ua-cam.com/video/mfRflJPJZ7I/v-deo.html listen to this song please
React Ana Carolina e seu Jorge ( é isso aí)
Ah - kind of a bummer that they didn’t suggest the version from Salival (a Tool EP that’s mostly live recordings). It’s very good quality. In fact, it’s not only probably the best live recording of this song available, but possibly the best recording of it period.
In any case, thanks again for the great reaction!
Agreed! Beth if you want quality live recordings, do material from Salival. Check out Pushit live!
Exactly. Stole my thunder 👍
I thought the same thing. She must know this by now. She probably wants to see him singing.
She already did the salival version. Search .
Thought that when vid started. It is def. Also No quarter. I have the limited edition Sulival CD box from Tool so stoked I got it years ago.
What about the 2nd half of the song?
Bummer, you missed the best, most operatic portion of the song at the end. If nothing else, do yourself a favor and just go listen to it.
Awe, it cut almost half of the song :(
Poor quality video anyway
You don’t know how to end it because it wasn’t the end. Seriously the best part of the song is missing. I got super excited when I saw this on my feed because I think this might be my favorite song on the planet. I implore you to listen to the song in it’s entirety either on Aenima or salival. It’s amazing. Keep the tool stuff coming because I know myself and a bunch of tool fans will be here. And maybe a bunch of people who have never heard them will open up to their music. G’day.
You always smile when Beth appears on your notifications.
Simp
Especially when it’s Tool
Sarah’s got it
@@lxllipop. And I'm simping hard for that fire haired beauty.
I'm a simple man. Beth reacts to a TOOL song, I hit the like button.
Love the picture. A beautiful boy
PRYING OPEN MY THIRD EYE!!!
This was the first time I saw Tool, at 17. Life changing performance to say the least. Pretty sure I have this somewhere on vhs. Picture quality is what it is, but the sound is amazing. So weird to see this 20yrs later getting a reaction. My reaction at the show, mouth agape in utter astonishment. Plus Maynard in drag and up front gyrating like a broken Marinette.
“I really don’t know how to end that”..... how about at the end?
Good one😂 it’s a shame it cut off so much
hahaha seriously
Wait a minute what happened to the rest of the song? The Apex is coming! Well good reaction nevertheless
which apex? lol
"it's hard to find a quality recording of him live"
Picks the shittiest quality recording possible... Love you Beth 😜
Ignorant comment. Ive been watching tool bootlegs for 25 years and they get way worse than this! : )
@krvnjrcbs you're wrong!
@krvnjrcbs It's not a great recording at all, duh. Not sure what you are on about.
Do you always use these same nonsensical methods when pointlessly arguing? I'm guessing yes.
@krvnjrcbs This is feigned ignorance and you're just being obnoxiously passive aggressive because it's fun to troll people online. Nothing wrong with that, really.
I actually had this concert bootleg on VHS back in the day. I ordered it from the back of a magazine. I loved it because not only was the performance incredible, the audio and video were actually much BETTER than many of the bootlegs. So yes, to say this is the worst recording ever shows an ignorance of the plethora of terrible TOOL bootlegs we fans have suffered through. Hopefully TOOL puts out a real pro shot concert but if not I'll settle for the 5 live shows I've been to and the hundreds of hours of bootlegs I've watched.
Yes, more Tool!!!
I'm loving watching your reactions to my favourite bands, and I feel like I'm learning a lot about singing too.. so thank you, Beth! Your passion is much appreciated 👌🏻
Ouch, you missed the higher-pitched verses and screams at the end.
Awww, what about the end of the song?
No final prying open my third eye lyrics, best part, cut it off too early😕love you Beth!!!!!! 💚💚💚
Saw the notification for the video at the start of my work shift and had to wait until after work to watch it... TORTURE! haha
I always ALWAYS love to see you talk about MJK's vocals and just generally be impressed/surprised/confunded by his rather different way of performing.
Fab video, as always :D
"He's going to make himself dizzy doing that!" - Beth
I'm pretty sure that's why he's doing it xD
Don't worry Beth. Hes built up a helluva tolerance for that shit.
It has been fun watching you appreciate and understand Tool more deeply as you scurry further down the rabbit hole. There's so much for you to discover there, and in turn discover about yourself. Like many others, I'm excited for you.
Love that you spend so much time with this genre
Hes wearing a bra, it's one of his outfits, if you were curious. He never really says why he wears the stuff. But he is awsome.
I heard it is when he was a single dad
@@tremblfr I dont think hes single. Ehe
I think he was at the time, I think I read it on a special magazine of tool, but I dont care enough to search for it :)
@@tremblfr I looked into it. It's kind of like exposure therapy. Making yourself comfortable in uncomfortable situations. Maynard was never a single dad, he has a wife and kids. His parents did divorce, but the outfits didnt have anything to do with that. Thank you, have a good day!
She knows what a fucking bra looks like, dumbass. Lmao delete this
Happy to have you back!
You explain vocals nuances so beautifully. And you are absolutely mesmerizingly beautiful
Surprised to see this one! One of my absolute favorite performances.
Just happy to see Beth uploads again 😀 Hope all's well.
thank you for continuing to do live tool. i would like to recommend that you do either descending live. there is one that is extremely high quality. but if you do any live tool then i shall be a very happy man. please keep up the amazing work
This was back during his prime in the late 90s.. I saw them in Cleveland Nov 2019.. Despite the fact they are all in their 50s they put the best concert ive ever seen.. Even at 56 Maynard still has an amazing voice.
You're the sweetest of sweethearts. You're the perfect person to do this. Your joy is apparent.
I was at this show it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen and I've seen dozens of shows.
I really appreciate the effort you took to find a live performance where the vocals are clear enough for you to analyze. That's probably really hard with all the fan recordings. Third Eye was a very intriguing choice to land on. Very abnormal song, yet it's my favorite from the album.
Thank you for doing Third Eye, not enough people have, I appreciate it!
I cant believe you reacted to this. Third eye wasnt one of my top tool favs until I saw them play it live. The way they incorporate their lighting system with their style in Third Eye is breathtaking. UA-cam doesn't do it justice. If your a fan of this song, see them live.
Can you do something on the recorded version of "ticks and leaches" and the story of him blowing out his vocal cords for it?
Love to see Beth actually enjoying, & immersing herself in, the TOOL 👁🖤
that little roar in the intro makes me smile every time :D
Literally almost fell out of my chair when I saw Beth reacting to Tool, and then did a double take when I saw the song is Third Eye! I feel like there should've been a global announcement to all Toolheads for this video.
They opened with this song back in like 2009. Such a good show
Same concert Salival ! So good.
After this song I have exactly the same feeling as you described. It's different, interesting and calling anything else 'normal music' is both incorrect and completely correct at the same time 🤣
Love your Tool reactions, always hyped to watch them but that was absolutely criminal skipping the 2nd half of the song. NEVER cut a Tool song, especially the second half which is always the best half- with the songs climax. Plus, I don’t know how you find it so difficult to find good quality recordings of Tool, there’s literally hundreds on UA-cam.... I’d recommend ‘The Patient, live 2010 St. Charles, MO’ absolutely phenomenal performance with crystal clear audio and great quality visuals aswell
Wow what a song to review, keep going down the tool rabbit hole please
This was from the late 90's. I've seen him do 3rd Eye twice in the past 10 years. ……. He is a bit older now and doesn't quite do that first roar as hard as he use to. Still amazing. If they ever tour in your area I would highly recommend you take the opportunity. Even if they aren't your favorite band a Tool concert is an experience that won't be forgotten.
Love your channel
I was wondering when you were going to do more TOOL!
You've done a fantastic break down
First! So happy you are reacting to Tool, Beth 🙂 check out Right in Two, one of their best songs in my opinion and very it's melodic, I think you would love it.
MAYNARD LO MAS GRANDE DEL MUNDOOO
REACT TO LETHIAN DREAMS, OR MORE KARNIVOOL. DREDG, RISHLOO., THEY ARE GOOD SINGERS TO.
Your videos are kinda addictive, and there's a lot! Such a hard worker. I would love to see you react to Hiatus Kaiyote - Nakamarra (Live in Revolt) if it is possible. I'm loving your videos.
The video of Tool performing H. at The Glass House in '96 is well worth a watch!

Need to turn up the volume for your listeners. Love your reviews and turn it up. Thanks
Thanks for the tips about screaming! I'd love to see what you think about Jon Mess and his various pitches of screaming. The songs "Say Hi" and "Man of the Year" by Dance Gavin Dance are a couple of examples!
Please do this again with a full and different recording ! 😢 🙏🙏
Your eagle noise is the cutest thing I've heard in months.
OMG. How did I miss this?
Just gotta say, that tiny little "raawr" at the end of your intro effing kills.
Let's see a PART 2!
Yer so awesome.
Wrawr. Imma do that as my msg tone.
I was at this show.
One of the best songs for his long drawn out effortless power notes is 4 Degrees. One of their most underrated songs ever.
The fan recording of push it live after this song is really good also
I love the shirt
TOOL ❤️
There's a perfectly mixed version on Salival, no video though. Same album that Push It is on
You should check out "You Lied "off the Salival album. Its a cover from the bassists previous band Peach. Would love to see your reaction to it, not a lot of lyrics but i think the whole song is beautifully done.
Gosh this is old haha ...love it.
Ah man! That’s half the song! Missed so much good stuff!
Check out The Pixies - Tame. First time I ever heard breath used as music
Never thought I'd hear a Beyonce comparison on a Tool reaction
YEEEEESSS
I saw Maynard James Keenan at a grocery store in Los Angeles once. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
What’s not to love about a gorgeous scottish lass who sings and loves TOOL?😍🌻🌹
I really like thenmix of genres for your reaction videos. Though I would like to see you to react to one of Gregory Porter (e.g. 'It's Probably Me' at the Polar Music Prize Ceremony 2017). Keep it comin'!
Beth, I’d love, love, love, to see your take on Chis Cornell’s cover of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean”.
Opening your third eye is a metaphor for the awakening of the intellect, where you break through from the world of symbols into the world of _being_ . You're able to see through the illusory nature of experience and perceive the world not just through form but through the emptiness that contains it. Everything is re-contextualized into a higher meta-framework and the perspectival/relativistic nature of reality becomes an obvious and ever-present part of experience. The two wordly eyes, along with the other sensory apparatuses, establishes perception through the senses, while the third eye establishes perception through intuition, intellect and awareness itself; it's an amalgamation of meta-perception and meta-cognition.
Oh I thought it was something you do when you have trouble pushing out a turd of formidable size
it's named for the traditional eastern practice of forcing a rod into someone's anus so as to awaken the kundalini
I was really looking forward to the reaction to one of my favorite songs. Sadly, the video used is a live video with poor audio quality. I really wish you could do the album recording one or the music video..
she's finally back, still think you should do some straight audio reactions
You should react to "Red Light" by Tallah, they're very talented and the vocalist mixes many screaming/singing techniques at once :)
Um, is there a part 2 to this review coming?
It's importan to say also that Maynard has been practicing martial arts since he was a teenage with his father. Also been in the army voluntarily. I mean its interestin historically, as things that conformed him as a person, bodily and mentally, to put it that way
you can react to "Devin Townsend", I would love the song "Kingdom" or "deadhead", greetings from Chile.
Hello not sure how to ask this in doing a challenge to sing 4 songs next week now I sing like a puck goat but as I do off the grid viking stuff and big fan of your work do you know of any warm up stuff I could do that won't turn most of the listeners deaf
What I think Beth is trying to say is he perfectly makes the perfect imperfect in a perfectly imperfect way... I think...
Pretty sure him and Tori Amos are friends and she calls him a great singer, so yea...
You're correct. They've performed together numerous times with the song, Muhammad, my friend.
ua-cam.com/video/64LnAIC9RWo/v-deo.html
She also used to get him to sing her to sleep lol
Norman Breau soooooo good.
Hey man, how's the rug?
@@Reverend_Harrison86 it really ties the room together
"É ISSO AÍ "- Seu Jorge, Ana Carolina, pls
They often use a vocal extension effect when live
Have you tried his other works? Puscifer and A Perfect Circle. Worth a listen.
The song is also dedicated to the comedian Bill Hicks who passed away from cancer in his 30s. Bill hicks endorsed expansion of the mind through psychotropic drugs
Beth pleeeeaaaasseeee react to Tom Grennan’s “This is the place” live at the Holy Trinity Morgan Street
@Beth, you need to redo this. The version of TY from Salival is a live recording and you cut the song in the middle.....
Beth! Please please listen to Momma Sed Live by Puscifer...
More tool ! Or at least more Maynard please !
hahaha, good ol Maynard in a bra... never gets old
Can you react to led zeppelin rock and roll live in sydney 1972. Plant is a beast there
🤩🤩
The time looks short. But I bet this is going to be greee3eaaaat
Pretty sure 97'/98' was the tour they used recordings for the salival album🤔
