Always liked sidecar racing and always stuck around to watch them race when they raced at the end of a race meeting.
it's a great move to hook up with the superbike championship. I always enjoyed watching the sidecar guys hanging it out.
Amazing race. Awesome video.
What an enjoyable race
Great footage. Love the slow mos.

@@mtl-ss1538 how is this relevant to my comment? Sadly I was too young to see Ivan Mauger race.
😃 das habe ich ja noch nie gesehen! Echt lustig wie der Beifahrer da immer am rumklettern ist!
Great race is it 600cc now for world championships?
excellent.
anyone know if i can see le mans and hungary and if not, why?
Thank you for all comments. points noted.
Check out some of the footage from 2stroke days.!!!
I'm amazed the yanks don't do this, I'd love to see a round from Laguna seca.
Great battle for 2nd between Schlosser and Päivärinta! Geezers FTW!
Thank you but what happened to Rounds 1 & 2? Did they get cancelled or just not available. This is great stuff but 1080p would be even better. However I do appreciate the upload.
They were not run with World Superbikes, so didn't have access to the same film crew.
@@Thiswasmeanttobeeasy Oh ok, understand. Thanks for the info.
What happened to the Dunlop bridge at donnington
Who wants a Bingham mk1-49 sidecar? It's the one pictured in the article where it is being raced...
Would they go faster in left or right hand turns?
i'd guess left
Right is a lot faster, whole bike can't lift. Left, sidecar can.
Bought in good faith from E bay 🤣
crazy is as fkn crazy does
Absolutely fantastic racing sadly spoilt by the commentating or lack of.
Great to see sidecars again, its a pity the comentator was so boring!
Its great racing but its just not fast enough, need to be 1000cc.
the 600cc are faster by the way.
Spoken like someone who has never raced a sidecar! Straight line speed is one thing and a bigger engine would give you that but sidecars are all about late braking and corner speed, the g force that these things generate literally take your breath away.
@@sidecarbod1441 You would be right, I have never done it and I now get the bit about G forces, never thought of that.
But still, they are as slow as fk carrying 2 people, almost pedestrian, and I have been 200mph on plenty of occasions, I've had a Busa 16 years.
Full respect to folk who races the chairs though that's for sure.
@@markholroyde9412 Check out the lap times for a solo bike and a "slow as fk" sidecar around any track that you like, you will see that they are not slow. I raced sidecars when the limit was 1300cc and then down to 1000cc. I've not raced an F1 outfit running a 600cc engine but I'm sure they are still quick enough to make most people shit their pants.
@@markholroyde9412 Also straight line speed is just boring anyway, all it shows is who has the most BHP. 160 MPH with your head 1 foot off the ground feels a whole lot faster than 200 MPH with your head 4 foot off the ground.
Great race, but no-one can commentate like Murray Walker...........
Nowt wrong with Barry Nutley or Murray
Do not practice risky and dangerous motorsports.
Are we allowed to watch it at least?
That's funny , not true but funny.
