As much as all the legions make for great material for remaining antagonists in the world, I'd appreciate it if at least one of them, was presented as allies from the get-go, to offer something a bit different.

My main theory in that regard for months is that whatever legion would end up being the defense force of the Capital would be our ally.
That legion ended up being the Third which was tempered, but in the end it was the remnants of both the First and Third that came to our aid during the Terminus attack.

@@WyrmLimion Pretty sure not this next expansion but the one/two after is most likely going to be a complete united Eorzea [and potentially even other shards] against some galactic threat and take place on different planets so it wouldn't be too surprising if Garlemald by the start of the next expansion is completely allied with everyone [most likely will tie up loose ends in the next few patches].
The expansions leading up to some endgame space scenario would be more wandering of Eorzea [most likely the next expansion with meracydia/new world] and the one after that will most likely be us going to a different shard and potentially saving the 13th as well as hinted during the void quests in shadowbringers.
I think Garlemald has had enough of a role so far and with the ark ended I have a feeling they will want to get away from more Garlean fighting

@@Cneq I can't really expect that to come within a handful of years. I don't think it should either. The next few expansions can't and SHOULD NOT present anything as grand as The Final Days and the Endsinger; that needs another decade of setup so as not to feel hollow.

@@Cneq I see it as maybe some other star managed to hold off the Endsinger like Eitherys and now they want revenge and/or to make sure Eitherys can NEVER do that again. This way even when they realize the civilization that made Endsinger is long gone they still feel destroying Eitherys is something that needs to be done for the safety of all. So have an existential threat that is very much not evil, but frightened, partially justified and maybe even regretful.

Bozja's ending made me think that what Lyon and Noah did was transfer Noah's consciousness into something like Save the Queen, a weapon made of auracite, until later notice when he would posess another body.
That Lyon turned Sicinius in makes me even more suspicious, with Sicinius having been part of the Resonant research, and likely the person who gave Misija Mikoto's Echo.

    • @SaphireDragon89
      @SaphireDragon89 2 роки тому +1

It's also worth noting that Sicinius invented what amounts to body snatching technology during the events of Bozja as seen with Dabog's story. So it is easy to imagine both your idea or Sicinius simply transferring Noah's memories into a new body.

Weren't Nerva or his father, Titus, referred to as a coward in previous expansions? I forget who would've said it though... It's been a while. But if so, I wouldn't be surprised if he ran and left his loyal men behind.
Edit: I believe I remember who called who weak, and it was Lyon calling Nerva a weak and cowardice man. However, Lyon is a man who finds thrill in battle and Nerva appears to be a tactical mind of sorts. Lyon would find men like him a coward because they're not eager to charge in like he is.
Also it might be possible that Nerva is much younger than we may be thinking. He could be younger than Zenos even, as Titus was remarked to have no suitable heir for the throne.
I want to meet Nerva, because I don't believe he was really commented on in Endwalker despite us fighting his men.

We're gonna be seeing a lot of turmoil not only between Garlemald and the rest of the world, but within itself as well. Knowing what we know now, we will most likely have to deal with the aftermath, reestablish their government in some way, and try to form treaties, but we know for a fact that there's gonna be a ton of opposition on both sides. On one hand, you could possibly see conflicts between the Eorzean Alliance as well as the people itself if treaties and reparations were to be involved. Those who are open to establishing relationship, but then those who wish to see Garlemald burn. On the other hand, you have those in Garlemald who don't wish to repeat the same mistakes as the Galvus family had done and establish a more open and democratic government where a senate or parliament would be established, but there will also be imperial loyalists who wish to reclaim the empire, using the opportunity to rebuild and stoke the flames of war. It's gonna be a very messy situation, messier than Ala Mhigo and a LOT messier than Ishgard and Dravania. At the forefront of this conflict, our new antagonist could possibly be someone who wants to reestablish Zenos's legacy and create chaos amongst all the turmoil or reclaim the empire as their own and usher in a new age of rule. Or they could possibly be someone who wishes to wipe Garlemald off the face of the planet, regardless if it means putting the lives of Ethyris at risk. Whatever the case may be, Garlemald still has to atone for its actions and reparations must be made amongst the rest of the world.
Either that or we will probably get a sidestory of Garlemald restoration projects, which would be possible. Honestly, I don't mind either being the case, part of me wants to be done with Garlemald and have them be a potential ally in future expansions, but I'm also interested to see how relations would develop.

Further theory time: I think we'll soon see the XIth Legion in the upcoming Echoes of Vana'Diel content. So far, some of the Legions we have seen have all had details associated with the Final Fantasy game of the same number. The VIth was investigating Azys Lla, which contained the Warring Triad, deities from Final Fantasy VI. The VIIth oversaw Project Meteor and the Emerald, Ruby, and Diamond Weapons, all concepts from Final Fantasy VII. Therefore, if we're getting content from Vana'Diel, the world of Final Fantasy XI, logic would dictate that we stand a good chance of learning about the XIth Legion.

Galemald Reconstruction pls look forward to it lol
on a more serious note tho i suspect we'll have to deal with a loyalist group at some point but the majority of the garlean people are broken or scattered and likely have no intention to fight back they'll probably join their loved ones once the city is rebuilt and habitable again and i can see the populares being revived to serve as a diplomatic body that negotiates goods an services traded between Eorzea and Ilsabard and who knows Cid might even play a role in helping his people walk a better path when he's not busy trying to explore the galaxy xD
but yea i figure they'll bring a faction of garlean loyalists that want to plunge eorzea into war which we'll have to defeat or crush their leaders before we can finally say no more garlean shenanigans lol
plus their are still tempered ascians >.> so much for ending their saga why they didnt bring them into enwalker is anyone's guess at this point but they are still out there and at large an without any leadership to real their impulses in they are very dangerous if left to their own devices.

    Garlemald? More like *Gonelemald.*
As a more serious side note: it was mentioned that The Darnus’s family rules Corvos, and from what we know of the Darnus family they are pretty crazy. I theorize that may be our Eureka/Bozja for Endwalker, should one exist, with the garlean contingent stationed in Corvos serving as the villian trying to awaken some Allagan thing on the island. My main reason is that Corvos was mentioned way too much during 6.0’s story for us to just never go there during the expantion at some point.
