Thank you for sharing ideas. I’ll look forward to seeing your bag show and tell. 😊 I am grateful for you…..and the peace that comes with slow stitching. 💖💖💖
Isn't that the truth, when I stitch I go right into the zone! I decided to make the bag and do a video. I think it will be helpful for others to see how since it's not the ordinary way with the seams. ❤️❤️❤️
Love these dots so much! Went to my local thrift stores this week to scope out some fabric ideas. So far it's all in my head, but I'm very thankful to have found your channel. I'm recently retired and feeling a bit unfocused. Can't wait to see more! Thanks so much.
Wonderful and I LOVE shopping at the thrift shop for my art supplies. It's so exciting when you find something that you know will just work out perfectly! ❤️
Your dots are really beautiful. Love them! I like how you explain and show your process. Adding this project to my to-do list. Thank you so much for sharing!
Oh here you are! I watched your video and left a comment! Dot away! ❤️❤️❤️ My friend Barbara told me she saw it... But I see you did your mention correctly, YT will see it and let me know when you post it like this..... @JeriBellini we need that @ sign... wish more people would know that so they can be thanked and their video watched by their inspirer... I just went on a rant! LOLOLOLLLOLL Thank you again! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love that you framed your dots! So awesome. Now I want to make dots. lol You are so inspiring. I'm in the process of moving and all my crafts are packed and I'm so frustrated that I can't create when I see things like this. Soon. I will be creating again...soon. Love your channel!!! 💜
Ughh, I KNOW what you mean! I. moved not too long ago and it's a nightmare. I wish you had a small basket full of things, it makes the moving a bit easier if you can sit and stitch here and there. You need some hugs, they are on their way over! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I had a whole thing typed out and it got lost. i don't even have a leaf blower to distract me. [ I think I just shouldn't try to multitask any more]. It was chattier than this... :) :) You make friends here with your extra wonderful graceful ways and stories. The dot assembly process isn't my favorite part but my finished first one makes me so happy, all the prep is worth it! Yes...we would love to see your bag!! the framed one is elegant and the others truly homey and fun. Special. Thanks for here and for FB.
I decided to film the bag, it's such a unique way of making it. And thank you for your comment. And really it does not matter how you do something, just keep moving! ❤️❤️❤️
I haven’t even started ‘dotting’ yet, I have a couple of projects cut out and with recently diagnosed nerve damage to my hands, it’s all a bit slow going. I will make some though, soon.
Howdee Jeri! The dots are inspiring me to creative thinking on overdrive - a belt, bottom of funky pants, bottom of a circle skirt, a book marker, etc! Oneness, wholeness, unity, etc. - a circle is what you make of it. Grateful for you! x's lj
I found your channel because I loved the thumbnail of your beautiful dots and I can’t get enough of your sweet and informative videos - thank you for such a lovely inspiration for mindful stitching and to learn to give up stress, anxiety and perfectionism. Happy to subscribe to your channel ❤
Watched the video again. Nice picture. So elegant. Is there a way to tell the difference between cotton and a polyester cotton blend? I’m trying to figure out which old fabric I can use for the dot squares.
Yes, use a lighter and burn it, do it over the sink just in case things go south. Cotton after it's burned will have a soft edge, anything with poly will get crunchy after it's burned. ❤️
That looks so pretty in the frame. I don't know if you have seen my post on Facebook but I received a heart in my shopping cart. It made me so happy. So if I go crazy and make a bunch. I want to do that for someone. To brighten their day❤
Do you mean on regular FB or in our FB community? I love doing random acts of kindness! I cleaned up my neighbors yard recently to surprise them... and I put soda can flowers here and there in peoples yards. I don't go on the regular FB one much. I love the frame myself! ❤️
I saw your heart, and I looked up the web site, it's wonderful! How lucky you are! You could make a heart and put a dot in the center of it! We could start a movement! Someone in the FB group called the dots a "Dottie" Uh oh... my brain is working on overload!!!! Ha! ❤️
Jeri I loved the black mat around the dots but when you put the brown frame around it didn't look as good. I suggest you keep the black mat and add a simple narrow black frame to it. This is meant as a positive critique. Your dots are fabulous and catching! ❤
Hi Jeri, I just found you last week and started following you! I love your dot projects…I can see a cute vest, jacket or scarf from the dots. Also, I love love your heart earrings. Did you make them or know when I can get a pair?!?
Oh! I didn't realize you could even see them! I used to own a bead store, it was called My Father's Beads, I named it after my dad that passed away, and one of my employees made them.
Oh that is so sweet. Well I love those earrings and I’m a heart collector so I’m hey caught my eye right away. Have a wonderful day. Thinking of my dad today who we lost tragically to Covid in 2020.
@@louiseregan9353 I am so sorry about your dad. And I am a heart collector too!!!!! Have been my whole life. Didja notice I give everyone a heart and each month I change the color! If you said something mean, you don't get one! LOLLOL ❤ Once in a BLUE moon I miss leaving one, but that is RARE!
Hi Jerry. I have stitched a few squares & 1 dot (circle). Ugh, it was tedious. I'm sure it will get easier, but did I understand you to say you don't turn under the circles made from t-shirt fabric? That sounds much easier to me. Thanks for clarifying!
Right, I did not, I just gut them out and stitched them down. You can also just stitch down raw edge circles, they will not fray badly, since most of them are on the bias anyhow. Plus who doesn't love a raw edge??? LOL 💜💜💜
Hi Jeri, would it be okay if I put my circles into a fabric journal, I am not one for squares and appliqué, mine would be raw edges. Much love Ann 🏴 UK
Hi Robyn, I sent you a message about it! I used Invisible Basting Stitches. If you dont' know what that is, check out my 10 Minute Technique Playlist, Invisible Basting. 💜💜💜
I have no business starting a new project 😆 but I like the idea of just making dots.
Thank-you Jeri for your inspiration!
💛🧡❤️
HA! I think most of us can say the same! Have fun! ❤️❤️❤️
I framed one of my dots in a cast iron pan 4" round and hung it in my kitchen. I named it my "small fry".
OH MY GOSH, I want to see it! 💜💜💜💜💜
They look great in the frame, also I love the idea of applique onto bigger squares too. Hugs Jer ❤❤❤
Thanks Kathryn! It's all about layers! 💜💜💜
You could embellish a jacket or vest with the dots. Or you could make a patchwork jacket or vest out of the squares.
What a GREAT IDEA! ❤️
The dots would make a cute pillow.
They most definitely would! ❤️
I made my first dot today. A bit more rustic, as it became a page decoration in my junk journal. Thanks for the great idea!
Love that it's in a book! I WANT to get back to my bookmaking! ❤️

You can mix various fabrics in a project like this if it’s for display purposes only and will not be washed. Just a suggestion!
