"Idaho" lol. Reference to "Duncan Idaho" from "Dune". I won't spoil the saga for anyone that hasn't read it but the reference is more than just a name drop it seems.

eh no? it just has 3 endings that you can pick. just play the final level 3 times, choose each ending, ta-dah. nothing wrong with it but your past decisions affects only your progress so far.
I'm really digging these longer episodes! P.S. This is another Humble Games banger. Only the best published under them

NGL, the first time I saw this game I passed it over, but holy hell, this game looks incredible and it seems right up my alley.
Watching in 2022 and this is one of the rare games that has me hooked from the start. Unique, diverse and engaging! Can't wait to pick this up

This is probably one of those games I'd play. That last scene with the kids just wow strapping themselves with explosives just to kill imperials...
Calling it right now, the emotional response that the admiral had was to turn off all the OMNI because he saw they were doing something repulsive to the people they were supposed to be overseeing and protecting. That or they were spies for the other machines or something, but the OMNIs are definitely not as benevolent as Kaliban would have you think.

I listened to this for 28 seconds and heard "like" six times. I couldn't take any more.
During his explanation intro I was thinking "Duncan Idaho ghola." Couple minutes later, the Admiral's name is Idaho.

The Android version of this game is free on Play Pass, so I think I'm gonna try it out. Though it isn't really my go-to gameplay style, I do like just about any type of roguelike/lite, and this game just has some really neat art and story depth. I also gotta say, the idea of finding battleships with rarity colors and stuff with different attributes and effects seems to give it the feeling of getting a new sword or armor in say a game like Diablo 2. That, I think, is actually really bad ass! This seems like a very innovative game. Can't wait to try it!

Seriously though bro, ive been watching your and subscribes since your days in Ark and Subnautica and i really enjoy your content. You can always tell if your going to like these types of videos by the persons voice and personality rather quickly. And you are among a list i can count on two hands that i absolutely will stop to watch a video from.
I just started to play the game and love it...my bet is:
the omnis started an independence/conquer war against humans and the original Idaho managed to switch them off to stall their advance dying in the process! Kaliban was of the grid so he's unaffected but due to the rubycon directive he cannot pilot a warship needed to make his way to home planet so he needs the human crew. Kaliban will be the end boss after assembling his motley ai crew!

FYI, Kaliban is the name of the monster servant from Shakespeare's play, "The Tempest". He is NOT a good guy.

Never trust a town (or ship) with only kids. I mean, Children of the Corn is right there.
Man this looks so much better than ftl they really improved the genre. And even added ground missions
First: It is actually sci-fi story. Not simple science fantasy one.
Second: This game has one of the darkest stories to tell.
Third: Bought game for gameplay, but finished because of story.

Yeah them kids are savages. If you have an officer with diplomacy, you'll expose them. Even so, they will still attack you with their ship and you're forced to kill them all. This game is dark.

I played this a while back, my only complaint is that when going between zones you lose all your ship upgrades, which kinda killed the incentive to put a lot of work into sprucing up your ship. overall pretty fun though.
how does this upgrade losing work and is this still the case?
