❤
