Something interesting I found is that if I hit the button hard a few dozen times, the double click issue goes away. It's probably the oxidized layer coming off from the copper plate. Not sure how permanent this fix is though, I may have to do it again in a few months if the issue comes back. The same goes for the scroll wheel. Sometimes it scrolled in the opposite direction so I hit it a few dozen times hard and scrolled it pretty vigorously for a while and it seems it fixed that too. Again, probably not a permanent solution, but hey, it seems to be working fine now so I'm happy.
u made my day, I just clicked it hard for 2 minutes, rotated the wheel occasionally, wiggled it from left to right, and when I retried the function of the wheel, it was 100%, It made me smile :D Your post is better than the whole video
Holy moly this actually works dont know till when but i can confirm it works just after reading this comment and hard hitting my mouse button ... Thanks a ton😘
Worked flawlessly and it's pretty much my first time trying to fix a mouse. Best of all, i have like other three G203 stored with similar issues which i probably could get working just as well! Thank you so much for this guide.
I thought I was the only one who blows through it. 🤣🤣🤣 I do it everyday. It works for a long time. But if you keep on rest then you will have to blow it again or else you will face some double click issues.
WARNING GUYS -> Make sure you don’t get the wd-40 solution to your optical sensor, i sprayed generously and it flowed down to the sensor. I had to disassemble the sensor and dry it out with alcohol to make it work again. Apart from that the solution is legit to make the switches work
Dear author! Thanks a lot for your video, it's quite a simple way to repair the annoying wheel issue. A simple WD-40 and a tiny screwdriver could do miracles. With best wishes
Thank you so much brother. It actually worked for me. After suffering for more than a week finally I was able to open my G102 and spray some liquid with alcohol after that it is working fine, smoothly. Just got some issue with mouse skates. I had to be very careful about that. so whoever wants to try it, remove carefully those skates otherwise you have to buy new skates for you mouse.
I ripped out the rubber of my scroll wheel because its melting and dust and dirts just sticks on it. then I cleaned my desk, placed my g102 on it in up sidedown position, held it in my hand making sure the scroll wheel is making contacts on the desk I started sliding the mouse up and down, this rubs the scroll wheel up and down removing any possible dirt and grime on it, keep doing it until it fixes scrolling issue.
WD 40 is a non conductive fluid so there is no risk of short-circuit but it is flammable. The risk of fire break is very low in mouse. Unless you pass a very very high current through it that burns the main ic right after spraying it near the ic. Keep pressing for 1-2 mins
i have seen on reddit that people are replacing the switches with gm 8.0 kalih ,are the switches of the mouse physically defective (something is broken?)? or is it an corrosion issue.
if you have a problem with you scroll wheel I recommend you to just spray the metal lubricant just in the space on the sides of the mouse wheel just so you don't ruin your warranty or possibly ruin your mouse
@@encryptedguy no, it isn't lubricant, it's most known as "contact cleaner", and leaves no waste behind, like Wd40 wich have oil that never leaves the piece. Oil is nice only because protect against future rust but think im going to clean with isopropyl alcohol and leave clean until i need to fix again
@@edgarmagno2847 my daughter throw mouse to the ground and then worked fine again, but I bet cintact cleaner (isopropyl alcohol) can solve it to. I use everywhere from cars to PCs and works everytime
LOL cant believe this worked, or maybe it was just because of the dust, I had the scroll wheel problem where If I scroll down it would be erratic and scroll up vice versa, sprayed wd40 and dried it off a bit and dusted off grime sticked onto the wheel then bam the scroll issue is gone, hope it fixed it or maybe this is just temporary but anyways thanks lol, I don't want to buy another g102 for almost 20USD.
hey i sprayed wd40 and it fixed my broken scroll wheel, but now the sensor to register mouse movement is not working. when i slide my mouse on my table, the cursor does not move and stays in the same place
This G102 comes with a 2yrs warranty and in this time period I am currently on my 3rd Mouse (Original then first replacement then now.. second replacement). G102 is an absolute piece of shit when it comes to scroll wheel and Logitech is least concerned about this. Within 6months.. all the mouse went crazy with their scrollwheel. I saw similar problem in Asus ROG & Corsair mouse too. Is there any brand who's mouse can last at least 2-3yrs without going crazy? Please suggest.
Totally agreed. The cost of travelling to service center so many times for replacement migh get equal to the price of the mouse. It is better to repair it yourself.
fixed but fucked up the the pads xd the glue on pads gone and tried to glue it but didnt worked like old and yea, it works now but not like the new one

I did't opened the mouse but i used a dropper and pin pointed the scroll whell to drop rubbing alcohol. It worked like charm.
this worked like a charm, thanks for commenting this lol
Thanks, this fixed it
i just pored some alcohol sloppily on my mouse wheel and it fixed it immediately
Can You explain how you managed to pour rubbing alcohol without opening the mouse?
Thank you! this worked for me. need more WD40 than I expected to fix the wheel pots. but this is so helpful. my G102 came back to life.
This works! I used this method for fixing my glitching scroll. Thanks!
My Scroll up not working Sometimes will it work ?
Yes@@thaamagaming1388
If your mouse is not broken and its double clicking, just blow through the mouse it will be fixed, works for me.
WTF Bro. It Worked. LOL. Thanks Man.
bro can you tell me where to blow to fix it.

Bro, you just saved the universe. Thanks! Never thought it could be this simple.
May I know what mm of screwdriver were you using??
Blowing compressed air inside a button from the top, will fix it. I fixed 2 g102 mouses that way. No need for spraying any liquid inside.
omg this is amazing it worked, i tried so many method to stop the double clicking, down to running some command in cmd and all i need was wd 40 SMH

bro does it no pose a fire hazard to the mouse? also how long do you need to let it sit so that the solution will not drip inside?

just sprayed a little of the wd40 from the gap between the scroll and it works!
